TFTC out and about while the weather is ok cache is in good condition we have never been up this road so another road travelled adventuring.
Even though it was a bit damp the cache was no problem. Heading up would not have been a good idea.A fun loop around the south east and beyond with deanside. Nice quick find always a bonusThanks TCJWD for showcasing this area and contributing to this great game for myself and others to enjoy. Happy trails!
We are travelling with richlink on our Annual Caravan Geocaching road trip, using geocaching as our guide. We are in Beautiful Mt Gambier for a few days, soaking up the amazing things this area has to offer. We especially love the bush, the back roads, and the wild southern seas. TFTC LNCU.
Travelling with iluvtrekking from our home state of WA on. SA caching foray. Staying in Mount Gambier for a week to grab some of the local hides. Its been sixteen years since since we were last here so enjoying the re-visit. Love the country road caching .Thanks for the hideLNCU
Shazzar66, AtTheLakeHouse and I flew from Brisbane to Adelaide to attend the Leap Day Mega. Our plan was to drive from Adelaide to Mt Gambier to find more of our targeted caches in the area, and then to drive to Melbourne Airport via Ballarat, as we had targets there too. Our caching list included Oldies, good or needed D/T caches, caches with high Favourite Point, geo-tour caches in Ballarat and several others that took our interest when we had extra time.We hadnt planned to find this cache, however it was en route to another cache that was on our list, or so we thought. At GZ, I spotted the cache, however it was Shazzar66 who did the signing honours here, as she was closest. Cache was signed SADDLE Club, our team name during our trip. Thanks for the cache
We were in Adelaide for The Great Leap Forward (Mega-Event). After the event we made our way through to Mt Gambier, and cached a few random caches in the surrounding areas.I found your cache, Percy today. This is my 2948 find.Having a girlie trip with Duppers and At The Lake House. Signed as Saddle club to save room in the logbook.TCJWD, TFTC, TFTH & TFTSF
Suscoe headed out this morning for another trip around the Mt Gambier area.
It was a cool morning with drizzly rain.
Plenty of cows and sheep as we travelled around the roads.
Thanks to TCJWD for this hide, nice and quiet out here while finding this cache.

SL at 12:35pm. Day out with MuggleMasterKid8. We had a few errands to do in Mt. Gambier so we thought we might do a cache or three. After caching we did some grocery shopping, got some lunch and then headed home.
*Did approach this from the north, heading down from the other cache before reading the logs here. My GZ was out but you can still use your geosenses to find the cache.
*TFTC TCJWD and the challenge!

This is a wonderful town that we have visited before, but we are still amazed at what the town has to offer.
Today we travelled around the outskirts of town caching as we explored the area.
Thanks for placing your cache.

South East trip with the geo-pup. Day 9, around Mt Gambier and Mt Schank. Found after digging around, weeds had grown over it.
Note- approach this one from the north, track is good for 2wd in dry conditions. Track from the south is impassable by vehicle, large rocks block the path.

We thought we would have a day out collecting smiley's around Mt Gambier to reach our 3000 find. Thanks for placing a cache to help us reach our goal.
Thought this was going to be a DNF as no-one had logged anything for nearly 12 months. But after a very quick search with BraydsSA coming up with the goods, it was signed, sealed and delivered. TFTC SL
This weekend, [@jesswrigley](http://coord.info/PRNW59T) and I headed to the limestone coast / south-east for some sightseeing, mountain biking, and sinkhole diving. On Friday night, we stayed at Robe, seeing the famous obelisk the following morning. We then drove through Little Dip Conservation Park to Beachport, then Rendelsham, Hatherleigh, and staying in Millicent. On Sunday, we checked out Tantanoola and the Tantanoola Caves, mountain biked through Mount Gambier Forest and Browns Lake area, and finally on Monday, we dived Kilsby Sinkhole before driving back Telford Scrub Conservation Reserve and Penola. A great long weekend of sunny weather.
Today, [@jesswrigley](http://coord.info/PRNW59T) and I started the day with a Mount Gambier breakfast event, as well as finding a few FTFs. We then experienced scuba diving Kilsby Sinkhole, and then started driving north back home. We stopped off at Telford Scrub Conservation Reserve, mountain biking a few of the replaced caches and those that I didn't find during the last visit. We also stopped off at Penola for that Adventure Lab, as well as a few stops within the Coonawarra area.
After attempting this cache from one direction a few months ago, we made the opposite approach today, which turned out to be much easier. The cache was found reasonably quickly, and the cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks TCJWD for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.
Note that this geocache was logged with the *Team Warren* Davidwazza/jesswrigley stamp.

A fun weekend away with [@Davidwazza](http://coord.info/PR61VZX) exploring Mt Gambier & surrounds! TFTC!
Found It!
At first I came from the south but soon realised that wasn't going to work. So I drove around to the north side and drove to with 5m of the cache without needing to engage the 4WD. Then a quick find after that!

This weekend, I headed to Mount Gambier for another weekend of cave diving practice. I was diving at Pines Cave for both Saturday and Sunday, and spent a little time with finding a few geocaches in the afternoons. Saturday was spent around the Mount Gambier Prison vicinity, while Sunday was spent travelling back to Adelaide via Millicent and Beachport lakes inland section.
This afternoon following my dives, I decided to head to the west of Mount Gambier and find a cluster of geocaches around Mount Gambier Prison. A few drivebys and a visit to McNamara Park where the motorbikes must race. A pleasant few hours before darkness fell.
Which was the right and which was the wrong direction?? The description nor any logs indicated that information, and so I was perplexed whether the best access was from the north or south. I noted that if [@Freddo](http://coord.info/PR8C14)'s Pajero or “Payhero” could do this, then my Jeep would probably not have any issue. However, it looks like this track has severely worsened, and probably need a monster truck now to access.
P.s. Don't access from the south, unless you own a monster track. Approach from the northern direction.

Some good weather on the radar for today so we made a big list of caches that we had yet to tackle.
Good day was had with only 2 DNF's and NO RAIN. The sun even came out for the afternoon.

I headed down to the South East for some family time now that Regional Travel is back on the agenda...
scramping, PrincessAria1, little GoosE & I headed off into the evening to grab a couple of caches being that PA1 had missed out on the earlier caching expedition as she was at school...
Last time we looked at getting this cache we approached from the wrong direction and got stopped by a very sandy hill...tonight coming from a different direction there wasn't a problem...
Cache was quickly located, stamped and returned to it's hide...
Wipes and Hand sanitiser were used in the retrieval of this cache...

Tried to get this one in my XR6 a month or so ago but today discovered that even with a trailer on behind the Defender it was possible to get to easily....especially coming from the opposite end of the road lol. Could of done it in the XR6 this way. ...oooops...lesson learnt...look at both ways of access before trying to get a cache. Hubbie had cache in hand before I even got my stamp and jumped out of the car. TFTC

This place is certainly roo central, most of them headed for the open paddock as we drove down then up the hill. Didn't count them but could have been at least 40 and they are big, plenty more stayed in the pines too. Good place for locals to bring any overseas visitors they may have staying with them.

Nice easy find.
Found at 0938hours in an area we have not ventured before, darn we have the 4x4 in the crash repairers today so no off road stuff for us in the little car.
What luck, home from an Adelaide trip last night and a new cache this morning,
Well there ya go, didn't know Mount Percy was even a location, learn something new everyday. No pointing Percy today just went straight for the cache.
Thanks TCJWD for the cache. TNLNSL
