Fond it! TFTC. Cache itself is still in good condition at GZ, however the log way too wet to sign.
Found the cache was unable to sign the log as it was a soggy bit of scrunched up paper
Ducked over here when my bus stopped for a driver change.I would've looked a bit more thoroughly, but i was freaked my bus was going to take off without me And it was 1:40am.Next time. Nice mural inside!
Quick find on the way from Coffs to newy. Log is too damp to sign, so I took a photo. TFTC!!! #2331
Quick find but log is still wet, maybe this is the new neverdry paper?. Left some thermal paper as it is more moisture resistant even if it hates getting warm.
We are on a one week holiday road trip from Sydney to Brisbane to Sydney, with prebooked accommodation at the Big4 NRMA Treasure Island Holiday Resort at Gold Coast and then at Big4 NRMA Darlington Beach Holiday Resort at Arrawarra (Coffs Harbour), with some other as yet undetermined overnight stops along the M1 route there & back. Will be attempting to log a broad selection of cache types whilst in Queensland (at least one each of Trad, Multi, Mystery, Letterbox, Earth, Wherigo, Virtual, & AdLab), including a visit to Queenslands oldest geocache GC8E - Queens land. Photos will be uploaded to logs after our return to home base.Today (day 1) was spent driving from Sydney to Arrawarra (near Coffs Harbour), where we stopped for an overnight stay at the Big4 NRMA Darlington Beach Holiday Resort, to which we will be returning for a pre-booking on the return journey. Stopped along the way for a few caches, mostly at roadside rest areas, and one in a cemetery. This was the 4th of 5 finds for the day (day 1), and 4th find of the holiday.Pulled off the highway into the Nambucca Service Centre to fill up with diesel, visit Maccas, and for the two caches located here. This was the first of the two we came to, and it was a reasonably quick find on arrival at GZ. Log was too wet to sign, so we took a photo of it instead, and then replaced the cache as found. TFTC Grimm Reaper 1.Find #6639
TEMBO! and I visited the Nambucca Service Center. We are not in need for any service but a cache. After a quick search we found it and signed the guestbook. Thanks to Grimm Reaper 1 for hiding and maintaining the cache.T4TC Filser1
Met a lovely lady at the servo geocaching and got me back into it. Neat find.
Tftc found after a short search with red_ear_slider. Log saturated added a new log.
#5.982Quickly found (even with jumpy coordinates) while stopping here with our Greyhound bus. Thanks for the nice break and leg stretch. However, the logbook is completely soaked and there is no sun today o let it dry properly. So we did our best trying to sign it but it should be replaced entirely. TFTC says team mastba from Hamburg/Germany
Thanks paper inside was wet but had fun looking for itContainer is cool. Do you make themYourself
A lunch break here ?? Log is wet but I cant do much about it as my waterproof paper is in the back and no way Im taking the e-bike off the car ???TFTC
Day 12. A last minute plan had been hatched to make my way to QOGM. Very little planning had been done but a very rough outline was in place and it was going to be a day by day trip.An overnight stay in Port Macquarie and it was on towards Coffs Harbour.GPS was a bit bouncy but finally found this one. Thanks Grimm Reaper 1 for adding this cache to the worldwide collection for us all to enjoy.----------------------------------------------------------Are you planning a trip to Victoria? Check out some of these caches on the nominees list for the 2022 Victorian Cache of the Year Awards. The shortlist is available [here](https://coord.info/BMC8QYR)
Great to have a hide at a stop here. Can kill two birds with one stone- coffee and cache. What more could you ask for in life. Log pretty wet but sign in a fashion. TFTC
A two day drive from Brisbane to Sydney, with overnight at Kempsey. This cache was found as part of the drive south. The drive was a little slow in the truck

Found whilst having a rest at the service centre. Found with Dora the Explorer. TFTC
Hmm no luck unfortunately. Oh well time to leave the highway and head to the coast
No luck for me today...although I have to admit I am tired and the search was half hearted.
Quick stop off the highway. Very busy for school holidays and a long weekend. TFTC
Found today on our drive from Newcastle to Byron Bay, we ate our food and ran out and nabbed the 2 caches here, TFTC!

Driving to Byron Bay today, so not a lot of free time for caching, but we did stop here for lunch, so spent 5 minutes walking off the KFC finding caches.
Sneaky one, not in the obvious spot, but coordinates are quite good, trust those and look carefully, there it is.... it needs some logsheet love.... TFTC!

I finally located it after a search....I just happened to be on the right angle and looked straight at it!!

#14417 - 1:34:00 PM; Day nineteen, the penultimate day, of the Townsville Mega adventure with Sol de lune. Spent last night in Kyogle and heading south today counting counties as we headed for Dungog for our last night on the road before getting home. We had caching stops in Lismore, Ballina, Coffs Harbour, Bellingen, Nambucca and Glouster along the way. Wandered over to grab this one while awaiting my lunch order. Extracted a small wasp nest from an obvious spot, but no cache! A bit of a wander and I spotted it. Log signed L.L10n & Sdl or vice versa. TFTC Grimm Reaper 1
Day 19 of the road trip to Townsville with LuckyL10n for the mega and today was day 6 of the drive back to Canberra.
After a night in Kyogle it was time to pick off a few more counties that have been missed on previous trips to the area. We travel through Lismore, Ballina, Coffs and then up to Gloucester and finally to Dungog for the night. Only a handful of cache for the day, but we did grab this counties.
Many thanks to the CO's for yet another cache on the trip....

Nice easy stop, ground was very wet.

GreyHams and myself have been targeting counties for some time now and this trip was to be the last of the NSW counties... It would see ALL NSW counties complete!
It sure has taken us through some amazing places in the state as we journeyed through all of the counties, this trip would see the last 23 counties needed of the 129. One again we saw a lot of variety over the four days from the scenic coast, lush green country side, rainforest, mountains and out west to a much drier and flatter landscape.
Counties were our priority for this trip, and an abundance of larges also made the select list, Virtuals, types, old ones, interesting ones and of course DT, if your cache made this list it had a quality that was needed... we also managed a surprise FTF along the way as well!
It wouldn't be a trip without the ladder, or the esky... and good old Qantas happily checked them in with our bags!
Day 1 saw us flying into Ballina, driving North up through Byron, a beautiful part of the coastline where shirts and shoes are optional! After a dash up a hill, it was along the beach to the most easterly cache of Australia, a clamber up the side of the headland for an earthcache and time for a virtual. Driving north to Mooball for our most northerly county and then back down and across to Tenterfield, arriving after a surprise FTF and a long winding drive through the hills where we stopped for the night. Chose our hotel for the man sleeping on the sign, and as advertised, the best beds, and indeed I did sleep as well... the quietest hotel in town where everyone was sleeping and the lady working there the loveliest... and the best Pizza we will ever taste in town!
Day 2 we left Tenterfield with a wave of a local horseman and made our way west to Moree before dropping down and driving to Tamworth for the night. Some unexpected locations along the way had us saying 'there has to be an earth cache on that!' and indeed dropping out of our lists there was and a few extra locations stopped at and enjoyed.
Day 3 was the trip from Tamworth, up to Armidale and back down again to drive across to Port Macquarie before starting our way north to stop in Kempsey. Some interesting caches and tracks, and the good little SUV was the toughest and most reliable of them all for some of the tracks that were lost in the highest of grass and the pollen of the grass seeds that left clouds in the sky as we passed. A trail of challenge caches tested the little car some more and GreyHams navigated us through with ease. The ladder had a work out and some great caches collected for the day with it.
Day 4 we left Kempsey with the plan of driving back to Ballina for our planes back home. Some newer larges had us down some more bumpy wet tracks, some a little more than we could navigate so a short walk to finish. Very tropical with the mountains, even banana trees and so much sugar cane too. A kayak for great DT was indeed a great addition. Also our down fall as the drive was long, the roadworks a plenty and our plane due, it was a rush and many cache changes to ones along the hwy as we raced north for our plane. Just 15 minutes late and watched as everyone else boarded but us. Getting home wasn't so simple, we got to plan 'F' and a journey of planes, trains and automobiles to get us home, but what a great trip!!!!
GreyHams was as always a great companion, driver, navigator, cache finder, planner, ladder carrier, disaster management solver on another very enjoyable trip, NSW counties complete... go team!!! Looking forward to the next adventure!
CACHE DETAILS: Needed a county find as this morning's larges lost in favour of the kayaking so this ticked the counties, fuel and cold drinks. Jumped over and went near a possible object, but checking my location I went to move down a lot more then spotted it on the way, not far from where I was.

Very quick drive by... we were in a MAD rush so this fitted the bill perfectly

Oh what a trip! We finally bit off more than we could chew but it still somehow managed to end well!
Aquilus1 and myself have been striving on a mission for some time now... to get ALL the counties in NSW. We did the hard ones early actually, via two trips flying to Adelaide and driving to Sydney/Melbourne respectively. The previous trip was a simple Newcastle loop, so....finally the time had come....six months overdue because of Covid lockdowns to complete the last loop: Armidale/Ballina.
Of course, its not just about the counties, we crammed in a bunch of larges, DT, virtuals and even a Wherigo.
Day -30: Qantas screw us over and cancel our Armidale flight.... so a frenzied replan and Qantas agree to fly us to Ballina instead....bonus is that the car hire from Ballina comes with UNLIMITED km's.... this is great as we knew we would exceed the max by about 1200km...not cheap!
Day 1: We fly into Ballina, marvel at the super crap roads and all the people not working, but exercising, without shirts, in and around Byron. So glad my tax dollars support these people! After driving north to scary cow country we went west and made it as far as Tenterfield, but not before we got an amazing surprise FTF on a challenge cache in Casino....happy days! Yet another crazy late night pizza guy, and a lovely motel manager who had the BEST beds in NSW greeted us.
Day 2: Tenterfield to Tamworth, the long way, via Moree. Long drive through windmill country with some amazing walks for oldies and great views of cool mountains.....we said to ourselves "wow, look at that, there should be an Earthcache here that we could log fro the road".... and there WAS!!! We repeated this trick on day 3 as well. Got to love that. Outside Moree we found piles of various grains at the rest stop.... I wonder what that was about.
Day 3: Tamworth to Kempsey, we saw Armidale on Sunday... so quiet, but a great Virtual and a ridiculous journey through head high grass....for someone with allergies this was nuts! We managed a tricky challenge cache series and a multi that required Aquilus1 to go crazy high on a tree.... that ladder was well worth it yet again!
Day 4: More larges and then a great paddle for some great DT. The water at Stuarts Point was so nice, we kept going and going.....which in hindsight maybe wasnt the best idea, but we knew how far we had to get, and how much time we had.... the windy roads then roadworks however messed those plans up. 15 minutes late, watching them start to load the plane we werent on just sucked.... but, the HJ's (and our desperation) fueled the many new plans until Plan 'F', for fabulous, came to fruition.
We made it home, a little later than expected with slightly grumpier partners than ideal.... but we made it! Planes, trains & automobiles in the end..... so glad we didnt have to walk from Goulburn!
