There is a path where the cache is marked as being. Think the cache is gone. Be careful as a found a discarded needle instead.
Day 13 of our NQ holiday & today we snuck out for a few more caches in-between family catchups... This cache was one we searched for but were unable to locate

Despite it saying I am right on top of it, I cannot find it, my only guess is that I have to climb to get it
TFTC. I was happy to make the find after getting a DNF last time. I stamped the damp log sheet and replaced it as found.
During the Harvest Festival, took the kids over to have a look. Lots of possible cool hiding holes, but nothing. Failed first cache look.
Looked for it a year ago, obviously wrong tree then but ok today. Dried it a little bit, but a new log would not hurt, it’s pretty full
Fourth time lucky.
I can finally turn this frown up the rightway.
Log is damp but still usable

TFTC. Nice easy find. Taking advantage of brilliant home hill travellers overnighter and checked my phone. Short walk for cache in hand. BTW log full and a bit damp. Took photo as proof of signing. SDW
Second DNF just cannot locate this one!! 3 sets of eyes, all fail and we checked two trees.
first time geocaching !! was so excited to find my first one and my girlfriend was even more so excited to find it alongside two full cans of rum !!
had to wait a while to put it back as people sat at the benches and took a long time to leave. safely returned back to its spot <3

We used the phone torch to find it. Daddy took me to find me very first geocache. It is right next to his brass band hall. Thank you for the cache mini-charlie835Egg
TFTC. A nice quick find on a beautiful warm day. What a lovely town. We are staying at the Showground tonight. I’m visiting from the Hunter Valley in NSW.
Great Northern escape 2022 Day 98. Ayr Day 2. I went a bit South today, Home Hill and the Burdekin bridge and two coastal villages. There is some very interesting country and WWII features in the area to visit.
With a snack from the nearby take away in hand, I began poking round in trees till I came across the right one and signed the cache.
Thanks for the cache Newcacher#2

Found this today on a family day out. Log was pretty much full and a little wet but otherwise ok. A good find, thanks.
Someone was sitting at GZ, giving no sign they were leaving anytime soon, so I couldn't search.
Pulled up at the free camp, not far from here, this was a DNF last time here but not this time.
Thanks Newcacher#2 for the caches.

On the hunting trail again with SeasonedBird. I’ll leave the more interesting detailed log to Mrs Geo (aka: SeasonedBird, Salty Chook, the Old Boiler, Old Chook, Dirty Bird or Angry Bird) because she writes so much more eloquently than I and usually has much more time to do so while I’m driving. It’s a great day for caching. TFTC Newcacher#2

Looking back over our trip from WA to the CacheQld Mega, Townsville, we have a few spare moments to put a smiley on some more of the caches we have signed as TC along our journey.
It’s amazing to see the country through the eyes of a geocacher
Especially seeing the beaut local spots
Thanks to all the COs for sharing these great stops along the way, making our joy all the more interesting.

A lovely drive to Home Hill and a chance to stop in the park and have a rest.
This was a quick find in an obvious location. Lots of shade provided by these beautiful trees also. We sat at a nearby table and chairs to sign the log.
Thanks Newcacher#2

The Mega has been and gone and we had a ball. We've decided to hang around for a while and find as many caches as we can before we turn south for home.
Cheryl found this one while I was fiddling with the Garmin GPS. Have driven through Home Hill in the past but never stayed. We opted for showground as the free camp had lots of water lying around, the showground had quite a few day sites after the deluge in the past few days.
Tomorrow we'll walk the bridge and see if we can find that one half way across.
Thanks Newcacher#2 for placing this cache.

We have started our return journey after the Mega event in Townsville.
Our 1st stop is at Home Hill just an overnighter here.
The trip today took us to 2 mountain tops, which had stunning views of the area.
Quick find today a DNF last time we came through here.
Thankyou Newcacher#2 for placing this cache.

So today, I have left my Townsville Mega week long event, lol, and started my trek home. I still had a few that I wanted to collect on the way and again had no real set plans. I did want to revisit ones I did not find on the way up due to cache blindness or maybe because they were not really there. I grabbed a few and then just before I got to Mackay I realised I had time to do some of those letterboxes off to the west, so I headed out there.
This one I missed on the way up not sure as to why, it was an easy find today, (shakes head).
Thanks for placing it here, a nice place to stop (twice) and refresh. With log signed and cache replaced as found, it was onto the next misfit.

This geocache was found on a massive drive back from the MEGA event in Townsville to Melbourne. Did the drive with my muggle wife and half/half son. Whilst the family were in tow it was difficult to geocache, but I still managed some as rest stops on the drive.
Day 1 - From Townsville to Mackay.
Second geocache find for the day and another nice place to stop and rest. Loved the street names, how very New York.

Heading south after attending the Townsville MEGA and gathering LGA's that we have not visited.
There are too many negative comments on caches in the series. Let's hope the CO can change this.

Travelling on the way to Townsville with ilook4geo and picking up the occasional cache along the way. Many thanks go to Newcacher#2 for placing this cache which we enjoyed finding and retrieving. Log was signed and carefully replaced as found.
Northward toward Townsville for the mega and doing some caching along the way of course. Getting there soon with goingplaces2 and say thank you to Newcacher#2 for putting this cache into play for us to find as we go.
Caching on the way to the Townsville mega.
Caching today is Semik, BitternA4, Aneka the geopup.

Caching with my main squeeze, Oddiewan, BitternA4 , and our geo pup. We are on a trip
up to the Townsville Mega taking our time driving up (as best we can with limited time off work). We chose your cache in a goal to find a cache in every QLD LGA to/from Townsville.
Score! A place to pick up an LGA cache and visit the toilet. cache was found easily and while stamping the log I spied the most gigantic frangipani tree I have seen in my life — and it was in bloom <3.
Thanks for the fun, Newcacher#2

Once we found this cache, Cliff came over to say hello and we signed the logsheet.
t's day No 6 of our trip to the Mega in Townsville.
WE like caching, but also like breaks for coffee, morning tea, lunch, ice cream and sightseeing with photostops.
We apologise for the generic log, but caches were - with 3-4 exceptions - easily found. We appreciate the immense effort which went in placing them!

Townsville Mega -Day One
Having come this far to claim Burdekin LGA, I thought I should go the extra distance and see the river. I flew over this area twenty years ago, and was impressed by the river then. Not so majestic today, I understand it’s been a dry wet season here.
Thanks for rewarding me for criossing the river with this quick find Newcacher#2. Not where I was expecting it to be!

As I was approaching GZ, I spied an odd couple doing something strange to a tree, I called that I had my own pen, and they recognised me from down south, so we did what geocachers all over do when meeting at a cache, we signed our names, chatted and put cache back for others to find, Thanks for the hide, Newcacher#2, all is in good condition here today
TFTC. leaving Bowen this morning as we make our way to Townsville for the Mega. Just a couple of caches that we can do on the way. Nice quick easy find.
Heading north to the Townsville mega and we are getting close! We picked up this cache along the way, I searched in the wrong tree first so tried the next one and found it straight away. Tftc
Heading north for the Townsville Mega, taking 5 days and finding caches along the way. Thanks to the COs for placing these caches to show us more of your local area.
Day 16 of my cycling trip from Toowoomba to the Townsville Mega event. ?? Today I am cycling from Bowen to Ayr, 120km. ??
There is a good Easterly wind blowing today so I should be able to move along quicker than usual. ??
I spotted the cache quickly and then I was adding my name to the logbook. ??
Thanks for the cache.

Staying the night at the comfort stop and sharing the love around the town, we visited this park after doing some shopping at the IGA. We didn’t like where our arrow was pointing so I decided to try a nearby option first and lo and behold there was the cache, nice and easily found. We sat at a nearby table to sign the log before replacing as found. TFTC Newcacher#2
Fun, adventure, travel, history, geology, mental stimulation, social gatherings, support and friendship are just some of the elements of geocaching.
Out and about enjoying the opportunity to grab a few caches, yours being one of those I targeted on my journey today. Thanks ??
Thanks Newcacher#2 (F=165 H=16) for placing this cache and adding to our game.

Having a great time making our way to the Townsville Mega with Team Crackers, Micaparamedic and Geoturtle37. This could have taken much longer to find had we not noticed that we weren't quite at GZ. Once we moved a little, the cache was located without too much trouble.
Thanks for placing the cache for us to find.
Thanks for placing the cache for us to find.
We are heading up to the Townsville mega with micaparamedic, Geoturtle37 and Papi4506 chasing as many Adventure Labs that we can along the way.
After grabbing the Mackay one yesterday we headed to Proserpine to camp for the night.
After completing the Proserpine ad lab wpt this morning we were picking up caches on our way to Charters Towers.
As we pulled up our hearts sunk as we thought that it was going to be on the cannon and we all have mixed luck with hides on these things but then when we looked at the GPS and saw that it wasn't pointing at the cannon where it was pointing wasn't much better but at least we had a lot of eyes and fingers to search the item. After a complete rotation with everyone searching every nook and cranny we checked the GPSr's again and noticed that they were pointing a little distance away so we headed to there and happily Papi4506 had the cache in hand in the second place he looked and our names have been added to the log.
To save room in the log we signed as "The Vics"
Thanks Newcacher#2 for the cache and for showing us this nice little park.

Called in on Sunday, very quiet park.. Found cache easy enough, the lid was not on the cache and was full of water.. We installed a new log , zip tie bag ,and returned cache to its hide... All good here now..
Local muggle spending resting hours at the shaded nearest table to the cache. So onwards north to the bridge on the fully loaded bicycles.
Staying a couple of nights here in Home Hill with Nonna and cabey.
