#4621 I walked up to GZ from the pumping station and got a distinct inkling about the style of the hide fairly quickly. And then continued to spend the next 10-20 minutes ruling out every other possibility.I even pursued my initial thought but couldnt locate anything significant to confirm my theory.I refused to let it go and continued my study of the area until voila, I finally had what I had hoped for in sight.Looking, looking, looking, then finally there it was.Very glad that I had the right idea from the beginning and an extra surprise to be greeted with my second fresh log sheet of the afternoon. Thanks again Tankengine for another Googonian adventure.
What a wonderful way to spend a day! Great weather, good friends, a beautiful trail, excellent caches and a delightful Queen soundtrack care of the trail CO! Thanks for the Geocaching Queens - Toyhunters, Barb2e, Joolay, Seach4, GLISS, Contesta and aykayem for all the fun. Signed as GQ16. Popped over to grab this one on our way back out. Great to be able to add it to the collection!!
Wow, fave point!
Out at googong with dty73 and Tankengine for a spot of caching and maintenance. Such a lovely day to be out and walking in the area, with the BBL series the primary target. Really enjoyed this series, it is easy walking on the trail with all caches just a short distance from it, good coordinates and easy to locate. We made the trail a circuit, a shame to walk past a few we didn't have the TOTT for but enjoyed the walk and the exercise and will be nice to return. The lake was really smooth with the calm day and a few other people out enjoying the area on this warm sunny winters day.
Thanks for the cache and the adventure Tankengine!

Making the most of the opportunity to duck out for a few hours of caching fun as the Geocaching Queens for todays group. Then of course we just had to do just one more, and just one more…. With Barb2e, Search4, GLISS, Nibbletricecrackers, and Aykayem.
This was a quick and easy find and ️ here at GC5FEJY GZ today on a beautiful sunny winters day after a DNF 3+ years ago. It’s been irking me ever since so good to turn this one into a smiley face.
Thanks so much for the cache Tankengine And of course for getting me out and about and enjoying this area too
Have you completed the Ballarat GeoTour yet? Do yourself a favour as time is running out to visit Australia’s only GeoTour. For more info visit https://www.geocaching.com/play/geotours/ballarat-victoria

Found at the end of a great afternoon with contesta, Search4, Aykayem, GLISS! and Nibbletricecakes after the walk around the Queen series. A definite scramble down and up but good to find. Tftc
A cool, windy day. My feet got a bit wet getting this cache. Fascinating, with nice views down the creek. Enjoyed the caches that overlooked Googong Dam. TFTC
I hadn't been to this part of Googong for a while so it was nice to return today with some caching buddies as we all targeted different caches. Happy to have a previous finder with us today to help out - this was quite an exciting retrieval, and a little damp, but lots of fun.
Thanks, Tankengine!
Thanks, Tankengine!
Failed on this 6 months ago, but to-day with a hint was a quick find. Come across these caches before and should have realised at previous attempt. TFTC.
Easy find today. Signed dsd or Darksidedan or AB or Adventure Boys to save space in the logbook thanks for the cache and the adventure.
**This Series**
I have driven past this location once before, but didn't have time to make the find as I missed any potential parking spots. Today I was keen to find it, and DSD was keen to avenge a DNF!
After hearing about DSD's experience with this cache, searching without luck with his wife, I decided I knew why. So we headed to GZ and made a quick find today.
Amazing cache, this is the sort of cache that I love!
A big favourite point from me
---
**Today:**
A day off work and caching with DSD!
We were originally going to head out of the ACT, but with some predicated rain in NSW we decided it was going to be nicer locally instead!
We started off by grabbing some new caches around Denman Prospect area, before heading down to Tuggernong and cleaning up the rest of the P&G "ALL7" caches, before finally heading down towards QBN / Googong for a few more stragglers before we needed to head home!
Thanks to the CO's for keeping us busy on todays adventure!

Decided to check on this one due to DNFs... But happy to say it is still sitting nicely in its hidey hole. Current log sheet attached. GOOD TO GO!
Choosing the wrong side only added another 7 minutes to the journey. Quick find after that. Tftc
Somehow found my way out here today and had a look around for this one. After looking in the wrong spot for a while it dawned on me and I tried a different approach. This was blocked, so tried another thing and this got me to the cache.
Thanks,
Thanks,
Took a second to work it out, but it was all smooth sailing from there. TNLNSL TFTC
Out for a day of cache collecting with Decrypter, Goldenwattle, binliner and [@trodectus](http://coord.info/PR8JTE0). G & D had previously found this cache and wanted to see how we went with it today. After T figured out the actual site of the cache a track was made for the access and the cache was located and the log was signed and returned. TFTC
An enjoyable day out on Googong Foreshore with Trodectus, coybear2000, Decrypter and Goldenwattle. D and G had previously found this cache so spent some time enjoying the others' efforts to solve this one. Eventually they took pity on us and with a little VAR input we changed our approach somewhat.
A very cool spot but think an extra half star might be merited here. TFTC Tankengine and a favourite from me.

Found with [@coybear2000](http://coord.info/PR9547H) and [@binliner](http://coord.info/PR2XFEC). We were out with GW and DC, who had found this one previously. Once at GZ, we soon had an idea and changed tactic. With a bit of searching we found the sneaky hide. Log signed and all replaced and we headed on our way. TFTC.
Tankengine had some maintenance to do on his caches out this way. We had a window of opportunity in our busy day to come and fix the one needed as well as check on a couple of the others.
This cache: Well that was just awesome. We parked a little ways off and walked to GZ from there and boy was it cool. The cache was quickly found, signed and replaced. A favourite point for the location on this one. Probably again spent way to long looking around this area, but it was fun.
Thanks for a great morning of caching and of course TFTC Tankengine!!!

I brought my mother to Googong to have a picnic lunch near the dam for her 90th birthday. I had baked and decorated a cake too. We figured that was safer in the present climate, than a restaurant. I couldn't resist finding a few caches while here.
I had previously searched for this cache, and then suddenly had a revelation, but as it was getting dark then and I had a non-geocaching passenger waiting for me, I had to leave. Today I returned and headed straight to the hide. I went one direction...noooo way!...and then the other direction...better . I still managed to draw blood though and get tangled. After that it was a quick find. Cache and log are good. The D&T are questionable .

No fear about not revealing the nature of the hide because I have no idea! haha. Wandered around and up and down the bank a fair bit. GPS did not really want to settle anywhere in particular but I found what I considered to be some eminently Tankengine-esque spots (there was plenty of blackberry about), but alas no actual cache. Did have fun looking though.
After doing some maintainence on my Queen PT and after having some surprise finds on the islands (unexpected landmasses are very helpful), I decided to give this cache a crack. I visited GZ a while back and realised something was off, but it didn't click until today where the cache was - classic! Changing my tactic, I managed to find access to GZ where the cache was found after a few minutes of searching. A very fun experience - TFTC TE!
Not a find today, we searched and searched with GPS jumping all over the place and it seemed GZ was in the middle of the road!
Spent nearly an hour with Contesta fruitlessly hunting. The GPS had the cache right in the middle of the road so we had to search both sides, all to no avail. TFTC.
I came, I saw. After wandering from side to side, I finally guessed what was likely required, but not today with the sun sinking and a non-geocaching passenger waiting in my car for me. Looks more than 2T though. I plan to be back.

As I needed some exercise (rogaine training) today, these new TE caches were an obvious choice. Arriving near GZ, I soon realised what was required. Soon after the cache was in hand. TFTC.

Wtih the group not hiking in the mountains today MuggleHusband was in agreement for three easy walks. Targeting 4 caches around Queanbyan we set out to explore.
This cache was the first one to tackle and I knew before leaving home what needed to be done. On arriving I assured MuggleHusband that I knew what I was doing but I picked the wrong way of course. Back we went and of course the other way is much much easier making the 'D' rating more reasonable.
What should have been no more than a 400m return walk from the car park down the road ended up taking 1.3 km and just over half an hour. Oh well, we were here to enjoy the sunshine after all. Quick and easy find. TFTC Tankengine.

Cache 5436 on 31 Aug 2019.
After missing out on our caching mission last weekend due to me being sick, Fox in Jox and I got our stuff sorted and headed out to Googong today instead. It was a glorious afternoon, and I grabbed around 9 caches, just what the doctor ordered. Fox was nursing an injured leg, so I don’t think I slowed him down today! He got maybe 11 caches.
This cache: this looked easy on the map, but not so easy on the ground. After a few minutes we figured out the play, and made the find shortly after that. We reckon the DT could be a bit higher! FP for the play!
Thanks Tankengine for the cache and the fun!

Out with AngelG27 on the last, but sunny day of winter.
Took a bit of thinking, then we were off to collect. A fun cache. TFTC TE

Found on a nice cool morning and had the trails to myself .
Perfect area for Yowies to be hanging out but all had ventured further afield today .
Sneaky hide found and signed .
Thanks to Tankengine for the adventure.

Always expect the unexpected. We had lots of fun discovering this cache and exploring the area. Definitely a fantastic gateway cache for Googong, or caching in general. So much so it should have a warning on the label "May cause cache addiction"
Awesome cache Tankengine, thanks

**FTF** definitely a sneaky hide and not where you expect it to be. Gorjuz scenery whilst out and about trying to find this one. My initial search had me in the scrub getting tangled up with thorns and bushes - not necessarily required off on our way to find some other caches in the area.
