Searched for an hour for this one no luck. Looked in under and around all the rocks within a 10m radius
I don't need a mint, but thanks for the offer! Some water after climbing up the hill would be nice though!
Boy this took way longer than it should have! So many great places for a cache hide, crevices and cracks and openings, but all came up empty. Finally I saw a strange tell-tale sign, the camo looked too un-natural to not be hiding the cache, and finally dug it out of it's hole. Phew that was quite well hidden!
No mints either..... just a log to sign....lucky I wasn't wanting them!
Thanks

Cache 6461 on 12 Sep 2020.
Out for a Saturday meander with Fox in Jox before breakfast. We were rewarded with fabulous views towards the Brindabellas with low lying fog making the views as pretty as a picture. I nabbed 6/6 caches on our walk, he nabbed 7. Then off to breakfast at our new favourite cafe in Denman Prospect.
Fifth one of the morning, and took a bit of finding. Not in the usual locations we were expecting to find a cache, more at our feet. Container not great.
Thanks gmhmcrew for the cache and the fun!

Took longer than I expected, a bit different and had to sit down and read the previous logs. When I finally found it, the container has been bent and the lid no longer closes. Removed a treasure and will deposit it in another cache which is a bit bigger. TFTC
Had a bit of a look around after the Ridgeopup finally returned from chasing a kangaroo down the hill.
TFTC had to come back again after I’d done the rounds as hint not accurate and coords out by 6m or so. Lots of rocks to choose from!
Phew, nearly started a family argument trying to find this one! Took us about 20 minutes once we found the spot.
Took a little bit to locate because I was distracted by so many good spots. Log was a bit wet, but I managed to sign and tried to ensure lid was secure. TFTC.
Last sunday morning I went for a cycle to, and around, Cooleman Ridge - one of my favourite places to bike. The main trail here is exceptionally well maintained, much more so than most others I know in Canberra's south, and it is close enough to my home that I needn't heap my bike into my car but can include the heenward route into my journey.
Anyhow, I'd actually been around here finding caches a month or so back, but at the time lacked a pen to actually sign them - so this sunday it was more a matter of simply sidling over to already located caches and signing them off while no one watched.
You Need a Mint:
I don't understand how this one stays hidden. But, it seems it manages to! I had to avoid a picnicking family as I retrieved it, but I think it has stayed hidden.

#52. Took a morning walk through the hills behind Chapman - found some amazing rock structures. This one took a while to find, and I'm not sure it is in the intended place because it doesn't quite match the hint. TFTC
Coolaman Ridge has been a place I have visited many times before for the caches up the way, and as many times as I have come, there was also so many more up this way. Today with GreyHams we came to tackle them all and a two car set up worked well allowing us to zig zag as needed all the way across to the ones we both had... without the long walk back!
I have always loved the stunning views from this part of Canberra over the ranges and on a beautiful day as it was, it was quite pleasant to be walking along through the area... made for another very nice day out.
Thanks for your cache that helped lead us through the area, all caches targeted found without issue and all in good condition. No doubt we will be back for others as they pop up but it is a lovely area to return to!

I have been kind of putting off Cooleman Ridge for a long time as the geofamily occasionally ask me for a nice nearby caching walk....but then they see the hills and balk at the idea.... so, as of this morning there are 16 hides up their waiting for me.
There clearly a few more coming.... 3 or 4, but never mind, they will keep for the next 6-12 months....maybe I will save them for a family walk.
Today I was out with Aquilus1 again, on a beautiful day. A little windy perhaps but it was just so nice out there.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
We found this almost out in the open.... CO might want to have a look at it.

Found with friend Charlotte S-J, took us longer than it should of, found a dead lizard in the process.
Nice cache! Took us longer than needed to find it. Caching out with caruth. TFTC!
Thank you for the cache. We had a great time searching for it!

Big Thank You to StrangeTrousers for convincing me to espcape the house for some midweek fun caching. Have missed time out exploring and with the views out today it is understandable who. Stunning place to visit. Took along my walking poles for the hills but hardly needed them due to some clever work from my geobuddy with planning the route. It was the perfect day not to cold, the sun was out and caches found.

#6061 5th for today
Perfect mid-week caching weather today so I dragged CBRChic out of hibernation and headed down to Cooleman Ridge. I never get tired of the views over the back towards the Brindabellas from here. I used to live down this way. I've cached here a few times over the years but now there is a bunch of new caches to make a new trip well worth while. We managed to minimise the amount of climbing with a carefully chosen route and no misses today.
Thanks gmhmcrew

We’re not so good at this as it took us ages to find. Not the biggest rock!

Found by the youngest of the family, treetopolis. A great spot and well placed. Tftc.
We were determined to find this one and were triumphant after searching for a few minutes. My daughter also did bush kids.
In these coronavirus times, the activity of geocaching seems to fit the bill, providing ample fresh air and exercise opportunities. Today, I sought a few caches that I had previously missed while doing the five trigs walk around Weston Creek with my son. This cache was a straightforward find, being in an obvious spot on the coordinates. I don’t know how I missed it last time! Thank you gmhmcrew for installing and maintaining this cache.
Lots of hunting around but trust the co-ords. About to give up when we moved an obvious rock and tah-dah!
In these uncertain times it's still legal to exercise, and fortunately geocaching is one of those pastimes that you can still enjoy without being scrutinized. Parked at Darrell place and did a 5.5km loop picking up caches. Small cache amongst big rocks. Tftc
Out and about with Tankengine doing a little exercise and cache maintenance in the area, so we came up to this cache. A nice walk and some great views at GZ. A nice quick find in a container that did indeed match what I was expecting after reading the title. Tftc gmhmcrew!!!
Found with scouts out on geocaching night with the scouts.
Not where I thought it would be but soon found.

Made my way up to the top of the hill and started my search. After a short hunt came up with the goods but not in the initial spot I had searched. TFTC gmhmcrew
A lovely easy 3.1km walk around the ridge to pick up this good series of caches. A cool day with rain in the distance where we could see where the fires have ravaged Mt Tennant. This was a great place with good views so we decided to stop nearby for lunch. TFTC charlotteleclerc.
A quick find this morning after picking up a few other caches in the the area. thanks
I had some time this morning and also needed to find a few caches in the Cooleman Ridge area. Turned it into a loop got on my bike and off I went. TFTC
Decided to head up to the ridge for a quick walk - I needed something calming after a rollercoaster day.
Found in 2 seconds when at 0 on the GPS phone. There were about 10 entries in the log including TE as the FTF. DarkSideDan's log implied there was a throw down cache as the original had gone missing. I certainly signed the original, so figured there were 2 caches or a spurious detail in DSD's log.
I poked around some likely spots for the throw down, but didn't see anything (didn't go too far from GZ though).

Out caching before the rain settles in. Targeting caches that involve some walking wherever possible. Cache soon found. TFTC.

Looked all around the rocks and crevices and didn't find much, then spotted a container but the log book was completely blank. Checking previous logs I see there was a throw-down and the original has been found since, so I kept looking and found the proper cache nearby.
I have removed the throw-down to avoid future confusion.
Thanks,

Thanks,
Canberra is really really quiet this weekend, and the weather is pretty good, but who wood have thought it would hit 31 degrees so soon - we had a Frost only a couple of weeks ago. Anyway, we put the hound in the car and went somewhere a little different for a walk and a couple of caches. And or was hot. And windy. But still good.
The good was bouncing around a bit, and the clue had us circle around a few times but we eventually located it and signed the log, after being savaged buy the BlackBerrys.
Thanks gmhmcrew for placing and maintaining this cache.

Out for a walk with Decrypter. We didn't see any snakes here, but there was one at the last cache. This cache took us a little time to find. TFTC gmhmcrew.
This cache had been muggled. It was missing from its hidding spot. I replaced the cache container and the logbook. I then covered it over with several rocks. The cache is back in its place at the GZ.
I love discovering Geocaches, Trackable items and collecting Pathtags. I have added your cache to my growing list of “Found It” logs. I hope that you enjoy Geocaching as much as I do. For me geocaching is a way of life. When I am not Geocaching, I am thinking of Geocaching. I would like to say a very big than you for placing your geocache and for maintaining it for the Geocaching Community. In 2019, I won the right to place a Virtual 2.0 Cache from Geocaching.com, but I have not placed it yet. I am just trying to find somewhere that is worthy of a Virtual Cache.
Here is a little information about me. I have been geocaching since 2015. At the time of finding this cache I have over 5600 finds plus 340 hides. I am the creator of the “Duck Dip” Lab Cache that won 2nd Place for the Australian Capital Territory in the State Vs State - Battle of the Lab Caches at the OzGeoMuster - The Gong Mega 2019 in Wollongong, Australia.
Now let’s talk Pathtags. Currently I have over 4600 Pathtags in my collection plus about 500 Etagz. I currently have two of my own Pathtags (45762 & 46950) with another one in the works.

I have included with my Found It log an Original and One of a Kind, Geocaching poem that I have written. I hope that everyone who reads it gets some enjoyment out of it.
Geocache Poem by DARKSIDEDAN
My endless search goes on and on
Looking for treasures of every kind
Always chasing just one more find
Putting past DNF’s out of my mind
I step out into the world outside,
Seeking what is hidden from me
What size, shape or form will it be?
Only time will tell, I can’t wait to see
Will I find my prize at the end?
I will search in the failing light and cold
Filling with despair having looked everywhere
Where is this thing that gives my life pleasure?
Looking all around from every angle
I read the logs and check the hint
I curse out loud as I walk in circles
Screaming the bloody thing it not there
As time flies by and I fail to see,
Never once stopping to realize
It always been there before my eyes
No need for sorrow, there’s the Geocache.

I am currently writing very detailed logs because of a challenge provided by Project-GC called "The Author". This Badge challenges geocachers to write logs with an average length of more than one hundred words per log. As of the 14th August 2019 my average Found It log is 125 words per log. I would like to get all my logs up to more than 200 words per log but I will have to wait and see how I go. Currently I am just trying to get my average up by finding and logging as many geocaches as I can. My apologies to anyone who finds my lengthy logs tedious but it is the only way that I can strive to attain the highest level with this challenge. After more than 5,800 geocaches (which includes all cache finds up and including this cache, I am now entertaining the possibility that I might be able to achieve my task very soon. Progress has been better than anticipated.

Snakes, or lizards in there, could hear them... no way I am moving rocks about. Good views standing on top of the rocks though
This was a tricky find but after a long search was found.. had to be replaced slightly to the right under the smaller rock due to a snake hiding in the previous rock.. was not brave enough to put back..
Log book all good and dry. Took a long time to find as I was searching on the other side of the rocks. TFTC.
Not even the minty freshness of the cache guardian will save the log from the rain. Forecast today, rain. TNLNSL TFTC
Chooo ooo [FTF] in a beautiful morning! Some nice views too! There is a minor concern that the logbook will get wet (if it ever rains again) - as mint tins are not watertight... Thanks for the cache Gmhcrew!
Go bushwalking with kids they said, no really a good time on a Friday arvo.
