Grabbed this one on leaving the grounds, parked alongside, literally! Put my hand straight on it for a Q E F

A weekend of sporadic caching opportunities with work and tasks being interspersed through that time. Managed to get put a couple of times today, not huge numbers but enough to get me within 4 of my 16k target for this visit to QLD. Two more Ad Labs completed, and their bonus ? accompanying caches. Thanks to all COs for their caches, and the fun involved with finding.

Bilby has really taken to this geocaching game. We stopped quickly before visiting a relative in hospital. The junior catcher has the goods in hand before the adults had a decent chance to look around. No room in the log to sign. Picture shows the prize. TFTC.

Apologies for the late log here (27.12.23) but I've had a busy time since getting back to the UK.An old fella had basically sat on the cache to have a smoke, but I explained what I was up to and he was happy to move for me. QEF at that point. Yay.TNLN-TFTC!SP (UK) on an epic trek right around the world.

An impromptu trip to Townsville gave me the opportunity to find a few caches.
After our daily visit to Dad in the nearby hospital, Mum was keen to see me find a nearby cache. While she waited in the car, i quickly located the prize in the first place i looked Surprised. I added my name and replaced the cache before she could even log into Facebook on her brand new phone ... LOL
The log was full in this one so it needs replacing ... sorry i didn't have one with me.

Hadn’t found one with all the spare time I had today and didn’t want to be picked up and flown away by the mossies on the wall again this late at night so I came down and sized this one up. Could have been very tricky but managed it in reasonable time. The CO isn’t as evil as some. I think that means that I have a month of these traditionals to go for the year.

On the hunting trail again with SeasonedBird. I’ll leave the more interesting detailed log to Mrs Geo (aka: SeasonedBird, Salty Chook, the Old Boiler, Old Chook, Dirty Bird or Angry Bird) because she writes so much more eloquently than I and usually has much more time to do so while I’m driving. It’s a great day for caching. TFTC skatierocks

Townsville Mega 2022. Monday. After completing a nearby AL and bonus, we headed here as we saw a geocacher at this spot on our way in. We did have a bit of a search here but the helpful hint made it a quick find. Signed the log under the SSQ signature for us 3 ladies.

This was the 8th of 8 caches found on this outing.

Thanks ***skatierocks*** for showing us this place Razz

The hint proved extremely helpful, revealing the cache in the first place we checked. I enjoyed perusing the map and checking out all the different things that could be studied here. Found while exploring lovely Townsville and surrounds during the CacheQld Townsville Mega, with DisSister and Dragonsky. TFTC, skatierocks. =^.^=

It’s Mega time once again!! Woo hoo!! Love these epic road trips and a wonderful Mega event. Managed to cache with loads of different people throughout the long weekend - such a fun way to cache! Have signed as SCG, X, Snag, Capital crunchers, NRC, Nibletricecakes, Minifigas, Minifig or some combination of the above! Thanks to everyone in the region for the top quality caching. Appreciate your efforts planting and maintaining these caches.

Townsville Mega Day Three
Still warm and sunny!

Found whilst completing the nearby AL and bonus. Did anyone else have trouble signing the log here? My pen, which worked perfectly for the cache before and the cache after, wouldn’t leave a mark on this paper, which felt waxy. I did the best I could next to TikvaNZ, I hope you can make it out.

Thanks for this trad skatierocks.

15-Apr-22
After spending yesterday out on the Island, the target today was as many ALs as possible with a few others thrown in for good luck. So it was that Nibletricecakes Albida33 , GLISS! and I set off to become conquering heroes. All caches were found to be in excellent condition so were signed as NAGS or some such combination.
These caches were extraordinary in their variety and creativity. Huge thanks to all COS for the incredible effort that has gone into the creation and placement of both the ALs and caches.

An easy day today, a day of catching up on some logging, Willis007 arrives, so a drive to the airport is in order. Organising events and the what, where and how. We do have some plans for the afternoon chasing some challenges but it is an easy day today.

This was the next cache we did after I picked up willis007 from the airport, straight into it for her, easy day, lol. Log signed and cache replaced it was then onto the next one, thanks for placing it here, all good.

Day 4
Today we teramed up with the Snakepitters to do The Saint, all puzzles were solved before laeving NSW. It was good to be driving in the countryside, not to many people about although we passed another car of geocachers & 3 doing the series on bikes
A quick find as we were going to the UNI to do the AL

Great Northern escape 2022 Day 5. Townsville Mega section Day 5. My first day in Townsville. I tried to sleep in, but the birds were having none of that. I went to JCU for the Labs there and then up Mount Stuart. I hope I get used to this heat soon. I spent the afternoon catching up on my logging.

After completing the JCU labs and failing to find the bonus cache, I stopped here before heading back to the car.

Thanks for the cache skatierocks

Came by a month ago but grabbed an FTF later in the day and as I am short of hides to fill my calendar I didn’t log it then.
Seems the log didn’t want me to sign it then anyway as it didn’t like my pencil but the indent is there.
Thanks Skatierocks.

I found this one this arvo. I parked near Vet Sciences after 5pm and therefore it was free to park. Smoking Muggles from the hospital are at their favourite spot across the road. I found Geo easy but log was really hard to write on. I tried my best with my brand new pen.

End of a very long day for me. Headed off to do a job in Proserpine early this morning. Cleared a DNF from the now closed Info centre, did the work, then picked up a nano at the Airport then one at Gunyarra Remembers and finally grabbed one from the Glen Isla Bird Gallery. Spotted a whole rash of new hides drop in Townsville while on my way back. Not wanting to ruin my daily run I was hoping these held out overnight and by some quirk of fate, they have, so as midnight approached I jumped in the car for one last cache. I did check the hint when the first came online and at the Uni site plan it was a quick find. Third Nano find For my long awake period. Signed log {FTF}. Now off to get some sleep
