We hope you enjoyed exploring and discovering the local history in the communities of Aotearoa New Zealand. The Tuia Matauranga GeoTour has now ended. Thank you to the community for all the great logs, photos, and Favorite Points over the last 30 months. It has been so fun!
As this cache has been archived at the end of the GeoTour, the container and logbook have been removed. No further finds will be accepted.
Spending a few days in Wellington during the school holidays. Attended our lunchtime event and then wandered around the waterfront collecting a few caches. With the geohound as a decoy the cache was soon found and the log signed. TFTC
Had to get into an odd position to find. Very fun find. #tftc #BountyGeoHunters
A great place to sit and watch the world go by (both on land and the water). A few passers by but we were able to retrieve and replace the cache unseen thanks to good hint. Codeword noted. TFTC Infoferret!
In Welly for a day to see the Hilma af Klint exhibition at City GAllery, always time for a few caches along the way.
Thanks for this cache, Infoferret - at this stage I had hoped to try to get the NI GeoTour caches, but unfortunately time ran out.

I'm late on catching up on logs and realized I forgot that one. Visited the spot with Cyclicalcaching, we were able to see an eagle ray in the water. Loved the views from there and the cache was easy to find! Thanks!
Spotted a 10 minute parking nearby, so grabbed that for this cache.
Quick and easy find, but we were sad we only had 10 minutes! Lively area!

Felt a bit foolish getting down in my hands and knees but probably would have missed it otherwise. Nice spot, tftc

I felt as if everyone was watching me at the restaurant I tried to be as discrete as I possibly could and I think I succeeded. Nice hide
The hint led right to the cache, which meant it was possible to find with without getting muggled during a busy Wellington lunchtime. TFTC. KTG
After a good lunch at the Leuven, mainly liquid, a quick find on the waterfront. TFTC.
Perfect location to enjoy the harbour and ships. Log is in good condition. Forgot my pen so here is a photo
Getting ready to hit Somes Island to try and get the geo caches on the island. Nice one to start the day
Out for dinner with hubby at Master Kong - amazing food. Found the geocache was very close by. Lovely spot to sit and retrieve cache undetected. TFTC
Grabbed this one on the way to dinner. Luckily it was between where we parked and the restaurant. It wasn't too busy at the time of finding, but I've found enough to be able to get caches like this without arousing too much suspicion. Really nice view, especially in the evening. Thanks!
I can't believe this cache is now over 2 years old. I don't visit this part of town all that often but this cache has persistently gone missing on the occasions that I have. I was even here during the most recent outage just before Christmas but it was too muggly for me to bother going near GZ. Glad I didn't now. This evening is pretty quiet (not deathly so, so a bit of stealth still required) and finally I put my hand on the cache with its new log and solitary signature. Now there's two. Let's hope this one lasts longer. TFTC.
It always so rewarding when you find the right thing at the expected place. Thanks for the cache.
I'm not sure what went wrong here but we came up empty handed despite resorting to the explicit hint.
At a Christmas function. Explained to a friend what geocaching was and we were on the hunt for his first cache. TFTC
Not many muggles about this morning, suns out but pretty windy, Wellington living up to its pet name!
Yay I managed to find a cache in Wellington! Good quick find with no one around. Thanks Infoferret ... your cache is in good condition.
Not wanting to try for any cache that might be more involved than a simple trad, this was my last stop today. I got a brief glimpse of a penguin swimming near the spot, but it didn't show up again as I contorted myself to locate and sign the cache. Tftc!
A quick find on a drizzly afternoon. I thought that I had a pen but it turned out that I didn't. I've attached a photo of the log sheet which is hopefully alright with the CO.
Thanks very much for the cache.
Thanks very much for the cache.
Found it Kimbathelion on last WOW 4/10/19. Back in Wellington together again and catching up on caching gaps.
A perfect place to sit and watch a Cook Strait ferry turn and back into dock. TFTC!
Staying at a nearby hotel for a conference in town. Was going to grab this last night but weather was appalling. Tonight after been well fed I needed to get some fresh air and stretch the legs so off I went. Nobody about on a monday night at 10pm so a nice quick find. Thanks for the cache.
After finishing the earthcache at te papa we had a wander in the sun to get this one. TFTC
