16 November 2024 12:58 pm Found with Gonefishen07. Quick find on a very windy day here in Tathra. Thanks dghoffy for the cache.
Found with Hearse068 while in the area. Made a quick find at waypoint one lucky we have seen these before. Off to the final which we had as 3 kms away hmmmmm had a second look as some numbers are hard to read. Thats better, off to final, hearse068 made the find. Windy as here today TFTC
We have a memory of searching for cache at WP1 before, but are not sure whether it was this one or one that has been here before! Anyway, we quickly found the required information, punched it into the GPSr and then headed off to GZ. A magnificent place with beautiful views and some whales performing way out in the distance. A great-sized cache too!We had an enjoyable time at Narooma with a few days of lovely weather, but it was once again time to move on as we head slowly for home. It was only a short trip again as we traveled to Pambula Beach, but chose to take the more scenic route along the coast through Bermagui and Tathra. We have traveled his way before, but still enjoyed the scenery on a warm sunny day with little wind.Traveling this way also gave us the opportunity to stop along the way and check out the scenery as well as collecting some caches, a few we have had DNFs on previously.A leisurely traveling day through some lovely country.Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache dghoffy.**SKI Pair****
Found! This cache brought back a lot of memories of the original kenco cache which was one of the the first we tried to find when we started caching circa 2008. We had no idea what we were doing and didn't find it! Thanks for the chance to try again. Great cache.
After spending some time watching the huge stingrays in the bay, we headed over to GZ to see if we could work out the final co-ordinates for this multi. M was the clever fellow that identified what we were looking for. And he was the clever lad that worked out a torch would help with deciphering the numbers! We're giving this one a favorite point because we think it's really rather clever! Thanks for find #6153Took nothing, left [Peace BUG](https://www.geocaching.com/live/log/TL1WRY94X) trackable.
2 April 20241:17pm3878Found where the coronated were but had trouble reading the south. Had a bit of a hunt but no luckMany thanks dghoffy but today was not my day to find Tribute to Kenco!
Out with Tankengine and Dty73 on a tour of the far south coast Dan and I did this one years ago. So very easy to find the Cords. Thank you for replacing this one. Kutgw
Chooo ooo [Found] with youban and dty73! Nice find here on our dat trip down south! Cool multi! Thanks dghoffy!
Down at the coast with Tankeninge, visiting Youban who wanted some help around the house and cache a little further south than we have been lately. We started early this morning and did some hiking, driving and finding. We also visited some interesting places and saw some awesome sites. Highlights of the day, Mt Dromedary, Tathra Wharf Museum and the Cafe, Chamberlain Lookout and Edin - such a lovely place and we saw the Disney Cruise Liner Wonder depart Edin Harbour. This cache: when we arrived we recognised this spot straight away. We did the original and it was my little geodaughter at the time who found it for us. So today it didnt take long to work it out and head to GZ for a quick find and then took lots of photos. What a great spot and clever cache. Thanks for not letting it slip into the forgotten void or archived caches. Tftc!!!
Such a fun Multicache, we used to avoid these however are finding the fun now. TFTC JENPETEH, The H,s , South Africans living in Tassie GeoCaching our way around Australia and loving it
Found WP1 in daylight, but failed at the final. I joined Its_Dozzie at night who had failed at WP1!?!Together we managed to complete the adventure. I had been here earlier watching whales. TFTC.
#12727 20:25I had WP1 in my hand many times, but did not realise it was the waypoint. Wow, how clever! After getting the coords to GZ it was a short drive and rocky walk. The cache was quickly spotted. Nice to see a larger sized container! Have a Favo!TFTC

I dropped by here on Saturday, but failed to locate the information. I contacted the CO who gave me an appropriate hint. Then I walked past here again yesterday while doing the Wharf to Wharf challenge, but couldnt stop, so returned today determined to complete this multi. With the final coords in hand I headed to GZ and soon located the cache. TFTC.

Got stuck on the first waypoint. Found what I thought was the coordinates, but I couldn’t figure out how to format them for the search bar on iPhone maps.
WP1…
Found after a good search and used the hint. Great stage!
WP2…
Looked around for about 20 mins. No luck. We’ll try again next week.

Loved the creativity at wp1. Beautiful view from the gz. The log and contents are very wet and unable to be signed.
Tftc. My sense of smell at stage 1 was in overload from the fish bin. My gag reflex was strong enough.
Great multi, except for the fish waste bin right next to the start coordinates. There were some muggles at GZ, so a stealthy find was made. TFTC
What a clever idea. We enjoyed all 3 visits to find this and have always loved the views from the final location. Thanks for the fun.
This took us three visits. One last trip and twice this time. We had to leave the day before because we were getting funny looks staying the the same place and staring at objects. On our last visit we spotted the very clever hide and went to get the cache. We have always loved this spot abd visit \every time we are in the area. Many thanks for this cache.
Day 8 and my last day in Bermagui before heading home. Goal today was to complete the SST series (Minus my DNF's), majority left are south around Tathra and Bega plus grab any others along the way.
A very unique way to hide coordinates here! Love it. Took a little bit at WP1 eventually worked it out. Very impressed. Onward to GZ to make a quick find. Took a minute to take in the views and was on my way.
Tftc! FP awarded here.

**This Cache**
I honestly had no idea that I had already experienced this multi-cache before in it's previous life! I just saw it on the map with 52% favourite's and decided we would head back home via the connecting road to Bega so we could fit it in!
As soon as I saw WP1 though the memories came flooding back. I think I found this cache in 2016, so 6 years ago! A very long time so not surprised I had forgotten! I immediately remembered it however when I saw it, and how much I enjoyed it the first time I came. I couldn't remember where GZ was however, but once we got to GZ the memories started flooding back once more and I remembered again!
100% I would of given the original cache a favourite point, so this one gets a favourite also! I can't believe the CO archived it, but luckily we have such great local geocachers here to save the best caches, well done for bringing this back. I honestly don't think I have found another identical cache ever again!
This was our last cache of the entire trip, straight back to Canberra from here! What a great way to end it! I will be back for sure..... still never finished the top section of SST and several other caches up in Bermagui!

**Day 3: VB Series**
Today we had the goal of completing the VB series, we had 19 finds in the series today and 2 DNF's. Only 4 DNF's over the entire series which we were pretty happy about
Once completed, DSD had to rush back to Canberra whilst myself and sebass19 had a leisurely afternoon, picking up some more awesome caches in coastal towns! We were keen to get home before dusk however so soon enough we also hit the road back home!
Thanks once again for an amazing weekend away dghoffy! Absolutely fantastic series, easily one of the best in NSW! I'm not a big fan of power trails but this was far from one! Just a cluster of awesome caches, on quiet roads with plenty of parking and lots of creativity and fun to be had!

Day 12 of our 2 week road trip south from Brisbane. After overcoming floods, a bogged car and vehicle electrical issues, we finally reached Canberra to spend a few days with relatives before continuing south for a loop around the Snowy Mountains. From there we headed towards Eden for the run towards home along the coastline.
After spending the night in Tathra, I headed out early to pick up a couple of local caches before we recommenced the journey north. A busy spot here this morning with a number of boaties launching their boats for a day of fishing. I had to time my search of the initial waypoint in between the various launch preparations. I soon spotted something that required further investigation and some tinkering later I had the next destination to visit.
In my pre trip preparation I had identified a likely final location from previous logs. I initially began my search based just on this hunch but after no success in this general area I had to resort to the information from the initial waypoint to zero in. This took me to a spot where the vegetation had been cut back harshly in places and I feared for the safety of the cache. After poking around some more I found the cache tucked away just out of harms way, although the lid had come away from the body of the cache and the contents, including the logbook, were quite saturated. I managed to scrawl my name in the wet log, and replaced the cache, now with its lid, in the same spot for the next finder. TFTC

We have troubles with these.kinds of caches. Found way point one and the info we needed but had no idea what to do with it so gave up. Our last day here.and we realised we hadn't checked out this vantage point. While here we rechecked on phone the cache and realised it matched one of the caches. A hunt around and bingo cache in hand and signed. TFTC Coords noted now to head back to van and try and work out how.to use WP1
Tftc. Had trouble reading one of the coordinates but Mrs Jaybeem used her logic and we took the short drive to the headland. Quick find at GZ. The container is a bit damp.
An innovative way to find the coords at WP1, took us a while before we figured it out. A quick find by the younger GeoTeen at GZ with stunning views. Thanks for the multi - a fav from us!
OCW EverestHigh and CelloQueen. After completing the tricky step towards obtaining the coordinates of GZ, we travelled there and enjoyed the great views. Worth an FP. TFTC dghoffy!
Refound this cache. We first found it on 26/12/16, but forgot to log it. This time we have resigned and logged it. OCW MaxAdventurer and Cello_Queen. TFTC dghoffy
Sly, cunning and sneaky. Have a favorite point. Really creative. I liked GZ and the views as well.
#5815.
We do not always have the best of luck when it comes to multi's, but this one seemed straight forward enough. We enjoyed finding the coords at WP1 and then we took to walk to the final. It took us a while to locate the container, but really appreciated the location. FP awarded. TFTC!

Decided to spend the last weekend of the school holidays out and about on the south coast picking up as many geocaches as we could!
Beautiful day in Tathra and surrounds.
Waypoint 1 had us looking around for a bit and then a careful eye spotted something a little off about something. After playing around a bit we had the coordinates for WP2 (although we may have had one of the points wrong).
Hubby had a suspicion that he knew where GZ would be based off a pic so we altered our coordinates and Lo and behold we had the cache in hand not too long after!
Even spotted some whales and a seal playing from the spot!
Once we work our how to give favourite points, this one will get it!

We really loved this cache! It took some patience to recover the information but once onboard we were off for the find. At GZ recent disruption in the area had me wondering but pretty soon I spotted the cache, per the clue! All in good condition.
I can see why you were taken by the original! Thanks and a favourite!

The double cache has now been removed so should be no confusion now. Only one log to sign
I found the original cache several years ago and loved it then. I loved WP1 then and now - even though I could hardly make out some of the digits. In the end had no trouble finding the cache again! Thanks for putting this cache back on the list dghoffy.
Great hiding spot we were thinking of hiding one here in place one here a few weeks ago and then told us that it was too close to another one so then we figured out that the final location of yours must be here! I love the first waypoint great idea
Third day of my far south coast road trip. A start in Eden today with some numbers in the VB series before slowly working my way north again. Again good quality caches all day, thanks for that. Remember being here years ago for the original multi with no idea, now I did work out wp1! Great idea

I'm an Aussie living in Japan. Today I"m back visiting and staying with family in the area, My Granny used to live in Kalaru and I always enjoyed bushwalking around the area. Today I went bushwalking in the area for the first time in about 30 years so it was very enjoyable to do it. This time with the extra joys of geocaching. I went for a 9 hour walk and this was my 12th cache of the day Even though I only cache with paper maps and no phone or GPS, I was still able to find the bugger, however it was really not easy since this cache popped up after I prepared all my maps and research. I just quickly added to coords to the map and tried from there with no hints. I thought something at stage 1 was a bit fishy but when I looked it didn"t seem like a cache. However on closer observation I found something. Then after finally putting the coords for stage 2 on the map it was only a short distance away but there was nothing there. After a while I gave up and moved on. A few mins later as I was sitting down I realised I made a mistake and corrected my coords. Luck was with me for I was only a few meters away from stage 2. Just then droves of muggles turned up and I had to wait a long time to begin my search. It took about an hour for the whole multi but it felt good to find it. TFTC.
This was our first attempt at a multi cash. Fail! We don’t really understand… Will keep thinking and return.
Found at 12:01 PM GAFF3.
We found the original cache 8 years ago and loved it then, but had trouble finding the final and guess what happened today? We loved the first WPt - even though we could hardly make out one of the digits and then we had trouble finding the cache which we eventually found 13 metres away!
Fantastic views from both WPts.
Thanks dghoffy

I remember doing this cache a very long time ago, a very clever WP1, and a short walk to Gz with fantastic scenery.
Good to see it revitalised, on arriving a {*FTF*} claimed. TFTC
