A nice straightforward find here today, a great sign for the town. It's been quite a journey, just to get to King, yes, but the many years of trips and travel in the quest to find every cachable LGA in Australia. So, here we are, on King, our last, all found and now sacada, TikvaNZ and myself are spending our time exploring the island and its caches. The weather hasn't shown its gentle side. Instead, we have had wild wet and windy weather. Apt perhaps, that this journey ends memorable, and gives us a little taste of the roaring 40s and bass straight life. A reminder of the islands history, often tragic, so a little wind and rain as we explored, quite mild in the scheme of so much hardship of the past. So, we carried on, as you can only do and found amusement and fun in the craziness of it all. The second day was much more pleasant, a light drizzle later on, and the wind still but compared to the previous day. Quite nice! Scenic, rugged, and wild coastlines, grassy lush fields, and cows lined up in rows to protect from the weather. Wallabies in numbers so high, just lining the roads, it makes you wonder how many there are we can't see. Wild peacocks, turkeys, and pheasants are often seen as well. With our caching complete early on the second day, a little fun. King island dairy for tastings and a little shopping! Very yummy and great prices, too. The KI brewery was next on our activities, where we had some tastings and a cheese platter to enjoy too.We finished the last day with an event, a celebration to reflect on being the first two to have all cachable LGAs completed, great to share this with milestone with sacada , and great TikvaNZ was there with us. Now the question is, what next? Thanks for your cache!
Off to Tasmania to get Flinders Island LGA and finally the last LGA for AU at King Island. TFTC.Today was less rain but much more wind. Great to experience those roaring forties, on repeat.Managed to finish all the caches on King Island. Nice. Now for some cheese, crackers, a drink or two and an event to celebrate.Nice quick find
#23193 @1210Day 8 of a 9 day trip: Drive from Canberra to Melbourne, then by air to Flinders Island, Launceston, King Island, and back to Melbourne, then drive back home to Canberra. For the King Island part of the trip, I joined Aquilus1 and sacada. This morning was rain free, but still windy. Much more pleasant for caching. Our focus was on the south and west of the island. A quick find here. TFTC.
On a drive with Jomingara we were lucky enough to stop here and grab this cache. A memorable visit!
Found with raindoctor during our quick visit to Grassy.Unlike the other caches we had found on King Island, this happened before our game of golf. Tftc
In a rush to get to dinner before the island closes for the night so glad for a quick find. Tftc
Came out to this area, quick find, left trackable to travel. Stamped log and replaced. Thanks to CO.
Quick, easy find. Our first cache on the island. Had a stop at the look out. Quite interesting history. Also had dinner at the wild harvest restaurant on Saturday night as well. Quite an enjoyable meal. Pick up the travel bug and left one of our path tags for Phlap
Thanks for the lovely drive over to this side of the island. Loved the lookout. Launched my little travel Buggy. Hopefully it gets to see many wondrous places just like this. Tftc
We flew over to King Island with ilookgeo and spent the day doing a combination of tourist things and geocaching. This was one of the caches we found. We took in the welcome here on a rather windy and dismal day. The log was soon signed with two more names and all went back into place before we moved on. Thanks go to gears13 for placing this cache.
Today we were tourists as well as cachers and found this cache while travelling the island with goingplaces2. Log was soon signed, all was replaced. Job done! TFTC.
It’s great to be here in King Island on for this weekend checking out Grassy great spot thanks heaps
The wife and I came to King Island for our 15 year wedding anniversary. Caching was just the ticket to see what the island has to offer. A beautiful spot. TFTC.
MontsII flew over on a light plane from Victoria, eager to explore the island and find some caches. This was his first find on the island. Thanks for placing the cache gears13.
Yesterday arvo we visited Grassy and the penguins and found a couple of caches while here... this was the first of them.

When I parked the rented RhinoMobile adjacent to GZ I had visions of having to search all over the structure but the cache was found surprisingly quickly
Cheers gears13
