What a fantastic event.
MattyRx you did an amazing job with the whole thing from the movie posters outside to the log book and the venue. What an amazing place!

It was great to see nearly everyone in the cast and crew of our Cache Police film there.

What a great night, thanks for organizing MattyRx. Met up with some previous acquaintances and met a few new ones. Lovely venue and all so well organized. We know how much effort goes into hosting an event but wish there could be more of them.

Congratulations to the whole of the Northern Rivers mob, great movie and event. You will be getting our vote!

Thanks so much MattyRx for organising a wonderful event and the location was perfect.

What a fabulous afternoon/night.
Although we got there later than we wanted (forgetting about daylight savings) we made it in time for a cold drink and a mingle with the stars of the show before the movies started.
I just loved the classic setting of the older cinema, it added so much to the atmosphere.
Cheers to the efforts involved by everyone to make the movie and the event happen, great job.
You definitely have my vote

And all this awesomeness topped off by a great dinner at the Riverview hotel which was so big it had us hitting the bump stop all the way back to the god coast

***COs- catching up on a significant logging backlog, some stretching back a number of years.?? It started out as a series of unfortunate events and went from there.??Using various methods- photos taken, found lists, caching companions logs, messages from ppl saying my name is on a logsheet but not logged online, I'm able to log your cache on the date I had been there, not the day I'm logging. Cheers??*** ***************************************This was a pretty exciting event as the locals were entrants in GIFF and we could see it all on the big screen!??I love these old cinemas and it was a perfect venue to watch it, it really added something extra to the night. ????The films were all great but the local product of course got my vote.#??1?? Fantastic job by director and producer in putting it together.?? Although not on screen themselves, the real celebrities ??Samboo and ??Max attended to add some glitz to the occasion. All good film festivals have an afterparty and this was no exception. After mingling, photos?? and an autograph?? we were off to celebrate.??????TFTE Matty??

It was fantastic to see so many people come out to see this festival on the big screen. Good to see nearly all the cast and crew of the Cache Police there also.

Matty, you picked an awesome location. I love how old cinemas have a real charm about them and do something interesting with the decor. And I love how it even had a bar there.

Your workmanship with the posters, program guides, and log book were amazing. You truly are a legend Mr Rx.

Unfortunately due to mixing up dates we will be unable to attend. And with the New England Highway closed at Glen Innes, the Pacific Highway closed and fires at Nymboida, without taking the long way around via Moree I don't think we could have got there today. Very disappointing, we were looking forward to this event. Good luck with your entry Northern Rivers.

What a great location to view some good films and one excellent one. I will vote for #5 of course. [FTF] It was an excellent idea to showcase the films at a proper cinema. I was rather impressed at the turnout. Apparently we also had a couple of muggles in attendance who had seen it advertised and thought they might come.
Heaps of people there who I had never seen before so that was great. Also great to catch up with people who usually attend these events.

What a great lot of movies. And a nice way to get out of the house for a few hours. Congratulations to the crew for getting to the finals now fingers crossed for a gold logie.

well this was the purpose for our whole trip away,and I have to say it was even better than I thought it might be ,the effort put in was amazing to the movie from the northern rivers crew and I truly believe it was the best movie there,how everyone was prepared to have a laugh at themselves and show a message at the same time,and that guy who played the policeman the look on his face when the FTF came up was,what can I say other than,real!
Anyhow,I wish you all well and maybe you might have the winning movie,and a big thanks Matty for this event at a great venue.TFTE.

Great turnout at an awesome venue. Nice little cinema for such events. Ken, the owner, has seen many film festival reels pass through his doors, and he was quite impressed with the quality of the films. Loved seeing it all on the big screen.

Was also great to meet a few new people - faces to names and that sort of thing. A really good bunch of folks. Enjoyed myself thoroughly.

I hope everyone enjoyed themselves, and look forward to doing it all again next year. Don't forget to post a few photos with your log if you can!

After learning that the Northern Rivers group had made the final, this was a must attend. With all cast and crew present, it was a great event.
Perfect location, great atmosphere, beers, food, and company.

Event wise, its been a long time between drinks between one thing and another. I can truly say, it was very much an enjoyable occasion and made us remember why we like events - especially those held by Northern Rivers folks. They don't seem to mind that we come from north of the most northern river. The venue was excellent and the perfect location to view the films. All the videos were great, although one was a stand out.

When Suzy told me that we were attending a film festival and that the stars of one of the films would be there, there was only two things that I wanted ...

1. To meet some of the stars and get their autograph; and,
2. Get a choc top ice-cream.

Well I got to do both, plus I got invited to the after party. How cool is that!

All the films were very good, but I really liked the Cache Police partly because lots of my friends were in it, and it was an excellent video.

Thank you for inviting me, and thank you for putting it on at a movie theatre that has choc top ice-creams.

Great night out , the Giff Films never cease to amaze me especially No 5 ,Cache Police.

What a super idea to hold it in the old cinema. It was so good to meet there. A great meeting area upstairs and outside prior to watching on the big screen in the cinema. Thanks so much MattyRX for a fabulous night. We really enjoyed it and we’re so glad we came.

I discovered this cool, old-fashioned cinema by accident on my way to mount Warning.
The building just called me to come and look inside. I like this place as all the little Murwillumbah town.
Today I'm here again, I'll try to come on the next weekend for an event too.

Under a month away! Super excited for this event. I'm hoping I can convince my geofamily OK96BHNSW to come along as well and of course callum185 will be there with me but as some of you know he doesn't log his caches or event very often so you will likely not see his name on this log. Maybe even convince some of my Rover geocachers to come along to check it out. Cannot wait!
