As with previous logs, nothing around the marker (or any other markers/signs here)
I found where I think this ought to have been - there was a stone behind a marker, but no cache underneath. Checked all around and no sign of it. Maybe I missed it, maybe its gone.
One more up the track..last of the day. Saw it needed another logsheet in a plastic bag. Added and placed back in hide tftc
A stopover in Hokitika on the way to Wanaka for c family holiday. I left the noise (teenagers) at home and headed out for some quiet caching. A good clue made for a quick find. TFTC

A nice quick find as we had a look at the beginning of the Heritage Trail.
We were short of time today but this looks like a great place for a walk so we will be back sometime to explore further.

We made the decision here to carry on the trail that this cache is located on which ended up being a bit longer than we had intended but an interesting walk nonetheless. TFTC
Back in hokitika for my 2nd annual queens birthday weekend caching mission....
After a trip out to the gorge its time to make a start on the unfounded town caches

Exactly, which way now? Would have liked to go a bit further and find some more, but needed to loop back to the Airbnb as the others were waiting. Small in big, but looks like log got wet at some stage
Thank you for this cache, maitahisteve.
Today is the start of a short caching expedition to the Coast with lytteltonwitch; we came up this way to look at the view & find a cache or 2. A pleasant wander down this trail.

Thanks for putting out this cache for woolwood9 and I to find!
SL **tm/ww NZ** (may just be a black smudge on the many wet or plastic logs)
*We soon had another good cache located!*
Good series of caches, we enjoyed the walk around.

Quick walky walk down the track. Been a great weekend caching on the West Coast. Back east we now go...
Nice wee stroll. Last one in Hokitika for us before we head back home. Picked a good weekend to come over, absolutely beautiful weather. Tftc
And I was thinking, back to the airport or go the other way for just one more.....TFTC
Found with StreetWalkerNZ on the second day of our 3 day trip to Hokitika. We have our bikes with us this trip so are keen to bike some more bike trails on a lovely spring like day.
We had found the cache at the start of the track last time we were in Hokitika, but didn't have time to walk to the others. With our bikes back at the accommodation, and a little bit more daylight left, we decided to walk to this cache and the one further along. It didn't take long to get here or find the cache. TFTC.

#18425. When we were in Hokitika in Feb we did the P+G and the closest parking coords, but didn't do the walk to this cache. Today we had just enough time at the end of a busy caching day to find this one and the nearby E3 cache. We had the bikes back where we were staying, but decided it wasn't worth bringing them to get to this cache and E3. We made good time to GZ and quickly found the cache. TFTC.
To take away the temptation this cache is disabled for the duration of New Zealand being under COVID-19 Alert Level 4.
The rules are:

Found on a three day caching journey over to the West Coast. We really enjoyed the challenging hours spent in solving the many puzzle caches and now the signing off on the log books. We had a great spell of weather as we traveled along the many roads in the area. Many thanks to the various cache owners for placing and maintaining their caches. TFTC
Had a great day traveling from Oamaru to the West Coast, grabbed heaps of caches, and had a lot of fun. Many Thanks Bitsprayer
A nice quick find thanks.
Its a lovely weekend to visit the Coast. Time for some biking and caching, and driving home, after a whistle stop tour.
Thanks to all CO's for publishing and maintaining their caches. Cheers.

(# 5321). Today is day 2 of my West Coast trip. Weather wise the day wasn't to bad apart from an absolute deluge around lunchtime. No caching at the time as it was far to wet. Today was a trip to Hokitika then the gorge. A quick find. Everything in order. TFTC

We were out with the fam for International Geocaching Day and just like the previous FTFers we intended to look for this disabled cache along the way. We parked at the top but got distracted by a rather large mud puddle near GZ so traversing that took priority and we searched here on the way back. It was JRK71 who found this one and both kiddies added a Rainbow Beadtail into the outer container. We took a new GPS reading for the CO so this one is now good to go. Thanks for the effort involved in placing and creating this cache for all of us to enjoy.
FTF with Hazedarus.
We have been waiting for some decent weather before we ventured down to Hokitika to find these new caches. This morning didn't look too bad, that is until we got over half way but noting the rain was coming straight down we knew we could get away with using umbrellas so continued on our way. The rain eased a bit by the time we got to park so off we went to walk this Heritage trail, a new walk for us.
We knew this cache had been disabled due to incorrect coords but decided to see if we could find it using the hint only. Using the nearest found cache as a starting point we then walked the prescribed distance from it then began to look out for something that could be construed as the 'hint'. This turned out to be much easier than we expected thankfully as the rain had begun to increase by this time.
Thank you for introducing us to this new (to us) track and TFTC.

FTF With Holymu. I had my eye on the three caches placed along the trail but sometimes things don't line up the way you want. Today the day started with blue skies and although some cloud formed as the morning took shape cabin fever took the better of us and after squaring up the daily chores away we went. The first rain spots hit the windscreen when passing through Arahura but we were passed the point of return. We circled around the race course and choose the same parking we used when looking for Sarah's cache not so long ago. We took the brollies but they didn't serve us well on the narrow tracks. After we found the first two caches we understood the lay of the land and had a fair idea where this disabled cache might be. We used the GPS to determine where it couldn't be, then went to where it might be and used the hint item to show us the cache. With multiple options it wasn't the first place we looked but geo-sense soon had us make the find. Thank you maitahisteve
