Logs
Out and about in Deakin today, it was a good opportunity to find some caches. This was a Farmers5 cache so I knew it wasnt going to be easy and it wasnt. Checked most things but really I was clueless so I PAF, actually walked into legacy office and AAF (asked a friend) and the helpful gentleman guided me to the well hidden hide. I would have never found it otherwise. Tftc
Was searching here quite a bit, and eventually sent off a PAF since I had covered everything (or so I thought). As they were typing I spied some place I had not searched and of course, like clockwork, the cheeky cache was positioned right there! Signed the log and replaced the cache in it's familiar spot (given I had just found a cache in the EXACT same location!) before making my way home. Thanks for placing this cache The Farmers 5!
Found It!This took a lot of searching but eventually I found it. Luckily there was no one else around here on a Sunday afternoon.TFTC
Thanks! Not where I originally searched. Maybe a little sneaky but Im still new to this game
After a couple of minutes of looking around one of the legacy staff members just came out and told me where it was. Not sure if he was trying to be nice or just didnt like me hanging around. Anyway, great hiding spot!
Full time Nomads, travelling around Australia since 2014. Back in Canberra in anticipation of ANZAC day. With a cold morning it was a later start than originally planned. Knowing we wanted to be in Kambah by 3pm a list was written heading south today. Of course the list was just too long but we got to a fun event and claimed a few smilies along the way.Well this one threw us. We initally intended to log a DNF until some more info came to light at the afternoon event. We returned only on dusk to dig a bit deeper and find the cache similarly hidden to 1 we found earlier in the day. [B)] Cache is all good.TFTC The Farmers 5
Out walking the landlords geomutt. Quick find on a Saturday arvo when none about.
Someone at the Legacy House showed me where it was but the log and bottom half are missing.
Cache was found after about 5 minutes of poking around. As previously mentioned, bottom half of the cache + log has gone missing. I can provide a picture to the CO if needed.TFTC!
Found the top half attached to the zip ties. Fear the log and bottom half have vanished into the void
Thought I didn't get the location right but realised the rain and subsequent mud just meant I needed to try a lil bit more
A quick drive by on the way home from scouts later at night, so could park right next to the site. A quick scan of the usual spots has me first scratching my head, and thinking coords could be off due to the buildings. Then something caught my geo-senses, and then the cache was quick in hand. Then the pen decided not to work - doh!! Be back tomorrow to sign the physical log. Tftc
Found after a bit of searching. Tried hard not to damage the new plantings. Log is full and we had nothing else to sign.

Can we really say we found it?
When the CO gave us the location?
We felt pretty silly we looked everywhere EXCEPT where is hidden.
Well done TF5

Is there anything better than avenging a DNF from this CO?
Returned with Baristayan on a glorious public holiday Monday two weeks after we couldn’t find it on a freezing late autumn night. As suspected we had overlooked something in the dark, but we were also armed with a pretty hefty clue delivered by the great man himself at last week’s Canberra meet up.
Thanks for the cache!

Late night fail after looking around for about 20 minutes with Baristayan...shall return in the daylight! I suspect we were missing something...
Stopped off here after a visit to the Mint. Nice and quiet here today. GPS was playing silly buggers. I made this way harder than need be.
Quite a lot of camo was covering this. I love these kind of hides. TFTC

Had to use a stick! There was flowers there so we thought it would be on path but realised it was Floriade and they planted the flowers yesterday.
#2959 Made the most of a surprise public holiday to have a look for this cache. I unfortunately did work but snuck over here after and had the deserted area to myself. As often happens with TF5 caches I check everywhere I think possible and then just check one more thing. That worked for me today and my name is now on the finders list. Cheers.
A check of the cache revealed a new updated garden has gone in which looks much better than before .
Cache is still there .
A minor adjustment and the cache is very obvious to the experienced cacher.
Good luck !

With the new garden in place I'm guessing, from reading previous logs and looking at posted photos, this one is now buried. I certainly wasn't going to go digging up the garden to find the cache hidey hole. Might need to be looked at with a view to archiving.
Thanks anyway. Photo of new garden attached.

Lured to this neighbourhood for a 2-day first aid course, I wandered over to take a look at this cache. It is certainly fragrant at GZ currently, with some new plants having been given a liberal application of dynamic lifter!
The cache was readily located and in good condition.

This was a really fun find!! Have to be mindful of some new planting but otherwise found within 5 minutes. Thanks for the cache!
We had to do a bit of digging. Hopefully it is easier for the next people to find. Also watch out for bull ants!
No luck at this one either despite TD being the last one to find, we were stumped today. The things in TDs memory just weren't visible today (either that, or his memory is flawed!)
Needed to use a pen to assist in getting to the cache due to fat fingers lol
Rain. More rain. Even more rain! Huh!
The geospouse dragged me out of the hose to do some soggy caching. Bleah. At least this one was a quick find. ️

Nice sneaky hide, we were in luck, no muggles today, probably something to do with the weather! Cache in good condition. Tftc
After not finding I went to look for another and thought‘there’s a place I didn’t look!’. Thank you.
First Canberra search and find after the Mint. Haven’t seen one like this in Adelaide yet! TFTC
The obvious spot while obvious was not so accessible ATM.
A flower garden has been put in very recently in the shape of Legacy. Had to make my way around the back.
But just as I was making my mark on the log I was busted by one of the office staff. They had a few questions but where unaware of Geocaching. But very pleasant otherwise.
Thanks for the adventure.

A relatively quick find at GZ once I had walked up from a nearby cache. I am not sure what the people in the office must have thought and I didn't even realise that they were there until I was walking away. TFTC The Farmers 5 SL
Ha, a bit of walking around before I found it. No pen, so this is my log. 2nd cache
Enjoyed a Wednesday night out with onieferret while we headed out for a little adventure. TFTC
As everyone said, it was in an obvious spot. We looked at this spot numerous times before finding it. Thank you
Out and about trialing GeoPartner's new eBike for some 18kms from Western Park down to Woden and back. Great fun and I still had plenty of exercise. This cache was collected along the way.
This cache is a tricky hide with the coordinates a little out for us today. Found nearby the obvious thing eventually. TFTC The Farmers 5.

An inadequate look last time saw me leaving without finding... a return visit on a quiet Sunday afternoon and I found the sneaky hide in the obvious spot (which I obviously overlooked previously!). Thanks, TF5.
Nearby signing a contracts decided to grab this one as my cache for the day. Not too hard once I looked in a the obvious spot. TFTC The Farmers 5
Was in the area today on carer's duty so decided to kill some time until I got the phone call to pick up the patient.
Caching is pretty boring doing it alone. But still managed to find a few today with no DNF's so pretty happy about that.
Was able to park very close to this one and the cache was in the first place I looked, bonus!
Signed and on my way.
Thanks for the hide The Farmers 5

Found with AngelG27 on a Wednesday afternoon mission. Angel did the expert finding while I did the expert driving. Sorry for the late log, TFTC
Cache 6636 on 21 Oct 2020.
After a quick-ish mini mission at lunch, Bobl27 and I headed out for a slightly longer mission after work to grab five more caches to make up numbers for the day. A couple of attempted caches were non-starters, but the others were found easily.
Quick find in the only spot it could be!
Thanks The Farmers 5 for the cache and the fun!

This was our second find today and ever we only just started today we were very suprised by the location and how small the cache was. We also found the facts quite intresting.
