Tried on the way in with no luck. 7/9 finds isn't bad so we've given up on this one for today. DNF
We couldnt find this one on our way out, so looked again coming back. This time the co ordinates put us in a slightly different spot. still had a bit of a search, but spotted the hide as I was heading back to the path. Blimey that was well tucked in. TFTC
Seeing that the rain hasn't started yet this morning I decided to walk to the Coal Creek Falls locating and signing off the caches on the way.I had a look on the way in but couldn't find it but found something belonging to DOC but it wasn't the cache. So hand another hunt on the way back out after using my PAF card. Oh, there it is at the stump.Cheers for the cache, holymu.
Stumped a good hide done the 3 here in reverse some nice finds along the walk
We were here last easter but was getting late in the afternoon and raining so we skipped. Today conditions where great.
One part of the track I wouldn't want to fall off.

Found on the way back from Coal Creek Falls. It took a few minutes of searching. All is well with the cache. TFTC
This took a little hunting, but the GZ is quite distinctive. A Fav Point for the location. Thanks for placing your cache.
Ms_KR and I went for a wee drive over to the Coast for a long not weekend, Sunday to Wednesday We had another great day with with mostly dry weather in the moning and sometimes heavy rain in the in the afternoon. There was also a surprise FTF thanks to Gracie7+mum..Yipee.
Thanks to all CO's for publishing and maintaining their caches. Cheers.

Spending the winter woofing, tramping and exploring the west coast caching along the way ..of course..
Spending the next wee while based in punakaiki as I landed a bit of work..
Out for a morning drive and supply run to town with a few short walks thrown in..
Quick find after reading a couple of logs.

Think I’ve found this before but no smile so signed again. Had to grab this after a night in Greymouth and before heading down the Coast. Tftc
Had a nice walk to these beautiful falls. The track is nice and easy, surrounded by native bush. Even spotted a fish in the stream. We Replaced log on this one. Although we should have cut it in half to put in the other cache that had a full log. An interesting feature. Thanks for placing this cache.
Full log unusual shape tree ..needs some tlc ..sorry no replacement logs with methanks DoC
Amazing branch structure here, how did it get like that. The log is overfull. Unfortunately we have run out of replacement log paper on our travels. Thanks for bringing us here holymu
I went for an evening stroll to the waterfall. A pleasant walk I thoroughly enjoyed. No issues here. TFTC
We had done everything we had come to Greymouth to do on this trip and we wanted to find just a couple more caches for todays date.
We looked around at the options and noticed that there were caches along this track. My initial thought was here were more caches that I had forgotten to log, as we both remember walking along this track about three or four years ago. So I sheepishly asked GK if he wanted to go and 'refind' and 'resign' the caches along this track.
Being the superstar he is, he agreed, so we headed out to the start of the track. On the way I was fiddling with the settings on my phone and soon realised that I had in fact logged the last trip and that these are new caches placed since we were last here (that made me feel a tad better).
There were a couple of other cars in the carpark area so we hoped we might get to meet some other geocachers, but that was not to be.
This was a quick easy find, especially as it was exposed, and had no camo around or on top of it, even though there was some close by (maybe weka? had been wanting to join in on our hobby).
We had a photo shoot here last time, and can't help but wonder how many people walk past here and do not spot this/
The log was soon signed and returned with the camo in place. Thanks for placing this cache and thank you for the smiley.

Another one found! Lots of caches on this walk which have been so enjoyed with friends ️
This took a bit to find but I eventually got there. It's actually quite a cool feature and I have never seen one like this before. A lovely day to head out on a run and do some geocaching. TFTC
Found with NZDi. We are staying at Carters Beach Holiday Camp as a base for a few days geocaching on the Wet Coast. Todays plan is to head to Greymouth picking up as many roadside PnGs as we can, with a few more interesting excursions thrown into the mix.
This is our twenty-seventh cache of the day and was one of the interesting excursions mentioned above. It took a few minutes to find. Eventually I found it a few metres back along the track from where c:geo was indicating, but well within the expected margin of error given the bush cover.

Found on our South Island roadtrip. Took a while to locate but after a desper search. Aha. There you are. TFTC.
Nice to be away on another geocaching trip with tmann421, travelling to a few places in the upper South Island.

Thanks for putting out this cache for woolwood9 and I to find!
SL **tm/ww NZ** (may just be a black smudge on the many wet or plastic logs)
Weather today was unsettled with rain at times.
*Great walkway to the falls, we soon had another good cache located!*

Loop de loop Caching with Sidewaze. - working at catching up with my draft logs. I enjoyed finding your cache. TFTC
Visiting the coast with non-cachers I identified this track as one which would be scenic, involve about the right level of exertion and as a bonus would have three caches on it for us addicts in the party. It was a bit of a yes, no, maybe sort of a day, but as happened to us on several occasions this weekend, the showers stopped just as we reached the parking area and off we went. I spent a little time searching for this one, then someone reminded me that maybe I should look for the feature, then the cache - - - some details are more easily remembered than others. After that we were soon signing the log. Thanks for the cache .
I think I've been here before. However it took a bit of to-ing and fro-ing but persistence gave success. TFTC
After a night in Reefton - and a big walk there on the hills.... it was time to head to the coast.
I stopped in Greymouth for food and decided not to stay - but to travel further northward.
I spied this track on the map - was hoping for peace and quiet though - sadly no...very popular track on a beautiful sat afternoon.
Had to grab this one on the way back... quite a lot of walkers here today - so stealth was definitely required.

Found with StreetWalkerNZ on our last day of our Queens Birthday weekend in Greymouth. This morning was not as chilly as yesterday, so after an early morning's walk up Kings track, we had coffee then set out to Runanga and Coal Creek.
Usually it is my Oregon that struggles under tree cover, but when it was showing GZ was close by, SW's was saying still many metres to go. So we carried on, until it changed its mind. So backtracked and soon found the cache at the obvious landmark. That's an interestingly shaped tree! TFTC.

#18211. My GPSr struggled most of the way along the track. Troodles made the find here after backtracking a bit. TFTC.
It's Queen's Birthday weekend and we are at level 2 so geocaching is permitted. Traveling is also permitted. So, we traveled to Greymouth in our camper. After lunch at the carpark we walked this Coal Creek Walk. What a bonus there are geocaches. Actually that's how I discovered that there was a walk. I started with a dnf. Thanks holymu for creating this hide. It was find 8523 for me.

Due to NZ being at Alert level 4 and some people insisting on continuing to geocache and put others at risk I am disabling my caches until such time as it's safe to resume this activity.
Any logs I receive for finds during this time will be deleted. I don't care anymore about YOUR safety than you obviously do but I do care very much about others and want them to be safe so please do NOT look for any of my caches while they are disabled.
In the meantime, there's always plenty of puzzles to be solved or created but above all PLEASE STAY SAFE EVERYONE!

Wow what a gorgeous tree it is well worth coming on this track just to see this tree and getting the cache plus other ones .Tttc
I started my great and unique round trip over the South Island in Christchurch.
My first major stopover was at Lake Tapeko - here I hiked up to Observation Mountain.
I then planned two days in Mount Cook NP with some unforgettable hikes. My big goal was the Mueller Hut - on a super strenuous hike I reached it.
I continued my journey over the lonely Danseys Pass to Dunedin.
Afterwards I drove along the Southern Scienic Route via Invercargill to Manapouri for some days. On this route I visited many sights and enjoyed the beautiful nature again and again.
I already booked a tour to the Doubtful Sound in advance - another highlight on my tour.
Afterwards I drove on to Queensown and Wanaka. From there I continued over the Haast Pass to the lonely Jackson Bay with storm and heavy rain. Afterwards I drove along the west coast always in pouring rain.
The rain stopped the whole west coast, but I had good rainwear with me. Only high up in Nelson the sun shone again.
Soon I reached the east coast again in Picton and Blenheim and the sun was shining again.
After a few days I travelled back to Christchurch via the beautiful town of Kaikoura.
At the end of my round trip I spent a few more days in Christchurch and its surroundings.
I visited many geological sites and found many caches on my round trip. In Rangiora I visited an event.
I travelled 3418 km and take home a lot of positive experiences.
Thanks to many beautiful caches I was also shown unique locations, historical sites and geological features.
I am overwhelmed by the fantastic and ever changing nature on the South Island of New Zealand - I will definitely come back.
Many thanks to all owners

Found on a great long weekend down the coast. TFTC. Submitted via Garmin Live Geocaching
Had a great day travling from the West Coast back to Oamaru, 3 days of great weather, many thanks for the caches. - Bitsprayer
Found on a three day caching journey over to the West Coast. We really enjoyed the challenging hours spent in solving the many puzzle caches and now the signing off on the log books. We had a great spell of weather as we traveled along the many roads in the area. Many thanks to the various cache owners for placing and maintaining their caches. TFTC
Good to see this one back up and running and with a responsible C O it will last a bit longer I suspect. T F T C holymu
Have walked this track a few times over the last few years and with 4 unfound caches up for grabs there was another visit today. We headed to the falls and back and then it was lunch and off towards Pancake Rocks.
Day 3 of our West Coast adventure and it's go home day. But not straight home though. Back via Brunner Mines and Runaga Falls/Coal Creek and Pancake Rocks and maybe Westport/Denniston and maybe soemwhere else. In fact as we got past Charleston it was straight along the Buller gorge and back that way which was just as well otherwise there would have been a whole lot of extra kms, there were enough already.
A weekend away has been discussed for a while now, and me and mrs c both had the Monday off so a 3 day trip over to West Coast was the plan. We were fully hopeful of getting down to see the glaciers at Fox and Franz Joseph and were staying in Hokitika for a couple of nights. Plenty of kms driven and a few caches found, incl a virtual and 5 Earthcaches. Good weather all round, no sandfly bites (I know!!) and plenty of awesome sites and sights.

A few places the cache could have been! Luckily I managed to locate it eventually! TFTC!!
A nice short walk to a some waterfalls. I forgot a pen (again)! So grabbed this one after getting back to the car. The coords had me in the wrong place at first but I tried again and had more success. What a tree! Totally missed it on the way in before. And on the way back found a toadstool! Tftc holymu
Found this on our second attempt. Thanks for replacing it with a new one. Definitely look under. And in you need to walk into the bush a metre or so.
After coming back a couple of times, we found the replacement. Great find
We found the hiding place. But we found no cache. Maybe the owner makes a look?
No obvious hide place but parted bushes where gps indicated. Found what may be a DoC monitoring device... no time to search longer so moved on. Those weird DoC caches with a commercial competition tie-up were a problem - left a bit of a bad taste in many areas.
