#23133 @1145Day 3 of an 8 day trip: Drive from Canberra to Melbourne, then by air to Flinders Island, Launceston, King Island, and back to Melbourne, then drive back home to Canberra. Today, I was targeting counties, preferring to also find caches with certain attributes (e.g. size) to help with various personal goals. Cache soon found. TFTC.According to [Project-GC](https://project-gc.com/Challenges/GC8CX6T/44676 "Project-GC Challenge Checker") I qualified for this challenge with 6596 micro sized caches found (2500 needed).
Challenge accepted in May 23 when cache was located and signed...I'm not a huge fan of micros hence why this challenge felt like it was going to take forever to achieve. But my little Europe trip saw me pick up a lot of micros ...well some smalls were classified as micro ..well actually there whole sizing system was very unpredictable..lol...not good for Tiz13 who generally takes everything literally..anyhow I finally qualify for this challenge...stat's attached thanks for the challenge Pinkpiggy7[Tiz13](https://www.geocaching.com/profile/?u=Tiz13) has used [Project-GC](https://project-gc.com/Challenges//44676 "Project-GC Challenge Checker") to see if they qualified for this challenge and they did.User has 2502 finds (2500 needed).Filters:( sizes (Micro) )

A bit of work still to do before we qualify, but log signed in anticipation.Cheers Pinkpiggy7.
Just disabling for a little while as I have had intel on some activity in the area. It will be back, I just don't want cachers caught up.
I initially signed this log back in Feb 21. My write note suggested I was just over half way to qualifying.
Fast forward a little over two years and the tally suggests a very different number now. Challenge complete!

Challenge accepted. I still have a long way to go. Qualifying log will follow eventually
We again needed a Mystery today for a personal challenge we thought this one fitted the bill nicely so off we went again.
Once near GZ we followed the GPS needle to a likely GZ and started our search which turned up nothing. We then spotted another location we missed and sure enough we were soon adding our name to the Log book.
Many thanks Pinkpiggy7 for the Challenge and the hide.

Left with Mogni the day before Christmas to go down to Mount Gambier for Christmas Day. Then on the 27th left for Victoria. Plan A was to go to the Ottway Rangers, complete the Geo tour in Ballarat and then head to Geelong and take the Queenscliff ferry over to Sorrento then grabbing new LGA's on route to almost the New South Wales/Victoria border and the old 2001 cache near there. Also attending a community day event, a CITO and a couple of other events as well. Then head in to the high country and come back to SA in 11 days. Things didn't go to plan. Turns out that one of my almost new tyres was defective ( side wall blown out ) and blew in the ottway ranges on a narrow road in the rainforest, Drove to Melton to stay overnight and get a new tyre there, tyre machine broken and the other 5 tyre companies not open so off to geelong for a new tyre ( and some caches on the way and in geelong ) . The event we where going to attend in geelong didn't turn out, he was late by ALOT to his own event. Then to ballarat to same day since we had a b&b booked for the next few nights. Planned on getting the ferry at 1200 and ended up on the 400 pm ferry but we did attend a event and CITO in geelong. Then we drive into the rear end of a thunder storm with forecast 20 mm dropping for the next few days. Cancel the high country and change targets to letterbox D/T for fizzy grid only using letterboxes and same wirh the multi fizzy grid plus fizzy grid only using victorian caches plus any challenge caches we where near. Plus getting a few more victorian 2001 caches. And finally any caches that had 40 more more favourite points. Only got soaked to the bone for a couple of days but the water on the tracks was noticeable. On the return home tried to get the rest of the missing LGA's around the Melbourne CBD i missed in the last mega. Still a fun trip was had if not the planned one.

Still quite a few to find before I can get a smiley here.

Someone suggested shenanigans, so we ended up doing a lap around the reservoir to pick up a few caches we had our eyes on.
And now the (slow) race is on between my partner in crime and yours truly... in about five hundred finds shy of qualifying and in no hurry whatsoever.
Thanks for another incentive to keep on caching, Pinkpiggy7

Found at 11:38 am.
With forced holidays and 3 days of potential rain coming up I decided to spend a few hours today going for a drive finally finding a few puzzles I had solved during the many lockdowns. I traversed a lot of dirt roads today so the car really needs a clean, but that's not going to happen.
I wasn't expecting any muggles on this back road but I had to wait for a couple of golfers to walk past before signing the log.

Great weather and a free Sunday so decided to go caching with some geo friends out East.
Lots more caches to find for this one. Only just over half way!
Thanks Pinkpiggy7 for the cache.
**The log for this cache was signed on 28/02/2021 whilst completing caches in the area, however the write note was mistakenly logged under challenge GC806DE which is some 70km+ south of here (and we didn't travel that far south that day!). In true geocaching style, I have put the puzzle together today after noticing the incorrect challenge in an area I hadn't cached before. Apologies for the confusion.**

That is more than half of all the caches I've found. Signed in anticipation but don't like my chances.
Pleased to say that we got a tick on this when we ran the checker. A little surprised at how well we qualified as they are not the favourite size. Thanks for the cache.

Out today caching with Brainiac03 with the intention of clearing out cardinia reservoir and some nearby multis through the day.
This was one of the challenge caches that I sadly do not qualify for at the moment but hopefully will change that soon.

Today, buhfuhguh and I were out on another caching run, this time in the Upper Beaconsfield/Emerald region with a focus on passing by Cardinia Reservoir before the weather started to heat up and our battle plan was forced to change.
A very hot day for geocaching but still a lot of fun (and nothing that the Astra's air con couldn't handle) filled with plenty of fantastic finds along the way!
Well, with 1860 micros left to find (more than my current find count!) this one will probably be on the backburner for a little while!
The hide was quick to find though and the logbook was signed in anticipation of a day, say, 10 years from now when I finally unscrew enough bison tubes to qualify!
Thanks to Pinkpiggy7 for the cache!

This was the last of the bunch I wanted to grab down here today. After all, what's the use of finding all those blessed micros along the journey if you can't get a smiley on a challenge cache like this one? Thankfully it was a nice quick find at 14:20 and it was time to head for home.
TNLNSL, although a couple of our geocoins had a visit to mark the occasion. Thanks Pinkpiggy7

It was time today to go looking for a few challenge caches with ilookgeo as we really enjoy these. No problem in qualifying fir this one as we currently have found 7676 micro size caches. Thanks go to Pinkpiggy for issuing this challenge and for placing this cache.
Did a selection of caches today with goingplaces2 and had a good day by finding different kinds in the mix. Logs were signed and each one was different. Thanks for hiding this cache.

We do so love a Challenge cache and so this one was on our target list of caches to search for today. The cache was quickly located once at Ground Zero. We signed the log book and then replaced as found. We also qualify for this Found It log, as per the proof attached, having found 9,338 Micro sized caches. Thanks so much for the cache and a favourite point awarded for the challenge. Greetings from Zimbabwe
Very quiet here this morning. Cache in good condition. What a shock, I do not qualify. One day.
Thank you, another Challenge I qualify for. Popping this on here so I don't need to look it up again. When this one was first published, l looked at it and thought, this cache is for my as I well and truly qualified for it but it wasn’t able to get out to it.
I kept an eye on it trying to work out how to get out here and finally I worked out a plan only to then see Bernie’s log on the cache, oh well not such of a hurry anymore but as we were out this way today, I had to stop for a look.
Once at GZ a quick find was made.

**Thanks to Pinkpiggy7 for placing this cache.**

When we noticed that this cache had been published, we were reasonably confident that we met the requirements and a check on Project-GC confirmed our thoughts.

With my car booked in for service today I was somewhat home-bound until it was ready this afternoon. After a call from the dealer I was making slow progress but finally I had my car and I was on the road. Getting close to knock of time I was expecting a race from Riddell but I got to the cache and was rewarded with a blank log book

Only 1851 more bisons hanging in a tree to find. If I can keep the rate up I have maintained over the previous 8 years I should qualify for this one 22 years time. Challenging!
