Out for short dusk-time wander along this pathway that I've not yet set foot on for a spot of urban caching.Having parked my car nearby I wandered towards the GZ and, accompanied by the sounds of U2 blasting from a nearby house, I spotted something that demanded some attention.Ha! A quick find just before I was muggled. Some nice handiwork here DaffyNZ. Thanks#5222
We looked for ages, was very tricky, but a person walking past kindly helped us. Awesome hiding spot!
I had signed up for The Wild Kiwi 15km trail run around Mt Lion at Whangarei Heads. Didn't really want to drive up from Auckland on the morning of the race so I took Friday off work to spend some time caching in Whangarei. Was more grateful for this decision when the Brynderwyn Hills closure was announced, which would add on an extra half hour to the trip.I wasn't having too much luck with some caches this morning, either due to construction near GZ, too many muggles or just struggling to find the hint items. So it was nice to finally have an area free of construction and muggles and a hint that was useful. I spotted a likely hide as I approached. Very thankful for the quick find and extraction here.
A nice quick find, on our way to find dinner. Thanks for placing your cache. Ms_KR and I are on the road again, up "North" to visit family an friends. Today cruised around Whangarei. The odd torrential downpour and and then sunny skies!Occassionally signed MK+KR on cache logs, and apologies for the generic logs. Thanks to all CO's for publishing and maintaining their caches.
Such pretty rewarewa trees nearby. Bet they look lovely when they flower in the spring. A favorite point for that and the fun cache presentation. Thank you DaffyNZ
As we approached gz we spotted something that could be the cache. Boom in our hand! A fun cache to find. Was nice and quiet in the area thus morning.A fav point added.Thank you DaffyNZ for placing this cache.Log signed as B&PFind number 4990
Yes very clever hiding spot, I like the work gone into it. Really surprised my daughter....what is that it!!!!
Sometimes the thing you are staring at that you thinkThat cant be it is actually it! Love the craftiness of these kind of caches. An fp from me. Tftc
Easily found with the cache name.Easily found while in Whangarei on my electric scooter.
I found the cache quickly enough in its hidey hole but there was only a stone In it and no log. Hopefully I was T missing something
Last night before heading home...out getting a few caches with Beeba. Tftc in a well lit area.
The last cache as I haul my container of rubbish back to the CITO event.
I had a fair idea where the hide was but just to be sure, as i wasn't familiar with the hint item, I googled it, which confirmed my suspicions.
Thanks for another nice hide

Took my friends and I about 1-2 minutes to find as it wasn’t put in properly but we fixed it and it was fun for our first find
Qnother amazing camo job on this one. Easy find when youve been caching a while you tend to know what to look for. As per some previous finders, the ants have made a home in this and I disturbed them. TFTC
Just joined Geocache. Took some students across the road as a learning experience and to enjoy the sunshine. Sadly none of us could find it. I guess we're too inexperienced? Or has it been removed?
Being in Kensington to take my daughter out for morning tea before she started work and GAR taking the car for at least an hour and a half, I thought this path would bee a good one to walk and collect some caches. I came down from Kensington Ave to start here. Where I ended up finding the cache I had at first dismissed and found another spot that looked too hard to retrieve with people walking around so figured I had it wrong and kept looking. A big duh when I realised where it was. Nice hide DaffyNZ!
Very sneaky, I like it. I had to grab this on my way back from a bike ride up the trail since it was to busy immediately after work, but had spotted something of interest on my way past the first time which I suspected could be the hide, nice one, cheers
Woohoo!! Great spot. 3 posts, on the black fence. Nice spot. Never been on that path before. Promoting outdoors 100%
Took ages to find, there were so many muggles passing while we were there, late Sunday afternoon is obviously busy! Tftc
I hope you like ants ... opened it to find it was in an ants nest. Quick find and love the cache.
Tried to ring this one the other day, but was engaged with lots of young muggles hanging around! Spotted it but couldn't grab it. Came back today while getting essential supplies to keep cool. A quick grab and go. TFTC
What a nice sneaky wee hide with a bit of help from the co. Found with fire house 0405.
Came to Whangarei to play in the NZ Masters Squash....but always make time for a little bit of caching - especially when I come to a place I've not been to before.
This pathway was a bit too busy for me to do much caching today - so I walked past several without attempting. But when I got to this one I had a clear couple of minutes from both directions. Quickly spied something that was a bit out of place - yay!

Decided to walk up to collect a new cache on the trail and get some others while we were here. As we waited for some people to pass, I said that looks strange it must be there. Sure enough a little while later we had it in hand. TFTC
A quick find even though it has a darstardly camo. I had to walk past this one at first because a man on a bicycle was hanging around the GZ. TFTC.
this is the first time I've used this app and it was such a rush when i found it, it's like a 24/7 treasure hunt. i love it
Nice find while in the area with tmann421 today
Enjoying the trip north and the caches

Nice find with woolwood9 today.
*We enjoyed the drive / walk around the area.*
Stamped logs as tm/ww NZ which may just look like a black smudge on plastic logs!
TFTC

I'm on my way to Hamilton this weekend for a family wedding. I just wanted to grab a quick cache on my way through to fill in today's dot day.
I used to board at Lupton House and my room in form 7 was just above the entrance way. It would have been the perfect place to spy on geocachers except for the fact that the big blue switch hadn't been pushed yet. A neat hide, thanks Greg

Seen this type of cache before so spotted on approach. Path not too busy. Signed and replaced. Tftc.
Loved this one too... our third for the walk, will come back and do the others later.... thanks for the great hide
Out for a walk while "Hoof" was at the gym. It was nice and early so I thought I would pick up a couple of caches on the new Kamo walkway. This one was brilliant! Thanks
ANT CITY.
Nice easy cache to find and a well hidden open one.
I think the base may be open as the hundreds of ants filled up inside.

Spending the long weekend in the area with Jag50. MrsJag walked straight up to this one while I ambled straight past. Now I get the name
Staying in whangarei with Merlot58. Merlot walked right pass the clever camo on this cache. MrsJAG stopped to check an item of interest which revealed the well constructed cache
Staying in Whangarei for the week as one of the Jr. Cachers is playing in the U15 hockey tournament here and trying to fit in a few caches too. Decided to fit one more find in for today and this seemed like a good option. Have a couple of similar sort of hides ourselves and so quickly recognized the hide. Retrieved by Jr. Cacher #5 between passing muggles and returned as found. TFTC.
Passing by decided to grab this. Nice bit of creativity here seen some similar ones but this is better made. Certainly deserves a favorite. Thanks for the cache.
TFTC... STF...congrats OB8OB8 on the FTF... saw this pop up yesterday while at home up North and knew I had hospital appts today and was hoping I may have been lucky to grab first... but all good.
While approaching GZ... inspected the surrounding area for what could likely be GC... spotted it but had to wait for cycling and walking muggles to vacate... so went for a walk to the end and on return had cache in hand... very clever
FP added for the effort and cunning thought that went in!

Had almost finished lunch, when my phone buzzed it's alert for a new cache and a quick check revealed it was not too far away across town. After finishing a couple of urgent tasks, I figured I could zip out of the office for 30 minutes and try for an FTF.
Once parked up in Lupton Ave near to GZ, I thought I could make out a far distant cousin of my HIPSter Cycleway cache, which is a little further up this great shared pathway.
Not many school muggles about, but thought it safest to don the invisibility cloak, before heading over to GZ. It worked a treat, as I was completely ignored by the two muggles who crossed the railway and headed along the nearby street.
Once at GZ, my suspicions were confirmed and I was able to quickly locate the log and sign off for FTF number 127, bang on 1:00 pm. I like this sort of hide that a bit of thought and work has gone into and gets a fave from me. TFTC
