WA Big Trip Winter 2024. Day 98 - Coral Bay to Exmouth. My short stay was over and I was off for another drive. After packing up, I went for one more cache here in the bay and then hit the road. No stops till I reached Exmouth. After setting up, I went to find out what other accommodation options were available, and it turns out the overflow camp whilst it has power, has the powered sites reserved for medical emergencies. So, with no extended stay I headed out and did a bunch of the cache at the point and lighthouse. Sad to see the old campground deserted, bet the lighthouse lookout is still spectacular. I had dinner at the pub after a drink at the local brewery. It looks like Onslow will be my next stop.As I returned back to town, I stopped to check out this old grave. The items covering th actual grave are very interesting and wide ranging. I had no problems finding the cache and signing the log. Thanks for the cache iluvtrekking48726.6 TNLNVisited: World Traveling Gold GC A#6 & 2013 Caching the Wetlands A#257**Albida**
Windy day as we explored the top end. We had just come from exploring this gentlemans handy work. Nice to see a bit of love in the grave decorations. Tftc
TFTC. Been meaning to stop at this grave for a long time. Thankfully Forest didn't fence it off. Careful - was a spitfire caterpillar nest under cache. Ugh.
Yes it's a very lonely grave, we wouldn't have known it was here if not for the cache. Thanks for showing us this and for the hide.

Out and about on trusty treadles and stopped by this interesting and sad tribute. The trip is making me think about re-imagining Australian history! Staying at Yardie Homestead for a few days with plenty of time to explore the magic. Have travelled WEST from home base 4200 km away and that includes altitude as well so enjoying the landscape and habitat changes of this BIG country. TFTC and the lure to visit.
Heading North, not sure how far up we will get.
Found your cache and signed the logbook.

We spent today looking around the Exmouth area and caching, then lunch in town. Good to see that this grave is still here and not vandalised. Like how it is decorated. TFTC
Staying up in Exmouth for a few days after the eclipse yesterday. Today was a drive around to Yardie Creek, stopping at the lighthouse on the way. And of course a few caches This was one that I stopped off at. Wasn't sure about the redevelopment fencing at first, but parked up and found the location is easily accessible. Hopefully whatever goes here next will carefully preserve the site. A nice easy find once at GZ. All ok here today - TFTC
Alone and lonely. No trouble finding the cache.
Heading north for one mintue of moon shadow. This is one of stops on a long journey.
