Im overseas at present until the end of November. I will attend to this one when I return.
Over a year of comments about wet log and cracked container.Maybe time for some attention.
Walked past some council workers spraying and digging as they do. Found the cache easily but extremely difficult to leave my mark.
This cache is soaked and needs to be replaced. The container is not water tight and has become brittle.
TFTC. Could not log as A) My pen broke when I fell over in the reserve haha and B) the cache was filled with water!
Was not attempting due to absolute giant wasp nest right next to location and I prefer living
Both Willis007 and I had solved the 7 series of caches, so we decided it was time to find them. I had never been to this park before so there were lots of trads for me to find too. Didnt take long to find this cache but the log sheets and plastic bag were quite damp so I put a new logsheet in a new plastic bag which will hopefully keep this cache going longer. Tftc

After an appointment today have come back here to grab a Cache for today.
On arrival checked one spot and found the cache in its hide.
Unfortunately cache container lid is cracked and water had gotten in soaking all contents. Tried to dry contents with my only tissue on me. Need a new log sheet and possible container. Signed as best I could.

Not sure I'm doing these the easiest way....lots of x country...but got there...T4TC:-)
You just have to love a south east Queensland winter, whilst the mornings can be cool the days are often bright and pleasing and a trip over to the south side to find caches is a lovely way to spend a morning.
After finding an appropriate spot to park the geowagon, I walked over to collect the prize. It was soon found, log extracted and signature added before returning safely for the next cacher to find.
Very pleased to be able to turn this cache into a yellow smilie and off of search of my next adventure.
A big thanks to the cache owner for making this cache available to be found.
Cheers

I have become a lazy fat so and so. So in an effort to up my step count, on a slow Sunday morning, I looked to some southside hills for a bit of exercise. After a climb all over the Belmont bushland, I figured it would be rude not to collect the last few caches in the area whilst I was here.
This horse must have broken away from the herd last time I was in the area. All rounded up today. TFTC handshow.

Out and about this morning for some quick Geocaching ️. Found a convenient place to park and a short walk up into the bush and down to cache location. I found the cache out in the open with contents lying around. Signed the log as best as possible and tucked it away. An owner visit might be needed. Tftc
The container will also serve well if you are in need of a drink bit moist in there but the log is dry. TFTC handshow!
Not sure we picked the best path to this one but found it nonetheless. Needs a bit of maintenance. TFTC
TFTC smile 13715 out and about with miss millie geo dog and Hatzofff Imbunda great caches, great day ,good weather, and a lovely walk
Thank you, handshow, for placing this cache for our enjoyment.

Decided to head out and clean up some more green spots in this area with BJA3.
The container is fragile but still functional. Contents are a bit damp but otherwise all good here.

The littlest crew member, Miss 6, was the first to find the cache and Miss 11 found the largest golden orb spider I have ever seen. Lucky she saw it before walking straight into it! We did what we could with the resources on hand to dry items and place a dry log into a ziploc bag. A good easy find on our trek to round up the ponies!
The contents are very wet as the container has degraded and the plastic is friable. If the next to find can bring a container, that would be great. That was the one thing I didn’t have in my kit today.
Caching today
with RoddyC and imbunda picking up nearby smiles in the area.
The cache is full of water. Needs a new cache.

Just a bit of caching on a quiet Boxing Day afternoon.
Did the circuit right around the estate. Take away containers do not make good geocaches - they are nowhere near waterproof.
Log signed and cache replaced as found at 5:06 PM on December 26, 2021. TFTC, handshow

Wow did we take the steep entry to find this horse but it flattened out when we got closer to GZ. I was rounding up these couple of horses with RoddyC and Hatsoff but we missed the last entry to cache and very disappointed to find a cache half full of water, tipped the water out and signed a log that someone had added.
Another horse done and dusted. Reached cache as found. TFTC

Found it! It's very water logged, I tipped out what i could, but this one may need some maintinance
Out and about with geomum from Gordoncrew3. We set of full of enthusiasm, but that quickly evaporated at Mustang. Feeling defeated we moved on to Marwari. This one was an easy find.

Out with Geo mum - geocachealot2014, grabbing some outstanding caches.
After the failed attempt at Mustang we weren’t hopeful. But a quick deviation off track GZ located and cache in hand despite all the residences around us.
Cache was very very waterlogged. Chinese container was all cracked. New log and bag placed in cache and returned to hiding spot.

A short detour off the track to the GZ here. The cache was a little damp but we were able to sign our names in the log. TFTC
A little bit of noise from the nearby residence, but not enough to prevent NurseyJulie and I nipping in here for a quick look around. Watching the GPS count down, I spotted the container about 8m out, so it was a very quick retrieval when I zeroed in. [^]
I poured a little water out of the container, then retrieved the log for business. Names etched and everything returned as found, we carried on up the hill.
Cheers handshow.

Needing a bit of nature therapy after work today so I stopped in here to grab this and a few others in the area. Easy find as promised, the container was a little damp inside but the log was dry tftc
Out for the day with nikid1. We've really enjoyed our stroll around the area collecting puzzles & horses today. Luckily we started early as it's certainly starting to warm up now.

Out caching with Milsyfynnmiester today.
We met at the car park at 6am to try and get them before it got too hot!
I solved all these at home and was telling Mitchie about them as we went - with the goal of trying to get her more interested in puzzles!
I had done some of the trads in here but she hadn’t so we did the whole circuit. According to my app it was a nice 8km walk. The hills were a bit rough in places! we saw a kookaburra, and a wallaby on our trip.
Glad we finished up just before the heat kicked in! Spent just as long enjoying a cafe brekkie as we spent caching, together makes a perfect trip! Lovey little reserve - I forgot about the Adventure Lab in here so I’ll be back TFTCes

After a nice amble up the easement from the road, this was not a difficult find today. Added my name to the log, and departed. TFTC, handshow, and for the info on different breeds of horses.
Last cache after some hiking around Belmont. No pencil unfortunately, but TYFTF!
After finding a nearby oldie for the Oldest and Finest challenge, I decided to continue through the Belmont Bushland to find some of the other caches. Being a visitor here as I don't often get an opportunity to venture across the river, I thought I would make the most of it today.
On arriving at GZ the cache was found quickly. There was a bit of water in the cache bag, I shook as much of it out as I could, and replaced the cache upside down to try and limit the amount of water lingering in there.
Thanks handshow for the cache, I have enjoyed my afternoon exploring the bushland.

This is my first week of 4 weeks holidays and I decided to take my mountain bike for a ride around here. This was my first of 11 found around here today and it was a nice quick find. Thankyou for placing this cache here for us to enjoy
Enjoying the day out walking with E_Smiley and picking up a few caches whilst in this local area.
Like this little horse series, but never heard of this breed before, good hide though.

Cache 17 of 20 today! I was on the southside of town, generally hunting QLD's oldest 100 or oldest 500 caches (with a few slipping into the list because they were so close, or filled in a DT hole).
After a very stressful week of work, it was good to expend some energy, push my lungs a bit harder, and suck in some fresh air. GZ is beautiful, as to be expected, and I really enjoyed the walk and solitude.
The kookaburra kept me company for the walk to GZ, and then promptly laughed at me as I search fruitlessly for a few minutes. Ah, there it is. I was expecting something slightly larger and sturdier, but this will do

After attending an event, geograndson, Richmond Lad and I headed off to find a few caches. With a few solved puzzles in this area, we headed here. After finding a nearby cache, we headed to this one. It was spotted out in the open. After signing the log, we placed it in the obvious spot, covered it with natural cammo, then continued on our way. TFTC
Just a couple more to collect in this reserve. Came down from the top to collect this and felt quite exposed to the back windows of the neighbouring houses in collecting the cache. Regardless, I signed the log and returned. TFTC
Working on my November Challenge.
These caches are close to home and I have spent a fair amount of time resisting the urge to log them earlier.
Cache quickly found, out in the open, placed it in the nearest hiding spot.
Thank you for this cache

Spotted two wallabies at GZ and hung back to watch them for a while.
One was male and the other female. The male chased the female around the clearing for at least five minutes before they took the game up the hill. Moved in and quickly found the cache after the show.

Probably the quick and easiest find of the series. After a short, pleasant stroll on this nice cool morning, I spotted the hide from 50m away. And the muggle and her dog made themselves scarce by the time I reached it. Thanks for the cache
After leaving the last cache I decided to follow the arrow on the GPS. this proved interesting with a number of deep washouts to cross but I managed them by taking my time and with the use of my hiking pole. I then headed up the last climb towards the hide with a bit of exertion which I needed. I arrived at the search area and quickly located the right spot for the cache.
I then took the paved route back to the car.

I really should have parked closer but when I looked at the distance away from me all I was thinking was, if i walk i'll get my daily steps in but I wasnt counting on the incline! It looked modest enough but I was happy to take a break when I finally reached my destination.
Cache was found well tucked away and before long log was signed and cache returned to where found.
** Thanks for the Cache** Handshow
I was happy it was all downhill to my car

Found @ 2.32pm
While I parked the Geo-Beast Mrs VC did a quick drop & roll & took off up the hill leaving me to struggle up, a very poor second place!
By the time I arrived at GZ Mrs VC had completed the job & made our mark on another nice clean log, making a hat-trick for today. LOL ...
