Did all the walking trails yesterday, clocking up 40km by end the of the day (no wonder my body is sore today!!).Beautiful spot - TFTC
On a trip to Hamilton Island with non-geo wife did the mandatory walking trails around the island. Such a beautiful place to explore.Easy find but container may need replacing soon. Log was quite damp and it hadnt rained all week.TFTC
Found this cache at 7.15 after setting off from the hotel at 6.30. Lovely beach - probably the nicest on the island. Cache was exposed so hid better than foundTftc. I have enjoyed Hamilton island - the weather in terms of cloud cover has been similar to Tasmania but the temperature is certainly nicer than Tasmania.
GPS was a little off but used geosenses to find and some help from other logs. What a beautiful spot. Discovered whilst doing the ATV tour.Log was a little wet so unable to sign but proof of find with photo. TFTC
Great part of the world. Didnt bring a pen but have photo proof of find. Gorgeous
Today we hiked to Coral Cove, enjoyed the beach and found the cache .
Thanks for the cache!

While on a holiday here with family and friends from the UK we did this walk and rewarded with a beautiful beach.
Halfway through the hike we encountered a 2m carpet python laid across the path. We summoned up all courage and stepped over it.
The cache was straightforward to find with no snakes thank goodness.

I am staying on Hamilton Island for a couple of days and am making the most of the good weather by getting out on the walking trails and collecting some caches.
The most difficult part about this one was getting past the 2m snake blocking the path.
Once that had been negotiated, we carried on to the beach for a quick find

Walked the trails between the gokarts to SouthEast cape, then back to Catseye beach today, covering nearly 11km for the day and 340m of vertical climbing.
Gorgeous beach here! Accurate coords led to a quick find.
Fav for the pretty location

Great beach after a nice little walk. A little green snake was sunning itself at the GZ, quietly awaited its departure up the tree for an easy find. TFTC
The only one of 3 caches that we tried to get on the ATV tour. What a beautiful spot it is here!
Apart from the high terrain one, which is obviously gone now, (and I was never going to get there anyway) this is the last physical cache left for me on the island. I contemplated it yesterday as I was heading for Middle Head for the AL, but my knees decided it was not on. Today I came at this one on the service road from Palm Valley. Good dirt road that had 600m winding up and 700m winding down. Steep in parts but really the best way to get there. Cache in good condition and I was pleased to find a path tag inside. Fave point for sure.
Found today on a nice afternoon walk, really underestimated the hills around here, nice walk overall and a very nice ending point…

The maps show the track to the cache as a road, we initially wondered whether we could drive our buggy over there, nope.... so we parked at the start of the trail, and trekked up, and up, and up. It was hot and humid of course, but we got to the top, to then descend to the cove.
It was worth the walk, its a great spot, near deserted too.
All signed, we left the pathtag in place..... TFTC!

A nice hike out to a beautiful beach. No one around, so enjoyed the sun almost all to ourselves. TFTC
What a spot! Didn’t have a pen today but a pic to prove it was found! Worth the walk!!! TFTC
Ok, do not listen to people who says it’s an easy hike from the go kart place. It’s actually a gruelling 1.3 km hike. 650m straight up and 650 m straight down a gravel/dirt rocky road. An ATV would be nice. TFTC. Left my personal pathtag for the next cacher.
Geohubby and I are spending a wonderful week on Hamilton Island to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary and spent some time exploring the island and collecting caches.
After hiring a buggy for the day, we set out to find a few of the local caches. And boy did this one give us an adventure!
We parked our buggy near the golf course, believing we were near the most appropriate trail to access Coral Cove. Well, after about an hour of walking predominantly uphill, in the sun, and the heat, in the middle of the day, we clambered over the dusty, dirty, ATV service road to find Coral Cove. On more than one occasion Geohubby asked me if I wanted to quit, to which I would yell out 'I'm not a quitter! I refuse to quit'. Though, I did need to take a couple of rest breaks under the shade of a tree.
Once we finally made it to Coral Cove, we flopped down from exhaustion on the swing, concerned about how we were going to make it back as we were down to 1.5 bottles of water, and we were tired (mostly me!). However, after a short rest, and a paddle in the amazingly clear waters, I felt rejuvinated enough to attempt to locate the cache - NO WAY was I leaving without it after all of that!
After a short search, we located the cache easily, signed the log and replaced it. We also noticed another couple of people walking into a nearby bush - curious as to where they were going, we investigated and were surprised to find an actual real walking track! Though it was still a challenging walk after the one we had already done, there were a lot more 'flat' sections, and it was mostly under the shade. Taking another hour to walk to the end of this trail, we were back near the hotels. Unfortunately......our buggy was on the other side of the island.
So, we continued walking to the hotel where we were staying, where I found comfort in the reception lounge chairs and the powerade they were selling to rehydrate myself. Then, we took the blue bus all the way back to our buggy to bring it back to the hotel.
Overall, a great hike - even though we took the less than ideal path, and my calves were incredibly sore the next day - I am glad we did it!
Thanks for bringing us here!

Wow did not think I was going to be hiking like I just did on my holiday to find this cache with Geokirky. I would recommend that you take plenty of water and maybe a first aid kit just in case (or a 4wd). Once I got the coordinates right it was an easy find.
Not sure if its still here... a lot of debris and clearly been excavated to clean up the cove from some big storms.
Found on a hike to explore the beach. For the person who left the Pichu figure, we took it because it's my sister's favourite pokemon, and she thanks you very much for it. However, we didn't have anything to give back on us, so we will pass on an item to another cache. TFTC
Came here to keep the day streak going. Decided to take the short route via maintenance track. Still a big uphill ahead of us to get back. Awesome location.
What a beautiful little swing to pass the time. There were a few possible spots for this one, so just worked through them one by one. The ceramic frog’s head was a good decoy. Felt like some coconut water but the ones seemed a bit old . Ps for the non-hikers, this one is accessible by atv but the hike is amazing way to work off the cocktails.
Enjoying a lovely picnic at coral cove. For much of the morning we’ve had the place to ourselves.
A nice easy find.
Thanks
A nice easy find.
Thanks
Nice easy find with Strobez after jetskiing around the island to find the beach caches. TFTC!
Nice easy find while the kids were swinging. Thought I had logged it while there but realised the next day it hadn’t logged. Tftc
Set out for a picnic and walked all around the coast from Escape Beach at low tide. Cooked ourselves a well deserved sausage sanga at the picnic table under tree next to the swing then checked this one off before hiking out the trail with nenosinmud.
