Came by to check up on this and it has indeed gone. Not where it should be, not nearby that I could find. I don't think this is a good enough cache to warrant replacing so goodbye to this one. It's had over 100 finds in a little over 4 years so that seems like a good run.
So sad, this seems to have been taken. I know where it usually is, and it's not there now. Sad face
Nice afternoon out and about with tmann421 filling in time before tonight's event.Enjoyed the short walk and container soon found. Thanks trancer96 for the cache
A few caches before the Wednesday Event.Out with woolwood9, a slower pace today but still able to get to the cache! *Soon found, nice walk from Niagara Street.* SL *Thanks trancer96 for the reason to visit this area again.*
I hadn't planned to fond any more caches, but after an uncomplicated first cache and time available I jogged along to this GZ, and soon had the log in hand. Thanks trancer96.
A nice quick find this morning while collecting a few of the other caches along this walkway.

Like the camo container for this one. Lovely to find this area we’ve never been to before. TFTC
Stopped by to check on this. Wasn't hidden where it's supposed to be and was, quite frankly, in a terrible place. It took me several minutes to find it but it's all good inside and now back in its correct spot and hidden from view.
After failing to find this cache a few months ago, I resolved to watch and return if found again. Well, it did get found, quite frequently in fact. I decided that I'd missed something, so returned today. After a brief check of places I'd looked before, I widened my search some. It didn't take long before I was looking in places that I'd not considered before. Maybe I'd taken the cache name too literally. Anyway, I found it, as per hint and as per coordinates. Which is a lesson in not getting predetermined ideas. All good, nice to turn blue to yellow. Tftc!
I have no idea why I didn't see this the last round, but finally got it.

Side note, the Swiss army knife is still there lol... can you spot it?

Sometimes it can be a bit dicey going to look for a cache when the last log is a DNF. But it was such a nice afternoon I decided I’d take up the challenge and go for a walk and have a look. I need not have worried I found it in the first place I checked.
A most pleasant place to go for a stroll. I’ve been here before but didn’t mind coming back in the slightest. Cheers and TFTC

I looked for maybe half an hour before giving in. Noting coordinate issues, I tried looking around every tree I could.
I know people had been looking as they left signs of clearing the tree bases.
I will return trees.
PS: I found a Swiss army knife in wedged in one of the trees. I left it there as it's had it. But I thought it was interesting since it's all I found.

Walked past this cache nearly a billion times before spotting it - a very cool little find. TFTC
Our third and final Bothamly Park cache today. With the "difference" of the previous two caches in mind and the CO's concern about the accuracy of the coordinates of this one, we were thinking this one may take us a while. This however was not the case as the GPS on my smart phone (which I've always been a little sceptical of) took us straight to the cache location.

Another stop while out with JordanD125, were looking in the wrong spot for quite awhile but managed to find it in the end! very well hidden!! TFTC
Possibly (probably) being cache blind, but could not find today. Will watch and return.
1st tree and second hidey spot that I looked. Lovely sunny day in BP, birds chirping, etc. Clever hide, in good order. TFTC
Kids and partner found it while I kept an eye on the bikes. Good fun easy find.
I’m not running this! Quick find, nice container, admiring these printed logbooks. Mihi trancer96!
We did a little tour of possible sites before locating this simple but effective hide.
As the weather was playing nice and giving us some great Easter weekend sunshine, I was out and about today and as I was over this way I came past here to collect this cache that had somehow escaped my attention on past visits to the area. All quiet as I wandered down to the location and had no trouble with the short search required to find this cache tucked away exactly as described.
Cache was well hidden and log was safe and dry. TFTC.

Found the bison container out in the open with the camo bag 2 meters away, about 5m from the coordinates. All back together now and hidden in a hole at the base of the tree closest to the GZ according to my phone.
I found it some time back, but couldn't remember exactly where it was originally placed.
Hope the DNFs can now find it

Nice and straightforward find with KTG. The clue led us straightforward to it. Great hiding cannister. TFTC
I waited for the GPS to settle and found the nicely tucked away cache with no problems. I had to shake off some squatters before I could get to the log book though! Thanks for bringing me to this charming area. TFTC.
I visited Bothamley Park and walked the three arms of the track, collecting the caches that trancer96 had placed since the last time I was here. It was a chilly calm morning with passing showers, so there were only a handful of other walkers and MTBers around.
I was pleasantly surprised to find most of the caches had brand new log books in them. I was also pleased to find most caches without needing the hint, a pretty rare thing for me!
I've done a few park runs out here, though 8am on a Saturday is usually a bit early for me.
A nice quick find after spotting the classic geocaching signs. TFTC.

Just a checkup to see how this is doing. Old log was a bit damp because the O-ring from the container is missing. Log refreshed with a RITR booklet.
Third find of the day. Perfect weather. A few people around so had to be careful, and took a while because my phone GPS was useless, but in the end it wasn't that hard. Definitely should have brought the Garmin. TFTF.
Pleased to find this - especially after failing with the earth cache nearby (will need to bring someone along with me for that one!) Many thanks
Out walking on a circuit up to motorway viewing with a group of HVTC trampers.
Found cache out of its site in view but the camp should hide it from casual passers-by.
Put it back and covered with needles etc.

Lovely walk through here. Especially like the community garden. Found some mushrooms. Thanks for the cache which bought me here
Enjoyed finding your caches along the Bothamley Park trails tracer9. The favourite here is for them all. This one our daughter found - the first time she has joined us in geocaching
I have fixed the erroneous description about the cache location which referred to the original cache (now gone). Sorry about not fixing that when I moved the cache to its new location. I have not visited the cache itself which I thought was in need of maintenance but there is no maintenance required flagged?
I made the mistake of interpreting "directly adjacent" as being much closer than it actually is. A quick scout nearby but wasn't really convinced it was the right spot, so followed the GPS and promptly found the cache with good coordinates. Cache in excellent condition.

Unlike some other finders it seems, this was a straight forward find for me with an almost instant find. It’s like that sometimes! TFTC
Find number three for me today, but only just! I read a lot more than I later discovered into the description and was having a real issue in trying to locate the hide and cache. Should have gone more with the coordinates. Spent ages circling and poking about. Had messaged the CO to see if he would kindly offer up a hint but before he replied finally stumbled over the hide -actually, I was leaving to head up for another cache.
Surprisingly the cache container had a bit of water in it. In the past I've found this type of container it be normally pretty good for keeping things dry. Emptied it out and gave it a wipe. Fortunately the log was OK. Made my mark and returned cache back where I found it.
Thanks for the hunt - it was a goodie!

A bit of an impromptu maintenance visit to see how this is holding up. Good enough to sign and not particularly tatty yet.
A little bit of hunting for this one, but with a stop and think, it was easy to spot in the end.
Having completed the EarthCache requirements, I headed on further to collect these two caches up this way. Turns out I had come here at completely the wrong time of week, but in the end I only saw dog walkers and regular walkers (there were a couple of joggers, but not a group).
My phone's GPS wasn't all that great under the trees (and my handheld had run out of batteries so that was useless too). After going in a circle and up a bank, I finally spotted something in a location matching the hint. Signed the log and replaced. I felt it was a little exposed so covered with a little bit of litter, but now that I read the cache description, it wasn't necessarily necessary. All good here though, and TFTC

GPS was wandering a lot even with a dedicated Garmin unit. Found closer to the track than expected after a bit of foraging around.
Nice quick find in a very pretty area. Obvious yet hidden enough for a good find in this sort of terrain.
Coordinates changed from:
S 41° 7.780 E 174° 52.368
Coordinates changed to:
S 41° 7.778 E 174° 52.374
Distance from original: 30.2 feet or 9.2 meters.
After repeated reports of shoddy coords it was time for another average. I don't know what's going on at this location but day-to-day coords seem highly variable regardless of averaging done on any given day. Today's (10 minute) average was fully 19 metres from the published coords (also a 10 minute average) and the new coords were clearly "wrong" too because as soon as the averaging had finished the GPS claimed I was 6m from the new average and 12m from original. So I've split the difference for the updated coords.
The hide is completely orthodox in nature so people are locating the cache with cache sense anyway but that's no excuse for the coords to be mis-representative.

Cache # 4,856 - Went for a stroll through Bothamley Park with Astro Hunter, Violet Butterfly, Crystal Fairy and EzraTar. Lovely spot, as always. Took a while to find this one, but I eventually stumbled on it about 12 metres out from coordinates, in a logical place, of course. All good here, and great to be out caching again. TNLNSL. TFTC!
Did today with The Wandering Dragons and friends. Pricked myself on some thorns in the wrong bush, so happy when it was yelled out that it had been found. Thanks!

Just underneath the numbers on the signs are additional signs that read "no motorbikes". So what accosted our ears and other senses when we were looking for the cache? A couple of hoons on motorised dirt bikes! Ah well, at least the rest of the trip was fun with Crystal Fairy and the rest. Cache found, smiles all around, and lots of pinecones collected for the fireplace at home. Thanks!
