Roadtripping to Hobart and back to Launceston this weekend, we selected a few key geocaches for the trip. We found this one on the way to Hobart.Took a little search around but then we spotted it from the right angle. Lucky minisqwash has little hands to get this container out.Cache was in good condition, Thankyou for placing and maintaining this cache for us to find.
Found with geomum Sqwash on our roadtrip to Hobart and back to Launceston this weekend.Once we finally spotted this one I had to get it out for geomum. almost getting my hand stuck. TFTC
How splendid to be able to drive all the way to this one. Then a nice quick cache on steroids was found. TFTC
What a great hide much easier second time around in daylight Hint : dont try to find in the dark
Took a hot minute and went back through some previous logs. Once we realised the colour, it jumped out at Scoot. Well, almost. Un wedging it from its hiding spot was another story.TFTC
It took a bit a Looking but I finally found it. He doesnt realize the muse. Thanks for the fun!
Tasmania Trip Day 11. My last big day in Tasmania was the journey from Hobart to Launceston. Most of the day was highway driving, but there were two counties to visit before arriving. Even then I still had two more counties to the north and east of Launceston, and that took another three hours, which brought me back to my accommodation juts in time for a fairly late dinner for me. I then had to rearrange my car so stuff was ready for tomorrows boat trip and then it was off to mixed nights sleep with lots of noise from revelers outside the hotel.I was too late for any cherries and had no problems finding my way around to the old bit of road to find the cache. Thanks for the cache Porkchop697746065.2 TNLNVisited: World Traveling Gold GC A#6 & Gold Puzzle Green A#72**Albida**
In Tassie for the next few months. So many great places to visit and so many different caches to find.Out meandering around these roads picking up a few hides along the way. This was one that was found. It was a quick find with hint. Thanks Porkchop6977 for placing the cache and doing the maintenance needed, so we can find this cache.
TFTC nice hidden area. Strangely enough, I did cross a muggle on the dirt road in
Interesting spot. Not sure what the colour refers to at all but the cache was eventually found
Thanks Porkchop6977
Thanks Porkchop6977
What’s the cherry about? Are these trees native cherries - didn’t recognise as such. Luckily the cache is bright…
Cache still nicely in place xtra hint front left and under, Bright green sistema!
Had a second longer look with Geo Maggie today in bitingly cold winds. No luck. This will have to stay a sad Blueface for awhile.
Very cold and windy. Travelling with Angus 88. Dispute both of us searching no luck today
looked all through the rocks, couldn't find it. might come back when it's not snake season

In Tasmania for 2 weeks to attend the Oceania Orienteering Champs. Caching all around for DT combos and counties. Cache easily found. TFTC.

While on the way to Oatlands today for a cache event I stopped in to find this one.
It was easy to get to within a few meters of GZ and then have plenty of parking available on the old road.
Found the cache after a short search.

Thought I had better check on this one still in place thankfully and once again you drive all the way to GZ.
Popped in to check on cache all in place, although with the piles of dirt blocking the access on the road you need to walk about 50m to GZ
Heading up to Devonport for a bit of R&R so stopped along the way to stretch the legs and look for a few caches. Phew! This was a tricky one. Drove right up to GZ but clambered around in the rocks for 15 mins with the GPS taking me on a merry dance … well I wasn’t dancing as the rocks were a bit slippery. Ditched the GPS, took note of the cache notes and followed my nose instead … had a good idea what the clue was referring to and eventually I found the blighter. Thanks Porkchop. A great challenge. So pleased I didn’t let it defeat me and got the cherry in the end!
Finally i have decided to pull in and grab this hide after passing it countless times on trips up north.
It was found after a 5 minute search and the log was signed at 11:00 on Thursday 18 November 2021.
All is good and dry within the cache
(Although i don't mind Cherries i'll take the Cache option today )

Dropped in to search for this one on a road we've driven past many times but never travelled on before. A quick find with good coordinates and a useful hint. Helps when you're looking from just the right angle! TFTC
Final stop on our cache crawl back to Hobart as it’s a bit dark. Found our first trackable!! Which was our goal for today. Partner was complaining about how cold and hard it looked to find but the second it said there’s a trackable, he persevered and found it quick enough!️ TFTC
Took awhile and I felt like I was being watched but eventually found it right before I was about to give up, very hard in the dark.
Visited today to drop off a travel bug so it can continue on its journey.
Hi porkchop6977, thanks for the cache.
Today, I need to drop off KingSmev at Moonah just before 1pm, then a RodRendezvous@Ross to swap freight from his trailer to mine, then back for KingSmev at 5pm.
Well, upon leaving Ross, I'd decided that cleaning up my map around Oatlands, and the Adventure Lab there was the primary aim for the return trip, and then I'd see how much time I had for any further near drive-bys.
But this one got the better of me, so I turned off and drove to GZ where the old road was not quite wide enough to complete a U-turn with the trailer. The whole process took way too long, and in hindsight I should have stuck to plan, which would have probably allowed me to grab a few more of yours later on instead. Oh well, they're there for another time.
Thanks for the adventure - this whole intersection, the old road, and the older road have some tales to tell!
Cheers, EPs

On the old road, used to love going past this corner with the pines so close. Great place for a hide, and great memories for me.
The last few passes here have seen us towing, so not convenient to log this one. But today is the day ! knew in advance where we could get close to GZ and aftere a short search, all was revealed. This spot has been fairly busy lately. TFTC Porkchop6977
This one took a bit of figuring how to get to GZ but we wo9rked it out in the finish . TFTC
Mummy Cox and the girls were lucky to get away to Hobart for 4 nights thanks for the Government for releasing travel vouchers to inject money into the tourist industry after Covid 19.
We had a very long tip as there was a Major accident on the high way that we escaped as it was only 6 cars in front of us. Google told us that the detour was only going to take 33 min that was way out as it took 1.5 hours to get from Ross to Oatlands, so the trip took 5.5 hours from Devonport and I didnt get to stop for caches I had marked along the way.
While in Hobart we didn't do much Caching as it was raining most of the time. But the sun shined on the day we had to head home. With just 10 caches to go to find our 700 we just had to meet this milestone.
On Friday 2nd October just up the road from this cache was a devastating car accident. It was a very windy day and a solar panel came off a caravan and un benowns to the driver at the time it caused a car to swerve and 3 people were killed. Such a devastating event.
I was very happy to make this our 700th find.
Thanks PorkChop for this cache. Found Cache easy, all in good order and dry. Left a TB

Found on a trip to Hobart with Gyrosweeper . Easy find when you get to GZ. Suggest not going straight line if you don't want to climb large rocks. By pass no longer in use
So... There is always competition on when Reperio and I cache together. We found preserved on the wrong side of that rock heap road building spoil. It is s wonder neither of us broke a leech or worse! We should have re- read the cache description instead of going from memory! Still a good find and lots of fun... TFTC
this "drive by" was a quick and easy find . all's good at gz Thank's Porkchop6977
I probable took the hardest way in to this cache. On the way out I was glad it was winter and not mid-summer
It looked really hard and took quite a while but is way easier as it seems. And was a bit bigger then we thought. Must remember to bring a rubbish bag though on next visit.
2nd find for the day while on our way up north. We've driven past this one heaps of times before but have never had the time to stop and search for it. We took the directions to the cache and parked nice and close. When I saw the likely hiding spot I though,"oh dear this could take a while". It was actually a relatively quick find. My geocaching senses seemed to be switched on today. All is good with the cache. TFTC
Should have driven closer for this one. . Once at gz a quick find for number 16 out of 25 for the day.
I’d love a cherry but sadly it’s the wrong time of year. Very happy to settle for a cache though.

Thanks to beetles2 activity log I checked on the cache this morning on the way through. Cache replaced and rehidden and ready to be found again with no moisture. Also of note the Council has dumped a lot of gravel along the back road to GZ. I was able to drive past it ok today but it may pay for you to park and walk around to GZ especially in the wet weather.
We followed the given directions and weren't sure we were heading the right way but after bumping up and over the edges of the stockpiled blue stone we soon came out near GZ.
After a 100 point turn in the motorhome we were heading back towards GZ.
We didn't take long to find the cache container although it was a few metres away from the given GZ. The container lid was cracked and the contents a little damp but the log book was fine in its zip lock bag.
Thanks.

Suscoe stopped by here this afternoon on the way back to our accommodation.
All good here but the cherry stop was closed, oh well we will look forward to next cherry season.
Thanks to Porkchop6977.

Well catching up with logs going all the way back to last year is painful let me tell you!
We drove all the way to GZ and soon had the cache in hand, with 3 of us it was a quick find.
Thanks for the cache.

Joining J+J on an impromptu trip to tick off some specific targets in Tassie, added a few bonus PnGs along the way. Summer, but no sign of cherries so happy with a cache instead.
It seems this cache has a few visits today but there was nobody at GZ when we arrived, although there was a little yellow car parked opposite the gates to Somercotes.
We drove around to GZ, up onto the old bit of highway and with three sets of eyes were soon logging the cache.
We still have a few more to find on the way.
Thanks Porkchop6977

Hello Porkchop6977 thank you for the cache.
I was on my way back from Bicheno.
On the back I stopped off and found one of your caches.
This one took a while to find. After finding it I don't know why as I could see the hide from the car.
