What a beautiful spot this is. I wouldnt have even known it was here, if not for this cache and its neighbour which I collected a couple of weeks ago.So many stories have come to rest here, people who have led such fascinating lives. Thanks!
New log book, pencil and zip lock bag plus clean up of cache .All good to find .Good luck .
We were heading to Canberra for our second Mega in as many months, and when you are driving a long way, it is wise to break up your drive to prevent driver fatigue. With this in mind, we stopped quite a bit on the journey to find a good number of caches and endeavoured to get closer to qualifying for more Challenge caches. We will use some relatively generic logs with the sheer number of logs we need to complete after the Mega. We are tired and have insufficient brain power to do much more than that.We would like to thank all the cache owners for placing the caches for us to find, and unless otherwise noted, we found all caches in excellent condition.Thank you, The Farmers 5, for this Traditional cache.
Yass/Canberra trip. Day One My son and I headed off on our annual caching trip. Of late its around 7 days away. I found 13 caches today most were found for a challenge and the other was found for my 20th loop. Yippee All were found and signed. Couple were difficult to find. Day Two9 found today I was picking up a new LGA. In the end I needed to pickup the speed and less caching. The push to Yass was that the office closed at 6pm. All were found and signed. Couple were difficult to find.Day Three. My son and I were up early for day of caching. We headed to Canberra chasing a lot of challenges. I signed 31 challenges today. I will need to find which ones I qualify for. I also found three trads. One of them took awhile to find.I had a good day caching in Canberra. Day FourMy Son stayed at the caravan park today. I had organise to cache with JACS Team today. With a late message from GreenGecko1 about getting help with a very big ladder to do some hard to get to caches. So few of this morning caches Sue001 joined us. Most of the climbs were done by GreenGecko1. The rest of the day JACS team and race up and down the road finding and signing log. I signed 43 challenges and 12 other caches. It was a found day today caching.Day 5, My son and I headed to Canberra again today to sign more challenge caches. In the end it was 31 caches. Then I decided to chase virtual as I couldnt find many in SEQ. I did 10 today. Plus finish with a multi. My son and I had really good fun day. Then we headed back to Yass.Day 6,Today meet with JACS Team. We had a very big list. In the end we signed 103 today. How many can I remember not many. A few tree climb a lot on the ground. We replace a few caches. But of course we didnt have enough caches with us. We had a fun day. Day 7Back to Canberra today for an event and to find a few more caches that were still on my list. After that I headed back to Yass to pack up my tent and start heading home. I had a few on my list to get. We got to Sydney late. I found 34 caches today. The Farmers 5 thank you for placing and maintaining this cache for geocaching community enjoyment.
Just passing and was drawn in by another cemetery cache, they are always very interesting to see.TFTC
Caching around Canberra and district for a few days. TFTC.
I am enjoying this bush cemetery. Great idea. I really like it.

Bit harder than the first one but perseverance and a bit more search of density and the cover was spotted
#704 After finding the first one, the group, or as Injuryman calls is, the dirty dogs, we headed towards this one. Injuryman and Turtle made their way on first and made the find with haste. Signing duties were completed and we were back on our way. Thanks TF5 for bringing us here, it’s definitely highlighted an area I never knew existed
Caching in Queanbeyan at night? Sounds like a job for the 'Dirty Dogs'!
After a stroll out for a night cache decided to come and find a few more. Thanks for the fun!

#2608 Moving on from #1 we navigated our way through the bush to reach GZ here. Injuryman made it all the way in and made the find for the group as we provided lighting. Cheers The Farmers 5.
Goodness this one was a bit challenging! The obvious location was not the hide but we got there eventually.
A warning to look out for bitey ants on the approach. Geo son thought my yelping and slapping was hilarious.

Found out a lion king thingy in it spiky bushes ouch! Anyways tftc! Ava and Karin
Found after a short search although I was looking for a bigger container. Lovely cemetery to explore. Thanks for hiding and maintaining this cache The Farmers 5
Out this way on a solo run and headed into the cemetery to grab a few caches.
Walked up this one's sister cache and started the search. Took a good 10 minuted before the find was made. Wasn't looking for something size, but eventually looked in the right spot and found the cache tucked under its camo. Log signed, cache returned....and I was off to look for Batman.
Thanks again Farmers 5...

The setting is a bit different up this end. But still a restful place.
A few rounds and abouts to locate the well hidden cache. Thanks for the cache.

My geopartner was more adventurous than I was and came through with the goods. Tftc!
Hiked over from Jerrabomberra, it was a beautiful day for it. Found a bench at the GZ to have rest and prepare for the return walk. This is the first time we've been to the Bush Cemetery, thanks for bringing us here. TFTC.
Back today in the area for a service and with some more time on my hands and decent weather I took the time to walk and explore a bit more.
A great place, walked over from the other cache which I loved. This cache is more in bushed along the way and as there are a lot of them it was a bit more tricky to find it, some persistence payed off though. This bit of the cemetery didn't look as nice as the other one.
Thank you The Farmers 5 for putting the cache out and maintaining it.

Shopping with a GeoPartner late morning out Fyshwick way so we decided to drop in on Queanbeyan land for some brisk walking and a cache or two.
GeoPartner absolutely wanted to see this cemetery today so how could I say NO to her? I too had been dying to visit this location and we were not disappointed. Beautiful gardens, in particular we loved the bushland cemetery in which we found most of the caches. Quick and easy find. TFTC The Farmers 5

Quick find with Aussiepuschaks, thank you for taking us out to such a location
Found 26/9/2020 with Silvereyes grandma, but forgot to change out of draft mode when saving. Coords were spot on! Not in the obvious place . TFTC.
After the group assault of the mega tree we headed to Hume for some errands before returning to join Rapidlywild to attack some of the caches that had popped up in and around Jerrabomberra.
After doing another one close by we decided to get for a little walk to collect a couple more in the area. Quick find here, signed and on our way.
Thanks for the hide The Farmers 5

After the group assault on the unfound (now found) cache, the FFLL ladies and myself headed off for some local caches. This area sure has grown quite a bit since my last visit!
What a lovely bushland cemetery! A much better approach in my opinion, all cemeteries should be done like this. Another quick find here, signed and replaced. Off we go towards the next cache Thanks for the placement The Farmers 5

Aquilus1 have been struggling to find places were we both need caches.... especially as she has found bloody everything!!
This morning I had to drop off the geodaughter to her first ever real shift of work.... so exciting, but of course that was going to interupt the mornings schedule, but Aquilus1 was awesome in picking me up, then picking the geodaughter up from a sleepover, then taking her to work.... fantastic.
We then started nearby but with it all being so marshy and snakey (yes, Aquilus1 has the power to levitate!), we decide to stick to easier locations, and just over the border in Queanbeyan provided that in spades.... as well as burgers.
So, thats to all the CO's for todays hides, all found in decent condition.

With GreyHams we set out for a few caches and after a week of rain it was a rather nice day to be out on a sunnier day. An opportunity to be in a slightly different location to start the day led to a slight change in plans, not the location so much but rather, that after stepping on a snake there were a few things to be discovered. 1... I can levitate 2.... I make noises I didn't think I could 3... The idea of being in long grass and with so much water about, going somewhere else had SO much appeal!
So we shifted up and set off to the other side of the border close by, where we found rich caching grounds that we both had many we could find and avoided the swamp and snakes of the mornings first caches.
As always it was a fun and very enjoyable day with a lot of variety in the caches and locations including an event and a FTF. Their was the need of a few TOTTS which is the way caching goes these days, but all accessible so all good! Thanks for your cache that help lead us about and aided in a lovely day.
I have been wanting to come collect these caches for a while now so pleased to get there today, an interesting and pleasant walk through the area.

Cache was very well hidden from prying eyes. Was only uncovered after looking at the same place from several angles.

It is obvious where the old cache was muggled from, in fact I almost thought this was missing! It was only thanks to the last log which mentioned it not being in the "obvious" spot which led me to search further afield and spot the container which is now "small" in size! In great condition though and another good hide in this nice area
Thanks Farmers 5

We’re in Canberra for our daughters birthday and we grabbed some caches along the way.
We have never been to a dedicated bush cemetery, I like the idea. As we passed by a mob of kangaroos, they stood still and our sigh hounds didn’t spot them, which I was surprised.
Nice idea. TFTC

Whilst the first location was serene and peaceful, I found this corner a bit creepier with the two rows of graves laid out as they are. Probably my imagination getting away with me but I was glad for the sunshine all the same. An easy enough find, TNSL then enjoyed the walk back to the car, passing a rather large mob of kangaroos on the way. TFTC
Found it container was open. Have sealed it an protected it a bit from being exposed
A cache found it had gone missing .
A new cache is in place with fresh log book , pencil and swaps .
Please rehide as you found .
Good luck !

Was doing some tidy up and plugged in the GPS for the first time in a bit. I felt there was cache I had found but forgotten to log, and was surprised to find that actually there were several from ages ago! Thankfully not that long ago that I had forgotten the place though. I had gone out for a short walk with Takibi on a lovely afternoon in a quiet and peaceful spot. We found these bush sites interesting and very serene. An absolutely great idea that neither of us had any idea had existed. Thanks for bringing us here.
My last day in Canberra for this trip and since the only thing planned for today was visiting friends plus joining them for lunch and heading home, I decided on getting a few more smileys. For the third time, I headed to starting point of the WIG around the lake to collect ‘The Cyclist’ cache. Starting at 5am meant next to no traffic or heat but it was still hard going but definitely easier than ‘The Manic’ on Friday. This time I had enough time to have a brake at about the ½ mark. No trouble with the cartridge today. Then it was time to head back to where I was staying and pack my bag. I picked up a couple of quick finds on my way to meet up with my friends. After that it was time to head home but with a detour to collect a couple of lone caches around Yass that I hadn’t found yet. TB visit on all caches. I would like to thank all CO’s of the caches I found, for allowing them to bring joy to me and to the rest of the caching community. TFTC’s
A second roomy small sized cache with room for trinkets. I left a plastic, dolls-house wardrobe in this one. Same as the other, cache and log are good. Kangaroos were enjoying the green grass of the the watered cemetery. TFTC The Farmers 5.
Christmas 2019 break day 17. I had a day to spend in Queanbeyan, so I did not target easy ones, just the ones I was near. A short walk in the bush took me to two caches in interesting locations each found without a problem. A great spot for a walk.
Thanks.

Headed down to Captains Flat with fitzy_1965 for a pre-Christmas lunch.
We had an impromptu stay with Smittengranny & TG47. Woke up to a gorgeous view and a lovely breakfast before heading off for the day.
After leaving Captains Flat, we decided to head over to Tidbinbilla for some newer caches out that way. Whilst driving through Queanbeyan, we couldn't go past these.
Quick find here today.

19,787. Found with minniek as we did a drive through of Queanbeyan heading to Tidbinbilla.
After overnighting in Captains Flat we headed to Tidbinbilla for some choice caches. We remembered these two new-ish caches so did the quick stop and walk in for the find. Quite a different style of cemetery. Then after a facilities break we headed off.
Thanks The Farmers 5 !!

Found on a short morning cache run out around Queanbeyan and Googong. It was lovely to stroll through and explore this mysterious section of the cemetery. A quick find at GZ. TFTC TF5!
This one was simpler to find, but lots of ants, so no standing still at this one!
Thanks,
Thanks,
God Bless to peoples... Good walked all the way to find 2 caches... cache safe .. thanks
Knightech and I haven't had our regular caching outing for a couple of weeks, as I've been ill. Today we have decided on an easy day with short walks. Mrs Mister JD is off work and coming with us. We haven't picked a great day for it, it is very hot and humid, and I'm done up in my terrorist clobber to keep the sun off me. I've just had yet another skin cancer chopped off ...
Anyway, we headed off following the GPS through the bush, only to come upon a dirt road, which we followed around to GZ, where a cache was soon in hand. I didn't know this was part of the cemetery. Thanks, TF5.
We also met Binliner here, and had a chat.

Spotted 3 active looking walkers up ahead and wondered if they might be a caching trio. When they suddenly ducked into the undergrowth ,it was soon obvious that they were just that. It was good to meet knightech, Mister JD (and Ms?).
Thanks for bringing us here to the Bushland Cemetery TF5 and TFTC

Out for a couple of caches with the SisterOutlaw today and we have a few minutes left before another engagement. We were able to quickly get these two cemetery caches before we had to go.
The GPSr was much better behaved at this GZ where there was room to get out from the tree cover. I sent the SOL in amongst the Bursaria to retrieve as she had just claimed to quite like the thorny evil bushes
Thanks The Farmers 5

Second place to look, found, signed and returned. Forgot to mention seeing a mob of roos through the cemetery. Tftc.
Found with The Matetrix. An interesting place to visit, especially as the sun was setting. All the solar powered lights were lit around the graves and memorials, almost eerie. Parked the geomobile outside the gates, the sign advising they are closed at sunset. You can walk around them 24/7 though. A quick find at GZ, read a few of the headstones and plaques as we passed through. TNLNSL TFTC
A day's outing with Marmaduke Rothschild and contesta caching in the Queanbeyan area and around the airport. TFTC.
A days outing with Contesta and JohnnyBoyACT around Queanbeyan and the airport area. These two were a late addition to the days listing having come out only shortly after I had made the plans for the day. Saw a few graves on our little sojourn into the bush. TFTC.
