Thanks trayc.g for this drive by. Appreciate the safe parking which hides the finder from passing traffic. Like the hint
Saw this one straight away from the car so a quick duck out between traffic and I had it, thanks for the find
Still in New Plymouth until the weekend I thought I would come and hit some caches in the Inglewood area. Easy to pull up here heading in and cache quickly in hand. Thanks tracy.g.
Just a couple more finds before I have to get a move on and get the key, get to the bach before dark and get a feed. This was not located initially as I headed round the back and failed. Once at the front again I noted something quite a way in front of intended spot. All good once signed and replaced as in 10 did.Took Friday off for travel as Im heading up into Taranaki for a couple of days out New Plymouth way. The last few times Ive visited Ive been time poor and have done Bulls- NP-Bulls in an extended driving day and been dead beat when I got back. This time I gave somewhere to stay so can enjoy my journey there, my time there, and the trip back. Also less pressure when searching and the Autumn weather is being kind too. Redeemed a couple of DNFs created a few more and had a nice time. Good to complete some Ad Lab series too and the Taranaki region COs are thanked for their hides and maintenance.
Some digging going on at GZ. Found cache under lots of dirt. Will reinstate when all done
#12,958. 100th find of this cache. I have been at a conference in New Plymouth over the weekend and it was time to head back home today. The plan was to stop along the way and pick up some caches if they were along the route south. I picked up a work colleague at Bell Block then we headed south. We parked close to the sign and after a short search I reached through and felt the cache. Signed the logsheet and returned the cache as found. Thanks trayc.g for highlighting this Christmas themed cache.
With ABCDF4, eyespyben, and Gap (of Fap and Gap)... A planned expedition into the Taranaki region. All logs were signed with our individual handles, or Team HRP (Huntly, Rotorua, Papamoa) depending on who accessed the logbook first...
King's Birthday Sunday: It rained heavily overnight, and today was marginally better… There was only one logical place for this hide, but that didn’t stop us from scratching around here and there. Thanks trayc.g. TFTC.

Whilst on a mission to the Naki with ABCDF4, Squirrel Nutcase and Fap ( Fap & Gap), found this cache, i think the others have said it all.TFTC.
Jinglewood! Ha ha... love it! The cache was exactly where the hint said it would be. So the log book has been signed and the cache is nicely back in its place all ready for the next geo-hunter. Thanks heaps for taking the time to set up this cache. I really appreciate your efforts in doing so. Happy new year! TFTC
Having had a bit of a slow start to the holiday period, I finally got on the road and out of town (Wellington) and made it to New Plymouth for a few days. The plan today was to collect a number of specific caches in the area. It was a better day than yesterday in terms of finds vs not, with only one DNF, and it was another glorious day of sunshine, easy driving and wonderful bush walks.
This was one of the caches I was able to find, exactly as described. All good here. I was lucky enough to visit during the month the J was present.
Thanks to the CO for placing this geocache and bringing me here.
I enjoy each and every cache I find, and it is only with CO's like this placing them out in the world that this wonderful game continues.

Love the story behind this, nice easy find, first cache container of this type we've found, awesome, tftc
This was my first find of the day (also my first of two "Welcome to" caches). The cache was quickly found just to the left of where I had expected.
A good location where it was easy to park and hide my brief search.

I decided to find a few caches along my drive today in pleasant weather to make a dent in the current souvenir. I ended up finding eight caches, one of which was a puzzle, and two Adventure Lab stages.

Thought I’d come throw my name on here for my second to last dot day. A beautiful big red J is up and twinkling and getting me all excited for the big day! 5 more sleeps….TFTC
Heading home to Whanganui and needed to fill in time before heading to trayc.g’s so a quick park and grab while Mrs Firewoof provided a shield. TFTC
TeamBOP are together again for the long weekend. Philip.Perry, McJandals,NZFlossy and myself are heading to New Plymouth and surrounding areas caching.
A plan was hatched recently to hit the Naki area this long weekend. Nice to get away and grab a lot of our solved puzzles and ALs plus others along the way. Signed logs Team BoP to save room on log sheets.
I am logging using the Cachly app template so please excuse generic logging along the way. It’s just my way of keeping track, but I do genuinely thank each and every one of you cache owners for taking the time and energy to place these caches. Many Thanks for bringing me here. Cheers.

On a weekend trip to Taranaki with some of Team BOP. Always lots of fun on these trips targeting cache trails, solved puzzles and high favourites. Thanks to all the cache owners TFTC
Team BOP is back on the road this time heading to Taranaki with our sights set on some Labs, some geo-art & everything else in between
Our current incarnation includes Davidson Clan, NZFlossy, McJandals and myself and we’ve signed the cache logs as ‘Team BOP’ to save time and log space. We’ve thoroughly enjoyed the journey as most caches have been found quickly & without fuss thanks to accurate coords and a straight forward placements.
I appreciate there’s a stigma attached to cut’n’paste logs like these so I’ll try to provide cache specific notes retrospectively when I get home. We do genuinely respect the work put into these caches, particularly some of the puzzles, but with a numbers mission like this - the hides start to blur together unfortunately. So Cheers COs, TFTC and most importantly - thanks for bringing us here

Missed this the other day, parking out front., but I was thinking about adventure labs.
So here I am looking for some christmas cheer. Spotted the cache, and the log was signed.
Thanks for the hide

It was just my second cache stop for the day as my first one took a long time... climbing the Stairway to Heaven!

A quick find on my way past. Would like to see the decorations when they are in place. TFTC
First find for today. We were going to get this one on the way in, but a cop was sitting here checking all the traffic coming in for the Six60 concert. Collected it today. No issues. TFTC trayc.g and Jinglewood.
Day 4 of a 10 day road trip round the bottom half of the North Island, and today it was New Plymouth to Owhango.
We weren’t going to go the Forgotten World Highway until it was mentioned to us by our hosts in N.P, so we did some research and thought that would be the way to go.
Pretty cool drive, would be frustrating in parts if you were stuck behind slow traffic, but we did not have that problem with a few regular cache stops. Whangamomona is a real treat of a town - great pub, and you get the feeling there is a great community spirit out here.
Really enjoyed it, great weather, and no problems with any caches, apart from adding some log paper. Thanks all COs.

Been away for the night, so before heading home, I need to grab a cache for the last day of this eventful year, goodbye 2020, also the log was nearly full, so I placed a new waterproof log in it, tftc trayc.g
Thanks for putting out this cache for woolwood9 and I to find!
SL **tm/ww NZ** (may just be a black smudge on the many wet or plastic logs)
We soon had another good cache located.
*No problem, quick stop "J" is in place now!*

North Island Campervan trip Day 2
After the fantastic holiday I had a few months ago traveling around the South Island, making the most of one of those incredibly cheap campervan deals available at the time, I figured it was worth taking a week off work before the stresses of the usual holiday period to enjoy some of the delights to be found around the top of the North Island.
So seeing as I have to get to Auckland to pick the camper up it seemed like a great opportunity to break my drive up there up by going via the Taranaki, to seek out some targeted caches there such as the TMGT ones as well as some that would help me with my Jasmer grid, missing minutes (for a couple of challenge caches I'm working on) and any other caches that caught my eye.
Today was simply the drive up to Auckland from New Plymouth. This was an opportunity to go caching in an area I don't often get to and in fact haven't been to at all since I started caching.
This was effectively a park n grab for me today. The co-ords are accurate and the Hint helpful enough to make for a quick find. There were no issues at all with this cache or the log, which was signed and replaced before I was back on my way again.
Thanks for setting this cache up.

We are on a ten day road trip to Taranaki, The Forgotten Highway, Taumaranui, Ohakune and back home to Palmy. Along the way will be sightseeing, short mountain walks, museum visits, a rail cart journey and, of course, geocaching. Day 4 - we’re now based in Stratford for four days and will make trips out from here.
The main aims for today were to visit North Egmont and also complete a few challenge caches. Despite some very heavy rain earlier we managed our trip in mixes of cloudiness, odd drizzly patches and sunshine, so once again were not badly impacted by the unsettled weather fortunately.
By now we were on our way back to Stratford and this cache was a quick stop and find. It was appreciated that there was good parking here too as lots of traffic rushed past. TFTC

After the concert in New Plymouth last night Arcane Junior, my wife and I are now on our way back to Whanganui. Naturally we decided to try and nab a few more caches on our way home.
Inglewood is our first stop. Initially we parked 170m from here and as I pulled up I thought that sign seems perfect for a cache... well what do you know!
Once we made it back to the GZ it was a nice and easy find by Arcane Junior.

Had to pretend I was looking at my tyres for ages so I could get a break in the traffic! Tftc, always wondered if there was one here
A quick little find on the way home. Managed to park with some cover and a good find was made. Always enjoy this sign at Christmas
A quick easy find as we arrived in the town, but not the right season for the change of name. TFTC
Passing through on my way back to Stratford after a day caching up the coast and in New Plymouth. A quick find late at night. Thanks trayc.g

* 20 years since New Zealand had the very first geocache hidden outside of USA.
* And it's 2020 - all the 20s!
Talk to your geo-friends and start planning to be part of [this event](http://nzmega.com) - you won't want to miss it!

(# 5675). A flying visit to Taranaki primarily to get the TMGT geotour caches. Day 2 was to drive from New Plymouth to Hawera then back on home directly. A quick find. Everything in order. TFTC
Having a day caching near Mount Taranaki. Cache all safe and sound, a quick find. TFTC
A nice quick find today. Really liked the Jinglewood sign!
It's time to start the trek home. This time down the NOrth Island west coast to catch a few more of the TMTG series.
Thanks to all CO's for publishing and maintaining their caches. Cheers.

Chose a nice quiet afternoon, with everyone else obviously doing the shops! Enjoyed the festive decoration, and the sneaky hide, which I nearly missed. Worth an FP. TFTC
.A quick snag and tag here on our way past. Cheers. Lots of places celebrating Jingle time as only 4 days to go.
Day 8 - Saturday 21 December. A long day from New Plymout to Egmont, then Stratford and back to New Plymouth for a few well earned ZZZZs.
The Seagnoid, Zara, Toby and I are spending Christmas exploring Taranaki via geocaching. Its been an amazing 3 week adventure. Rattls BBQ was a great event, meeting many other cachers. But also managed to fit in a few more events, especially New Years Day celebrating the start of 2020. Lots of caches - over 500. Lots of cache maintenance. Lots and lots of kilometers. And lots of amazing places visited along our journey. Mt Taranaki remained elusive for much of our travels and the caches on it at the top. Loved Pukekura Park Night Lights Show and the the Wooden Mechanical toy exhibition at NP Info centre.

Just four days till Christmas - it's Jinglewood again!
Day eight of Taybeedragon's and my big 3 week circumnavicaching trip around Mt Taranaki, starting from Palmerston North. Today is up the mountain!!
Highlights:
* 3 weeks, 536 caches
* Mt Taranaki had been removed for washing, which was a bit of a shame. Even after it had been returned we were only allowed to see it for it was less than half an hour a day.
* High percentage of caches with crappy coordinates
* Amazing Pukekura Park
* AMAZING Pukekura Park light show!
* Pukeiti Gardens
* Lots of cache maintenance!

A dot day. The plan for a work dot day is to take a lunchtime drive south from Stratford. But today things didn't go to plan. As things turned out I had to be at home this morning but headed to the office after lunch. This cache had always been part of dot day 'Plan B' and today I needed it. A very handy cache for such occasions. Thanks Tracey.
