Found by Jack on 24 Oct 24. Thanks for placing this. Could do with a new logbook.it was pretty easy to find but hurt my thumb
We were running a little bit early for dinner so we stopped in this suburb to grab two caches. A quick find and onto the next!Thankyou for placing and maintaining these caches, OCW irondale on a windy but sunny and warm Christchurch evening. TFTC
I am in Christchurch for an extra long long weekend. I am staying with friends and they are NOT morning people, so I grabbed the keys and headed out to do some useful stuff while waiting for them to get their act together. When I got here I admit I was expecting a bison, but a quick feel led to somethng better. Yeah, this is worth a favourite! Was a little intregued so after I put the cache back I looked to see if there was a hint. Oh there is. I wonder how many actually need that?Anyway, I loved the hide. Gets a favourite.
Out today in the area to gather some more smiles. Mrs C spent too long looking at wrong thing, Mr C suggested and bingo. Thanks for this cache forestq1.
Our family moved to Christchurch a few months back, and since then we have had the privilege of hosting some of my Wellington Puzzlers group members for caching weekends. This weekend was TwigNZ's turn for a visit. It's fish and chip Friday. An adventure just to get to a F & C shop that it open for some reason, 3rd time lucky! It must be a good chipper as we were told it was a 25min wait. What to do while waiting!! *light bulb moment* Let's go geocaching!TwigNZ did the honours here. Thanks for the cache. Nicely hidden.
I very much love getting to visit the South Island. Until recently it wasn't something I got to do very often, but in the last year I've managed a series of mini-trips for geocaching, and here we are at the start of 2024 with another one. Just like my first SI trip in 2023, I've come to Christchurch to target a few specific caches to help with my Jasmer Grid, and qualification for a few challenges I'm currently working on.This is Day 2, and it's been raining (mostly) all day. I've still managed to get out and find a reasonable number of caches so I'm happy. Tonight I offered to get Fish 'n' Chips for my hosts, and having ordered them we were told we'd have to wait about 25 minutes. Well, that sounds like good caching time right there, so we jumped back into the car and found 3 caches of which this was the first.I had to do a bit of contortionism to retrieve this cache. I'm not as young as I used to be, but I really didn't want to end up with wet feet again lol. But it didn't take me long to find it. No issues to report with this cache, and we soon added our names to the log and then replaced everything as found before heading back to the car again. Thanks for setting this one up.
Heading out today for day 7 of my trip to Christchurch with tmann421.Had fun finding all caches, some were much easier than othersSigned all logs tm/ww NZThanks to cache owners for their effortsReally enjoyed this hide and hint
Down in the Christchurch area with woolwood9. Day 7 - A fine day, although a bit cooler.SL *tm/ww NZ*Thank you for the reason to visit this cache and location Another quick one today.*Good find and hide.*
Tricky to get to GZ at the moment, especially after dark by light of cell phone torch, but I am after numbers for 100 cache challenge in April and it was the first chance I had to get out today. RFTC.
Searched other places before resorting to the nit for where I was thinking it may be. But there are some places I like to know I have to put my hand before I actually do.
didn’t find this one yesterday, and i came back to look again and i still couldn’t find it
YFTC. A perfectly place cache. What a lovey area. Thanks for bringing me here.
On a rather cold windy morning, one last holiday in memory of good old QEII, thought I'd get some in. Here's to Liz, long live Chuck the Third....
Nice and easy. Cheers!

After 7 hours on the road, it was nice to go for a wee walk to gather 3 within close proximity of each other. Nice sneaky one here, thanks.
never like reaching and hoping but i used my photos camera to find the cache before i stuck my hand in there hopelessly.
Tftc a leaf was blocking the view of the container so it took me forever to find it.
I went out this morning to find the two closest caches to where I am staying this weekend. Both within a couple of hundred metres, so it was a nice stroll checking out the neighbourhood and finding these.
I thought I knew where this was so strode confidently there. But I had overshot, so had to backtrack a bit, cross the road, and have a bit of a fossick around. All in the view of a police car parked just up the road. Oh well, looking dodgy is not a crime and I have an alibi. Coords were spot on so once that settled it was a quick find. TFTC forestq1.

Cache not in intended location. Will disable for now before a more extensive search
#20330. I was keen to find a cache today, and the options close to work are limited these days. After a DNF at the nearby Childs Play, it was good to have another unfound cache nearby. A quick find here (nicely hidden). TFTC.
QEF on a Sunday morning - three of us travelling together, so 3 new logs today. Nomuggles around, and weather meant no one got (too) wet. TFTC.
1.4 km from where we are staying so Mrs SoBad and our hostess went for a walk before tea. Home by 5 so before it got dark. 2 spots looked likely - Mrs S went for the most likely and asked her hostess to check the other. Found by the actual cacher.
Thanks.
Thanks.
