I found where I think this ought to have been - there was a stone behind a marker, but no cache underneath. Checked all around and no sign of it. Maybe I missed it, maybe its gone.

Found with StreetWalkerNZ on the second day of our 3 day trip to Hokitika. We have our bikes with us this trip so are keen to bike some more bike trails on a lovely spring like day.
We had found the cache at the start of the track last time we were in Hokitika, but didn't have time to walk to the others. With our bikes back at the accommodation, and a little bit more daylight left, we decided to walk to this cache and the one further along. It didn't take long to get here or find the cache. TFTC.

#18425. When we were in Hokitika in Feb we did the P+G and the closest parking coords, but didn't do the walk to this cache. Today we had just enough time at the end of a busy caching day to find this one and the nearby E3 cache. We had the bikes back where we were staying, but decided it wasn't worth bringing them to get to this cache and E3. We made good time to GZ and quickly found the cache. TFTC.

Found on a three day caching journey over to the West Coast. We really enjoyed the challenging hours spent in solving the many puzzle caches and now the signing off on the log books. We had a great spell of weather as we traveled along the many roads in the area. Many thanks to the various cache owners for placing and maintaining their caches. TFTCSmileSmile

We were out with the fam for International Geocaching Day and just like the previous FTFers we intended to look for this disabled cache along the way. We parked at the top but got distracted by a rather large mud puddle near GZ so traversing that took priority and we searched here on the way back. It was JRK71 who found this one and both kiddies added a Rainbow Beadtail into the outer container. We took a new GPS reading for the CO so this one is now good to go. Thanks for the effort involved in placing and creating this cache for all of us to enjoy. Smile

Big GrinFTFBig Grin with Hazedarus.
We have been waiting for some decent weather before we ventured down to Hokitika to find these new caches. This morning didn't look too bad, that is until we got over half way but noting the rain was coming straight down we knew we could get away with using umbrellas so continued on our way. The rain eased a bit by the time we got to park so off we went to walk this Heritage trail, a new walk for us.
We knew this cache had been disabled due to incorrect coords but decided to see if we could find it using the hint only. Using the nearest found cache as a starting point we then walked the prescribed distance from it then began to look out for something that could be construed as the 'hint'. This turned out to be much easier than we expected thankfully as the rain had begun to increase by this time.
Thank you for introducing us to this new (to us) track and TFTC.

Big GrinFTFBig Grin With Holymu. I had my eye on the three caches placed along the trail but sometimes things don't line up the way you want. Today the day started with blue skies and although some cloud formed as the morning took shape cabin fever took the better of us and after squaring up the daily chores away we went. The first rain spots hit the windscreen when passing through Arahura but we were passed the point of return. We circled around the race course and choose the same parking we used when looking for Sarah's cache not so long ago. We took the brollies but they didn't serve us well on the narrow tracks. After we found the first two caches we understood the lay of the land and had a fair idea where this disabled cache might be. We used the GPS to determine where it couldn't be, then went to where it might be and used the hint item to show us the cache. With multiple options it wasn't the first place we looked but geo-sense soon had us make the find. Thank you maitahisteve
