On a little roadie south from Tauranga to visit my daughter. Lovely stroll around the area today. Many thanks for bringing me here.
Der Spaziergang hier war fantastisch .Unterwegs haben wir 2 Cache 's gefunden .Dieser gehrte dazu. MPLC und schne Gre von uns aus Deutschland .
Having spent the weekend up in Wanganui preparing the family house for sale, it was once again time to make my way back home to Wellington. As usual, I stopped for a few Geocaches along the way (eighteen of them as it happens), and this was one of them.I seem to be spending a lot of time finding Geocaches in the Kapiti region lately, and yet there are always more and more to find. I had been meaning to go for a Geocaching walk in this Estuary area for some time, and today was finally the time. I had some trouble locating this cache as the GPS was bouncing a little, so I relied on the hint. Sadly the current state of nearby cabbage trees is that the one closest to the cache is the best looking one of the bunch, the others are in a much sadder state. Also, I'm not sure if body-shaming a tree is allowed in the current world climate of things... Anyway, eventually the cache was found, safe and well.---Thanks to Flowerydaze for placing and maintaining this cache. I enjoy each and every cache I find, and it is only with Geocachers like this creating them and placing them out in the world that this wonderful game continues.
A nice easy find today while in the area. The dog enjoyed the walk. Cache and log in good shape.TFTC Flowerydaze
School holidays and it was raining, no, pouring! As soon as the weather cleared up we decided to leave the house. Not much time left before dinner so some local caches were needed. Geo-kid and mum had been exploring this area before and nearly finished the AdLab, too so it's a good spot to come back to and get the last few smileys up. This cache was the Last of today and the ramble. All in all a good variety of hides in beautiful nature well worth visiting thanks for showing us this beautiful spot
A few cabbage trees looking a bit sad here - hot day and apparently been a good summer
Central District Girls' Brigade hosted our 4yearly International camp based out of El Rancho. We had 200 girls from 5 different countries. Not all of them tried geocaching. Those that tried it had never done it before and enjoyed it. Some groups found more than others. So the logs have CD Fonomarae and the group name.
Macfam41 found it while out for a walk through the boardwalk with Southridge Laird of Kinlochaline (Lochie). TFTC

With an event up here later it was a no brainer to head up early and enjoy some Sunday sunny morning caching. It was a gorgeous day and there was no real urgency to anything - those are great caching days. I needed two E's in September to finish my spelling challenge for this month so this cache and EnR framed up my play area. I have visited the area previously and collected 1-3, and I am not sure why I left this one behind - I think I ran out of time but that was great as i could enjoy the area again today. TFTC Flowerydaze - all in good condition here once i worked myself out with the hint.
Nearly gave up on this one as we were looking by the wrong sad looking cabbage tree! All good at GZ and TFTC.
It took me longer than it should have to find this one. I definitely overestimated the length of 2m.
Another cracker of a day, so we find ourselves out and about for some school holiday adventures, decided we should grab a cache. Found after a moderate search.
Thanks Flowerydaze!
Thanks Flowerydaze!
GPS had me on the wrong side of this one and the pronounced geotrails made sense in my mind for a little while, expanded the search area slightly and had it in hand soon after. Tftc!
Gosh she's a wee cache. Thankfully, Kimmy+co isn't as heavy footed as I am as she found it by putting her foot ontop of it
Last find of the morning, with a slight detour. I won't call it a sad little tree, it's got a bit of personality - reminds me of something from Dr Seuss . In any case, thanks to the hint I was able to spot a likely object fairly quickly and soon had the cache in hand. Signed (and remembered to write 7/5 first time today!), then replaced. All good here, and TFTC
The sad cabbage tree no looking like the photo. Great find. Very much enjoyed the walk through this area. Thanks very much Flowerydaze for all the caches.
A nice quick find on the trail around the estuary. Last Estuary find today. Thanks for placing your cache.
Ms_KR and I are off on our annual pilgrimage to Auckland to visit family. Heading home and we are travelling from Levin to Wellington. A beautiful day, though a triffle warm at times!
Thanks to all CO's for publishing and maintaining their caches. .

Headng North for my Christmas holidays. Found while collecting lab caches around here.
Where's estuary 2? I found three and here is four, but no two. Turned out I had not zoomed out enough on the map, so I missed it. I must remember to stop by here on the way back from holidays to finish this area off.

My partner and I walk along here all the time, and for some reason I never thought to check for caches along it! Had to change that the moment I realized, so that we did. TFTC, nice to see a familiar name from my time caching 8 or so years ago
Doing a Challenge (see below) - the perfect area to pick up three caches starting with 'E' to complete spelling DECEMBER. Some stunning views on this sunny day - nice to be out in nature. Hadnt been walking on this side of the river before even thou i know the area well. A few muggles about so had to get timing right before fossicking.

Found while in this area doing the adventure lab. Another good hide. Thanks Flowerydaze for the cache
I thought I had an idea of what to look for, so it didn’t take long to find this cache. I’m looking forward to coming back to this area when the weather is a bit better. Thanks for the cache.
Found came back abit later with Pen to sign some I found today. Allgood here, log is filling up. TFTC

Here from Taranaki for the weekend for some cycling and sightseeing. After biking a portion of the expressway a couple of days ago and the last 2 days in the city I suggested we bike to the estuary before dinner to loosen ourselves up for another big bike ride tomorrow. So we jumped on our bikes and cycled the 950m to this cache. I can see this track is going to be fun. TFTC
A fairly quick find of another nicely camouflaged cache, although the cover was detached. We put it back together as best we could. TFTC
I found this one pretty tricky as it was very well hidden! Luckily CO and her accomplice were on hand to assist as we are currently staying with them. A great cache, excellent camo, TFTC!
Lovely day to be out and about. Quite a few windsurfers out in the estuary lagoon today. Great hide although it was upside down and a little obvious so we have put it back the other way. Signed log. Thank you!
We are staying in the area for our 16th wedding anniversary. Weather was so nice we decided to take a walk along here and I took the opportunity to do some caching Wife actually found this one very quickly. Great camo TFTC
Day 60 of my TA adventure...gonna be a hot one...happy new year
Ha finally got one along here ...wearing a big pack isn't the best attire for stealth searching the others so glad to make this a quick find tftc

Decided today would be a good day to head north to get away from the rain. Packed Ezratar in the car along with his new bicycle and drove out to get this series. The traffic heading north was horrific and it took twice as long as it should have to reach Waikanae. The rain came and went throughout the day but luckily we only got a little wet. Ezratar loved this ramble on his bike and struggled to get him back to the car afterwards. All the caches along here were clever hides. Pity the gorse in the area is getting quite prolific. Thanks for the great day out...
This was a tricky one to locate, but at least now I knew what to look for after finding one further up the path. Eventually I found what I was looking for.

the homeward journey took me a little further off the main express way... as it always does! and while in the area located these caches around this wetland area. I had to visit one cache twice as i got back to the car with out my phone.. i had dropped it some where but it was soon found thank goodness and then i took a photo of Kapiti island with the river in the foreground there were even some white baiters and a man swimming in the lagoon which looked very inviting!
thank you for these caches and a reason to stretch my legs on my journey home. i will log the photos later,
I took nothing and left nothing .

Took a little longer to find. But soon saw a familiar item. Log secure and dry. SL TFTC
The last cache for us today as it's time to head home to milk the cows.
Having done a number of these 'estuary' caches today, we had a fair idea of the type of hide to expect, which made this a quick find, with no muggles around to bother us.
Thanks for another great hide and for all the caches you've placed in this area.

Phew! After scrabbling round for a while I expanded my search area and found something interesting. Excellent camo. TFTC
Enjoyed a walk in this neck of the woods this morning and picked up two caches along the way. This was one of them. Took a few minutes to locate. Looked at a log recorded in March and obtained a very useful clue which effectively told us what we were looking for. With that information at our disposal the cache was a relatively quick find. #3438. TFTC.
Thanks Flowerydaze for placing these caches
Today I visited Kapiti to see my Dad and had lunch at the beach... it's such a beautiful day and the estuary walkways beckoned so it was nice to find this well hidden cache

These "Flowerydaze" of springtime are just perfect for Geocaching and with that in mind we decided a bit of an attack on some of Flowerydaze's caches might be the order of the day. So off we set with fully charged phones and a freshly renewed Premium membership.
Over thought this cache a little as the hint isn't quite the same as a couple of the other caches down here so that got me thinking that the hide would be something different also. Add to this the cache size being noted as "other" I started dreading a possible needle in a haystack scenario. So after my initial unsuccessful search I re-checked my phone and went to exactly where it was pointing and sure enough, the cache was right there! TFTC

1.20pm. This took too long but I found it after a few looks in the right place!
Thank you. David.
Thank you. David.
This one took me a wee while to find. If I had looked a bit harder at the spot the phone told me was GZ I would have found it a bit sooner. A very pleasant walk this morning. Cheers and TFTC
Only took a minute to make the find here - the good co-ords really helped as potentially lots of hiding options.

I so very nearly DNFed this. I had a brief stop at #2, didn't find that initially, came here, didn't find this either. Went to #3, found that then suddenly everything made sense. Returned to #2 and found that, came here again and eventually found it but still took me a little while even though it was hidden as I now presumed. I'm not sure what previous Flowerydaze caches I have found but I'm sure they weren't so cunning! Good to find all the caches I came here to find today. TFTC.
Not sure how many times I would have walked past those caches without realising they are there. Nice hiding place, straightforward find. TFTC Flowerydaze
Perseverance was the key for me here; a characteristic I don't often exhibit when I am geocaching. In the process of carrying out two unsuccessful searches for this cache, I tracked down numbers 2 and 3 which inspired me to have another go. As commented previously, the coordinates are very good and this time I managed to strike gold. Although the container was well concealed, I can't believe its presence had eluded me earlier.

Out with Taybe and TaybeNZ when we found this one. As I had a hand in putting these out I let them lead the way which they did. All well here TFTC Flowerdaze.
Had a pleasant stroll along the walkway this morning to find the three new caches along it. Found this one after a few minutes' looking around, fortunately the coordinates were very accurate. Signed log, TFTC
