Winding my way to an event this morning. Doing a few ALs and some others along the way. Sitting on 14890 total and 13169 cache finds at the time of writing the log, so well above the required amount needed. Big GrinNice hide, a favourite point for it. [^]

Goldenwattle fulfils challenge Ross Reserve #42 - Challenge 100 Finds (GC8B1QF), according to https://project-gc.com/Challenges/GC8B1QF/43967Fairly quick find. Once spotted I knew that was it. I have seen a number of versions, but never one quite like this. This one is unique. Have a favourite point. Cache and log are good. I see I have been in this area before caching, on a rare visit to Melbourne. I found 'Remembering The Fallen - Noble Park' in 2022. I came by train that visit. Train is my preferred option, but this is a fleeting visit and I am only driving around the outside of Melbourne. On my way to Adelaide for an event. TFTC Pinkpiggy7.

Was in the area so decided to give this one a go. Was in the wrong area first but the logs sent me on the right way. Out today with Cooper from fisherfamfive on a caching trip through Noble Park and Springvale. It did in fact take us a while to spot this one at GZ, as the very good camo had us fooled for quite some time. We eventually noticed something a little out of place and had the cache in hand, TFTC pinkpiggy7[CammJT](https://www.geocaching.com/profile/?u=CammJT) has used [Project-GC](https://project-gc.com/Challenges/GC8B1QF/43967 "Project-GC Challenge Checker") to see if they qualified for this challenge and they did.I made it with 309 finds and needed only 100

Out and about today with my good mate CammJT in the Noble Park and Springvale area, tackling some caches and taking full advantage of the school holidays. After walking over to GZ, we were a bit stumped as to what the cache could've been, but after a look through logs and some more thorough searching, the cache was in hand. I've had my eye on this cache for a long time as I knew I qualified for the Challenge. Finally I was out this way a couple of weeks ago and found the hide but the cache was missing. I notified the CO who said I had the correct "thing" so the cache was archived..... very briefly. Another cacher came upon the hide the next day not realising the Cache had been archived. They happened to have a spare log container and with permission from the CO made the hide as good as gold. So I came back today to put my name in the new log and grab a couple of nearby caches. I had to pick up some ordered items out this way, so added a few caches along the way. This was my second cache for the day, and what a mess I made of it. My GPS pointed me to the handrail, a perfect place to hide a silver nano, so that's what I began looking for. After spending some time there without success, I read the cache page. Aha. Not on the handrail, but just a little way off. So now I looked where the cache page suggested. I found what I suspected was the camouflage, but the bison was missing. I tried to check on my phone for any recent logs, but the cache didn't appear. A search by GC number revealed that it had been disabled yesterday, but I hadn't refreshed my GPS. I did have a spare bison in my car, so after sending a message to the CO, I replaced the bison and log, thus earning me a) a Smiley and b) some cache karma. As for the challenge, According to my stats page, I qualified for this on the 21st September, 2002 - 21 years ago! Thanks to Pinkpiggy7 for the cache.

I'm not a huge fan of challenge caches, as I think they're not much more than a flex by the CO.

This one is different as it actually provides a starting point for challenge caches. I'd really like to see more of these and other mid-challenges.

At GZ, it took some time to find the cache, but then I spotted it! Nice job.

Wow what a hide! TEM was very impressed with it! It’s interesting seeing how the trees are growing here. We’ve found a cache in this park a few years ago, so knew how to get somewhere near the cache to park. Checking on ProjectGC I have found more than 100 (192) Pinkpiggy7 caches alone! I hope that qualifies!

Left with Mogni the day before Christmas to go down to Mount Gambier for Christmas Day. Then on the 27th left for Victoria. Plan A was to go to the Ottway Rangers, complete the Geo tour in Ballarat and then head to Geelong and take the Queenscliff ferry over to Sorrento then grabbing new LGA's on route to almost the New South Wales/Victoria border and the old 2001 cache near there. Also attending a community day event, a CITO and a couple of other events as well. Then head in to the high country and come back to SA in 11 days. Things didn't go to plan. Turns out that one of my almost new tyres was defective ( side wall blown out ) and blew in the ottway ranges on a narrow road in the rainforest, Drove to Melton to stay overnight and get a new tyre there, tyre machine broken and the other 5 tyre companies not open so off to geelong for a new tyre ( and some caches on the way and in geelong ) . The event we where going to attend in geelong didn't turn out, he was late by ALOT to his own event. Then to ballarat to same day since we had a b&b booked for the next few nights. Planned on getting the ferry at 1200 and ended up on the 400 pm ferry but we did attend a event and CITO in geelong. Then we drive into the rear end of a thunder storm with forecast 20 mm dropping for the next few days. Cancel the high country and change targets to letterbox D/T for fizzy grid only using letterboxes and same wirh the multi fizzy grid plus fizzy grid only using victorian caches plus any challenge caches we where near. Plus getting a few more victorian 2001 caches. And finally any caches that had 40 more more favourite points. Only got soaked to the bone for a couple of days but the water on the tracks was noticeable. On the return home tried to get the rest of the missing LGA's around the Melbourne CBD i missed in the last mega. Still a fun trip was had if not the planned one.

By the time I made it across the road, CeeJayDenno had sniffed out the clever hide and was looking for some empty space to write his name. What? No space left? No mind, we took a photo of the chockers log and moved on.

I reached my 100th find on 19-5-2019.

Thanks Pinkpiggy7 for placing this fun cache.

Easy find.
So parked up nearby and made the waltz down here to claim this find.
I had 3 options to choose and 2 looked obvious but soon enough, one option stood out and I was soon happy to crack this one open.
Hmmm…
Log was full…!
What to do…?
Oh well take a pic of course.
A great mystery for some newbies to sink their teeth into and add to the collection.

The cache and container are in excellent condition. The log is chockablock and needs replacing. Unfortunately, my spares were about 800m away and I didn’t have it in me to race back to the geowheels and race back to provide assistance here.

However, if you are next finder, feel free to bring some “micro bison friendly” log paper.

I visited 3 TB.

Nice camo, Pinkpiggy7.

I signed this while walking from Noble Park to Sandown Park, because that's what we do, right?

But of course I needed to run the checker to make sure I qualify. Ha ha.

Having heard about the game a few years previously, it was not until I bought my first smartphone that I really had the means to actually play.

My first find was a couple of hundred metres from home, on April 21st, 2012. Yep, a couple of months after a Leap Day.

Needless to say, I went nuts... and my hundredth find was on May 8th. It helps that Woodlands is only a short drive away.

By the end of the year, I had 1250 smileys to my name. This year's the first one I have a realistic chance of bettering that tally, and that's over a full year.

But hey, I still need to run the checker, to be sure.

And today, I finally got around to that.

At 11:11 on 11/11. Because I could. After a slight delay for a minute's silence.

Thanks for the challenge.

Found it! Today’s mystery cache was this challenge cache. It was chosen for convenience as we were visiting Muggle Wen’s Mum in Dandenong. So this one was just up the road. It didn’t take too long to find the cache. Fortunately there weren’t too many Muggles passing by while I was looking and saw something that was out of place. That is the biggest specimen I have ever seen. Getting the log sheet out was a bit fiddly but manageable. TFTC and the challenge SL. Favorite from me for the container!

As you can see by the numbers, I have long ago qualified for this challenge. I was only introduced to challenge caches by my partner a few short months ago, so I have quite a way to catch up with the ones I do qualify for and have signed.
Thank you Pinkpiggy7 for providing this cache.

This would be a nice easy one to introduce players to the joys of challenge caching. [^]

I was in Dandenong visiting the RSL as part of the RSL Artillery cache I was part way through. Being pallndrome day, I needed to find a cache, so that I could admire the date. I jumped off the train at Noble Park and found this one waiting for me. Love the cache container.

The Drovers were down in Melbourne staying with us for a couple of days to get some work done on their canopy and while this was going on we thought it was the ideal opportunity to get out and do some caches in an area we don't get to very often even though it isn't that far from home.

We do love a challenge cache so we were pleased to see one here. It was quite awhile ago that we met this milestone but we can recall saying to maccamob in the early days that we would never get to our fit=rst hundred, looking at the checker it took us 7 months.

Our list is below

In Melbourne, to see a client, we were in the area and decided to pick up its cache. We loved the hide, and for someone who is not looking, they wouldn't give it a second glance. For a geocacher, it was a cache that stood out. Very cleverly done. Thank you for this cache, Pinkpiggy7.

Today I had the self imposed challenge of getting 12 different cache types. This was one of the puzzle caches that I had planned for the day.

Having found over 3000 geocaches, pretty sure that I am qualified for this one easily.

Lots of works going on in this area, and heaps of building fences in the whole area. That made a bit of detours to get around.

Thanks for the cache Pink Piggy 7

A challenge cache that reflects 100 Finds. No problems qualifying so we went to GZ. Lots of maintenance has taken place in the vicinity with all the mulching. We got a little lucky as we found in the first spot we checked thanks to good coords. Log signed and all back safe as found.
A favourite point awarded as the cache cammo was a beauty. Well done and thanks

Back today to continue with a few more Ross Reserve caches that we ran out of time when we were last in the area. A challenge we easily qualified. Yay.

It was time for my annual rail safety medical which meant a trip over to this corner of Melbourne... and of course that meant *make sure I came early so I could find some caches somewhere different!* Today was also a day I needed to find at least one *non Trad* cache for a calendar challenge I am working on.

With the rain holding off... only just... I though I would double the number of *non Trad* caches by finding this rather *unchallenging* challenge... I currently have 3,083 more Smile than I need to qualify. Loved the camouflage although it was a little difficult to get open.

Thanks **Pinkpiggy7** for putting this one together.

We did not need to run the checker here, as with 21,593 finds we knew we had well and truly qualified long ago. Enjoyed finding the camo used here and signed the log as usual. Thanks Pinkpiggy for another challenge cache.

Set out today with goingplaces2 with a list that included some puzzle caches, some challenges, a traditional cache and a virtual cache. Each one was a good find and we were happy with the finds made.
This challenge has been fulfilled as the tally now stands at 8685. TFTC.

Day 2 of a dedicated geo-trip with Kestal and Scratches. Today we are trying to tick off finding as many different things on the leap day and a challenge cache is one of them. Parked nearby for a short walk to the cache. TFTC Pinkpiggy7.

Needing to fulfil a challenge on leap year day Eskies5, Scratches and I decided to head to this one on our way to the event. We managed to pick the perfect car park nearby allowing for a very short walk to GZ. A quick find was made here. TFTC Pinkpiggy

Accompanying diana8 on a mission seemed like the perfect excuse for an afternoon of geocaching. We targeted this park as it appeared to have the caches we needed to meet our goal.

This was a bonus one for us and the last for the day. At GZ, we couldn't find the cache at first. But after broadening our search, we quickly found it.

Nearby, we witnessed a European wasp steal half a bee from a timid but surely grumpy spider' s web. Don't know if the poor bee was Eric the Half-a-Bee or not... Razz TFTC

29-Feb-20
After having geocached for several years, this was not a hard challenge to meet. Coords seemed to be a little off ( or is it just that skyrail?) but after a bit of a head scratch, GZ was pretty obvious. TFTC

*Found on the 25 Feb 2020 @ 4:09 pm.*
*Cache find # 10745.*

The things you do when there is a non-trad day to fill in, only 2 left now.
Well what an afternoon to go out and find a cache, rain, lightening and thunder, it was all happening but as I arrived at GZ it did ease off for a few minutes, lucky for me it was a quick find and I was on my way after signing the log.
I’m pretty sure I have found the required amount to complete this challenge.

**Thanks to Pinkpiggy7 for placing this cache.**

I was here at geo kids primary school swimming carnival at NPAC yesterday, and today it was the older geo kids high school swimming carnival. I stayed to watch geo kid FoxyLoxy swim her race, after which I went out caching by myself for a few hours until it was time to get her from the pool and go home.

What a bonus having a look at this one and realising I had qualified for it even before I had checked officially using the geo checker. With only just over 500 finds so far, most challenge caches are still out of reach until I find many more caches.

OSHFAM fulfils challenge Ross Reserve #42 - Challenge 100 Finds (GC8B1QF), according to https://project-gc.com/Challenges/GC8B1QF/43967

Cache and log in good condition. Great camo.

A carpet of green with the concrete jungle up overhead. At least the government/council has put in some effort into the landscaping here and all along under the skyrail.

Thank you for the cache here Pinkpiggy7
