Second find today on our circuit around memory lane with my brother - we would walk past the entry trail to GZ all the time with our dog and but never cross the creek - it was always our turn back point. Those days seem like another life time ago. Saw a red bellied snake cross the path ahead of us, meandering through without a care in the world. GZ was a cool one and appropriate for the name of the cache and hint in the lyrics. Cool BMX ramp spied after signing log. TFTC

After the GPS jumping around, we finally found a spot to look in. There were two big natural objects and we knew that it had to be one of them. After looking around our other suspicious items, looking at it from another perspective, we were able to find it.

Exciting times over the next couple of weeks as we takeoff for the Capital GeoBash in Canberra! Its going to be a flood of Sandgropers over east, with a host of West Aussies making the trek east for the event. Im travelling with fellow Cockburn Crew members Leg5 and Barnzy12, starting in Sydney and hitting the road to Canberra, before returning back to Sydney. Honourary mention to our fellow member, Cravo10, who couldnt make it after recently introducing a new geocacher to the world the week prior. Once in Canberra, the agenda is set, well team up with a host of Western Australians to conquer caches. Collectively, were hoping to make it the biggest ever weekend for cache finding. Following the event, the journey continues back to Sydney, with a mission to clean up caches and new Local Government Areas (LGAs), ensuring no cache is left unturned in this epic geocaching adventure. Something tells me that well need a holiday after this, well, holiday. All logs have been signed as WAC to save space, abbreviation for Western Australia Crew. Cheers Old Man Emu! Big GrinJoin us in Augusta, in Western Australias South West, for WA Goes Big 2024 (GCAGV8Y) on Friday 20 to Sunday 22 September. Log your will attend now!

The Cockburn Crew are on tour at the Capital Geobash in Canberra - travelling from Perth to Sydney, Canberra, Sydney and finally back to Perth.Today was day 8. We completed a huge number of trails, challenges, whereigos, traditional, multis, earthcaches, labs, virtuals and puzzles. It really was a great day for variety. We enjoyed caching in territory we havent been before. Weve filled our boots with some rare DTs and DTTs and generally had a great time. Thanks to the COs for a great day and event. OK I'm still not going to win any speed or distance competitions, but I can get out & about & do bush walks & stairs I couldn't even have thought about a few months ago. Woohoo! Nice easy find thankfully - I'm not up to much venturing off the path yet. TFTC

Last find of my quick hunt before work today. Loved the walk in this bushland, and the handbuilt walls near GZ. At ground zero, I found the structure quickly for this aptly named cache, and the container was sitting right in the open. Signed the log, waited for a muggle to pass by, and found a more hidden spot for it in this hurricane.

What a great place to unwind on a Friday afternoon after work. We parked on Camelot Court and walked along the creek. You can see the difference between where Bushcare has been working and the Kings School area which is lots weedier. Mr Gaztek spied out a small pad leading to GZ and there we found the cache. We spent a bit of the me examining the situation there and wondered what actually led to this. Those are some big rocks to be fully lifted up by roots. SL TFTC Cheers... Gaztek

After six weeks' with no Geocaching, it was with great pleasure that we could exercise our right to exercise in a nice area with a couple of geocaches to visit.
Parked the car in Talwood Drive, and followed the trail down. This cache was found without any problem, and we then continued along the trail to two other ones to find.

Out late in the day, after a find. Then away to a friend to drop off his tickets to the Women's T20 World Cup tomorrow.

But of course, things never work out the way you expect. Once at GZ of my intended target I couldn't spot anything.

So with the sun setting I headed for another that was close by - and in the bush.
Found that one immediately, thankfully.
###END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION###
Continued on to this one.

Pleasant walk with the sun low in the sky, but still providing plenty of light. Wasn't sure what to expect as some of the CO's bush hides are not the easiest.
But once close to GZ one feature caught my attention. Checking there first.

And there it is!
Made the grab and signed the log directly under **Jackscruff** [?] . No dice to throw, I note.
Replaced, and headed back out to *The Hademobile*.

This was my 2nd stop in the bushland near North Rocks. I parked in Tallwood Drive and followed the track which seemed to wind its way in and out of The Kings School property. Obviously they never use it as the track was quite rough underfoot and with the myriads of ant holes that have probably appeared since the storms a few days ago I had to keep an eye on where I stepped rather than on the bushland.

I've been on some of these tracks along Hunts Creek but not this section. Near GZ it was quite apparant that the storm came through here as there was plenty of water in the creek. I couldn't see any birds around though.
The cache was well out of passing muggle sight but was an easy find.
It was too hot to continue to the others further along but I'll be back and will bring geodog next time.

OCW morty8888 on a lovely Spring day and I'm so glad he came along as I certainly had the blinkers on today. Today's mission was to grab a few of OME's recent offerings.

This was the first for the day and after a lovely bush walk, starting from the trail head off Tallwood Drive, along the way listening to the various birds and frogs and at times the running water we reached GZ where it wasn't long before morty8888 had his hands around the prize.

After SL we continued down the trail heading to the next cache (Natural Beauty).
