Unfortunately a string of DNFs here tonight. The bushes looked very well trimmed with little space to hide anything near the locations.
Looked under the dead logs and all the bushes did not find. Next time.
Grey Nomads travelling around Australia - more recently, just Queensland, and of late, Airlie Beach to Ayr & Home Hill. Arrived Home Hill, planted the geo-van and set off for a drive around HH and Ayr with my Garmin showing me the way. Some we found, some we didn't.
This was one we didn't. After checking out all the bushes (per the hint) we called it a day, and headed back to the caravan for a refreshing drink.

Inevitably on a long trip when many geocaches are being found, some get missed. Unfortunately, at the time, this was one of them. So, although out of chronological order, I am logging them today for simplicity. So my apologies for the generic log and the out of date sequence.
Our trip commenced on Friday November 28th and concluded on Tuesday December 22nd. During that time, we visited caches in Maryborough, Childers, Rockhampton, Yeppoon, Sarina, Mackay, Bowen, Townsville and Cairns, with other places in between like Proserpine, Home Hill, Ayr, Ingham to name just a few, with many wonderful single stop caches along the way.
Our party consisted of myself, hatzofff, grannysmith1947, and on occasion, youngoldfella.
Log signed and cache replaced as found. TFTC, Newcacher#2.

Geocaching with the GeoGrandkids when we were just about to give up when the 7 year old yells “Found it!” We will have to take them with us more often. TFTC
QRs waste of infrastructure is terrible. Perhaps Linfox will do something about it.

Found eventually a couple of meters from coordinates. Easy enough find on our way to Bowen for a caching weekend
Found with orth71 on a trip from Townsville to Bowen.
I think we made it harder than it should have been.
Nice hiding spot in a quiet area.
Muggles across the road gave us strange looks - but all good.

A short stop over in Home hill with a visit to Ayr for some caching. Both are nice little towns with plenty to offer the passing through trade.

Found - just after we replaced cache a train came past and honked its horn for the kids, they were so happy! TFTC
Although there was a couple of DNF's for this one, we decided to stop off and take a look and were quite surprised to find the cache safe and sound in its lair. Signed log and returned as found. TFTC Newcacher#2
17/7/20 1100am DNF Heading back to Mackay from an awesome holiday that included Geocaching.
Travelling North from Moreton Bay to Townsville. Stopped here for a break and caches.

We found this one in between rain showers and storms, boy are the road gutters full. Hubby was the one to find this cache and it is in good condition. L 3 TB's and T 1 x TB. SL TFTC
We had only planned to do the snake cache up the road but there were so many people there that we decided to move on and attempt this one. It was a few minutes search as the clue does not match up to where we eventually found it. Left it where we found it and dropped off a TB
Visiting the Burdekin and noticed that there a few new caches since i was here last. Thanks Newcacher#2. The cache was not where the hint suggested but it was easily located
Was pretty obvious, but we overlooked this one. Not exactly where GZ is but within a few metres. TFTC
On the way from Townsville to Airlie Beach, during our holiday in Australia, we also found this cache! Thanks and greetings!

Found by Mary and David at 10:20. No cars parked here at the time we visited, which was a surprise. While we were searching, a cattle train went by. We found the cache about 8m SE from our indicated GZ. Our thanks to Newcacher#2.
I found it. It was very obvious and I camouflaged it to ensure it was out of sight from pesky muggles.
Found in an obvious spot and added camouflage so it would be a bit tricker to spot for future geocachers.
First find on a 3 day trip to Townsville from Mackay.
Had to expand search area, but it is within 10m of coords.
Thanks for placing this cache.

To start the new caching day,
I popped by the station at Ayr.
A muggle was waiting in their car in the carpark.
Waiting for what ??
I wandered over platform side,
and realised,
I could hear a train approaching fast !! [:o]
Into view from the south the 'Spirit of Queensland' slid to a stop
Out hopped another muggle,
and soon there was a muggle huddle [:o]
They took their sweet time before finally leaving
With the coast finally clear,
I had l look.
But couldn't find this cache [:o]
Booger !!

DNF Visiting Ayr from Townsville today... we found a couple neat hiding spots but no geocache today. Thanks for bringing us to Ayr Train Station... not a muggle in sight today on this sunny Saturday arvo.

We ended up covering a fair area as the GPS just didn't know where it wanted to take us and going by the clue to start with we were probably looking a little lower then we should have been but we were on a mission and we have to admit we were a little surprise to find it sitting where it was. With all this wind around I'm not sure how long it is going to stay hidden.TFTC
FTF . We were on a mission and not going to let this beat us. Due to being overcast we were getting put off by our phone GPS. This made it into a pure search of the whole area until the cache was located. This is a very busy main stretch of road due to it being the highway bypass. Although the pub looked very quite. TFTC
