Nice hide, and easy find for one kid today! Lid is missing, so that the water can enter. The piece of log is full. We do need to get some spare to leave when needed! Thanks for the cache!
Visited while parked at the beach for a lunch stop. Great view as always but a tad breezy today. No problem with the find however the lid was missing TFTC.
This time Elippa lost to me to finding this one. Ellipa was not happy about it.
Driving from Auckland back to northland I just need to stop from here to there to there and here, yay so many caches new to me And my muggle friends are so very much patient with me, Ill feed them with more wine tonight Found wellTftc
Weather was starting to turn cool & grey by the time i got here. Few people around so made my way to GZ. Checked one spot before finding the right spot. Nicely hidden. TFTC
Smallest cache I have ever found. Thanks. Added an extra sheet of paper to sign on.
Appalled at ourselves for logging so late! just noticed this log waiting patiently to be submitted. We were in the north of the city visiting the daughter and had the geodog in tow. From memory a rather nice day for that time of year. Thanks for the cache, the log book was full when we found it, but I'm sure that been sorted. TFTC!
I came to New Zealand with my wife on honeymoon
It is hard to log all the caches, I found here in New Zealand, so excuse my mass log for caches around Orewa, please
At first i started with caches around Estuary Cycleway, then to Red Beach, Hatfield´s Beach, Millwater and Silverdale. Some of the caches are now disabled as i can see, and some of them were disabled, but were on place.
After consulting with owner I made maintanance on some of disabled and missing caches.
I found many really nice caches...it was awesome, but i think, that some of them (for example Bison caches) have too low D/T combos...but owners are really helpful, so I managed to find each of them. I usually borrowed bike from my brother in law and then in the early morning, or in evening went geocaching. I really liked that routine. So I´m really thankful for all the caches on/near Estuary
I need to write here, that I really like nature in NZ...its a big difference between Europe :/
So – TFTC, guys, and especially The Wonder Stuff for placing and G-2 for placing and hints...and sry for mistakes in my poor English...have a nice day(s) there and u should come to find some caches here in Slovak Republic

M24: nice little find, log was a little wedged in, trying to get it out, had to wait for some muggles to pass by, all in all, log signed and all is good. TFTC.
Nearly forgot to get a cache today to keep our streak going. Today makes day 75. A good find with our daughter frosty1995 after easing a previous log . Cache logbook full. TFTC.
This post office proved to be pretty difficult to get to.
The first attempt, there were muggles parked right next to gz.
We stayed here last night, so when I was woken up early by some loud bang, I figured since I was awake, I'd try and get it before too many muggles were about. When at gz, I heard, and then noticed the power pole across the road crackling/sparking and flames at the top, around the insulators. So, I rushed back to get mr rattll to call the power company. Soon after there was another almighty bang, a bright flash of light and a huge shower of sparks- damn, id just stopped videoing too!
The poor woman in the campervan in front of us had thought it was her campervan exploding and was busy evacuating the dog and various belongings, while also trying to find the source of the problem
With the power company vans backwards and forwards, It took quite some time for the coast to be clear again for a third attempt.
This time the cache was in hand super quick - phew!
Thanks for putting this here. We won't forget this one anytime soon!

It was time for a leg stretch for the kids, so they ran about and had fun while I found this clever wee thing. Cheers
Just another random post that has been converted to a cache. Great idea and very stealthy. TFTC

No worries again with this find, very limited amount of people out and about at near the witching hour, looked at the nearest found cache on the map and see we found that almost to the day 11 years earlier, approaching 4000 finds! It's been a while since we were here!!

on a quick evening trip to go geocaching with flossieteacake. this was a quick cache to find while the geohound played in the sea. TFTC
Down from Whangarei on a caching mission with Team G0LD today to get some numbers in the general Orewa area.
After a successful detour at Warkworth for a trail of 8 FTF's, we carried on and stopped for the ones here in Hatfield's Beach. It didn't take long at GZ for Greg to make the find here. All good.. TFTC

Team G0LD had planned to cache in Orewa today, get 50 caches and clean up that area. Such a nice surprise to see new caches published just out from Warkworth. With no found it logs appearing on our way down we made the short diversion out that way and picked up 8 ftfs as a bonus.
We then collected a couple in Wenderholm and just two in Waiwera to clean up that area for one of the team. Then it was on to Orewa.
This little area is always busy. I pulled in once but due to high muggle volume chicken out of the search. Greg was the one to spot this today. Another neat hide. I'm glad Peggy visited this Post Office and left his trading mark. Thanks for all your caches in this area today

Out with Team Gold this morning (0B80B8 and Liscrew) to collect a few caches to keep our numbers up. The team soon located the cache once we reached GZ. Nice hide. TFTC
After a lovely beach picnic until the shower came through.... then geocaching called.
Another step up Mt Everest.
Another step up Mt Everest.
Travelled up to Auckland for the Mega this weekend and to visit our daughter. Stopped at the dump station opposite here and thought we would then finish with a smiley. Lovely beach for a swim. Cache and log all fine. Thanks G-2
A nice quick find thanks. Pretty quiet at GZ today.
Time for another trip to the North Island for Ms_KR and me. Wellington and beyond here we come. Today we revisited some dnf's from yesterday, and headed out West to see family. Wow it is still pretty hot which I think is unusual..
Thanks to all CO's for publishing and maintaining their caches. Cheers.

On our way home from butterfly creek with kids. Decided to drop in and get a couple of caches here. Pulled up and found GZ quickly. Signed and replaced. TFTC
It was a pleasant day for caching, I had in mind to head to Puhoi to pick up an adventure lab bonus which me and FMZ missed a few weeks ago in our haste to do PWGT caches the day they were all published. So I also made a plan to make a start on the new Natural Wonders of the World souvenir (which officially started 25th Feb). I also wanted to pull in to Orewa and meet up with my work mate Wayne and have a glass of wine and an entrée at the Ship n’ Anchor, then more caching after that.
On my way around the place caching for the Natural Wonders series. Pulled into this lovely beach, quite lovely today, although way past my tolerance for heat. Easily found the local post office but the paper was almost mush, and so my good deed for today was to replace it with waterproof paper. Thanks G for bringing me here.

Nice and easy find along this stretch. Alas the cache at the other end had a BBQ going on so will have to wait, hopefully bison wasn't on the menu! Anyway this Post office dealt with this male real well and the log was signed and cache replaced just as an oblivious Uber pulled alongside.
Another busy weekend with not a huge amount of finds, but 3 nice days out anyway and some new and old places explored. Saturday was supposed to be a trip to Orewa, then off to Puhoi for the first of the PWGT caches and some feta cheese, then back to Orewa for lunch. However the log weekend traffic as spotted from high up above SH1 meant that Puhoi was off the list so we just retraced our steps and had a good feed. A nice walk around part of the Orewa lagoon was all good and Marmalade Island and lake was a treat for mrs c with water-lilies aplenty. Finally part of the day was around trying to get to, and past, 500 finds by a certain regional cache hider, yup achieved that little piggy.

Making our way back home now but still had a bit more time to collect some caches. Next stop Hatfields Beach. It was very busy here even though it is late afternoon. We managed to find ourselves a space to park. As we wondered near to GZ we wondered if we would be able to look for this cache as there were some muggles very nearby but luckily they were just enough out of the way. Made our leaps across and found the local post office.
This is obviously a very popular spot for Sunday breakfast, picnics and fishing. The place was already swarming when we arrived but we managed a close park and were out of the way in the search area. Not the quickest find of the day but it was certainly a satisfying one. TFTC # 16,071
On a geocaching expedition from Nelson. Way back in February Isis58, no.13 and I planned a trip to Auckland for the planned Mega event. When Covid struck and the country went into lockdown we decided to wait and see what happened - - that was less hassle than trying to get refunds on our flights anyway. Well, of course the Mega event was cancelled but luckily for us, flying was an option again by Labour Weekend. We changed some of the details of our trip but decided we would fit in as much caching as we could. We were joined by Mrs SoBad. We visited some amazing places, fitted in some walks, came across lots of people - - lots of traffic too. A huge thank you to the COs for hiding caches which presented us with puzzles to solve, took us to great places, were cleverly camouflaged, were cunningly hidden - - sometimes in plain sight - - all of the above and of course an equal thank you for the ones that just gave us one more smilie. We really really appreciated them all. Thanks !
Mrs SoBad had a suspicion and even touched the cache. Luckily someone else in the group was more alert and both touched it and extracted the log. Duh!! Gets a favourite point from Mrs S for the cameo and her stupidity. Signed as the INSS. Lots of people nearby but no problem to check the area without alerting others.
Thanks.
Thanks.
Seeing as I was up in Orewa, it made sense to drive over to Hatfields beach to see what has happened with the local Post Office. The last time I stopped here was near the end of December, very early in the morning, and there was some bloke who had strung a hammock between his station wagon and one of the larger trees, suspended under a tarpaulin for cover, right beside the GZ to camp overnight. However this afternoon, while the area was busy, everyone was down on the beach so I was able to make a quick visit to post my log without any hindrance, TFTC
Nice find while in the area with tmann421 today
Enjoying the trip and the caches

Nice find with woolwood9 today.
*We enjoyed the drive / walk around the area.*
Stamped logs as tm/ww NZ which may just look like a black smudge on plastic logs!

I was heading back to Auckland and what better way to stretch my legs than stopping for an ice cream. That being done, I also came by here for this relatively new placement. TFTC.
Not sure about the T1.5 rating as a wee leap across the ditch is required but we had no problems with the hide. A very apt cache name
Third find for the evening - smashing out the caches I haven't found in Hatfields yet. A clever title as always - the cache was quickly in hand as my caching accomplice explained to me the alternate uses for this particular container. A beautiful evening to be out. TFTC!
The elder Future Finder and I have finished a walk around Wenderholm Regional Park. A nice sunny day to be out and about. We decided to grab a few more before making for home. We parked up in the shade and while the FF utilised the rubbish bin I made a beeline for the cache. I quick jump over the ditch and a spring up the steep slope and I was at GZ. I had a look around but couldn't spot a T1.5 approach to GZ. Anyway, a quick find was enjoyed here. Cheers for the cache placement!
Kiwiscot had a surf life saving carnival up at Omaha. We had organised to car pool with another family, meeting and parking in Orewa at 06:30. On our return we found that there was a Santa Parade happening and our car was trapped on the parade route. After watching the parade, failing to locate 'the Baltic Sea Anomaly' the roads were finally reopened and we were able to extract our vehicle from the xmas throng.
Still in need of our daily cache we headed on up to Hatfields. Amazing sometimes how many possible hint items you can find in a small area. After searching them all several times and with the possibility of another DNF looming we eventually spotted something that fitted the bill. Maybe wearing sunglasses in the gloom under trees looking for micro containers is not the best idea. All good. TFTC

For the last time, I had some work to do in Silverdale, the came up to Hatfields Beach to visit the Local Post Office. The phone GPS took a little while to settle on the correct location, but then it was the only place it could be! Thanks.
Another fairly quick find for us today.....
Thanks a lot Glyn.....fun trip....now time to look for some lunch.

Watched people backing their boats down the ramp as I waited for supernanny to crossed the ditch
Was very quiet here this morning so could make a quick trip across the ditch and make the find on this one. Always like Hatfields Beach and think it is underrated as a place to stop. Many thanks for another cache.
This came out just as about to leave to go south to Auckland so was passing by and would be rude not to have a quick look. Had trouble with the phone getting a read on the location but did not take too long to have cache in hand. A little more lateral thinking would have had it in hand a little quicker however. Thanks for yet another {FTF} cache G-2!
