Found it , after one wrong turn and an extra lap around the smaller lake, soon I was on the correct trail. A little search and the well covered cache was found. Tftc

Thanks for my first find! Starting a new tradition with our toddler she was delighted
Thank you for nice cache, it was very adventurous for littlen3yo to walk through the forest..
Taking advantage of the beautiful sunshine with a walk around Jells Park lake. We saw no evidence of a horizontal branch but found it anyway! TFTC
Found with a couple of friends on a sunny afternoon. Unfortunately my mate wrote the date incorrectly. The cache was off coords by approximately 3 metres, but a good hide nonetheless. TFTC
The foliage almost looked like smoke in todays light. A trackable left - thank you!
Needing a walk but having had enough of going west given the extra traffic due to the closure of part of St. Kilda Rd. Had me travel east. More particularly Jells Park. I love Jells Park. I can't get over it's at the literal end of Waverley Road. I also have a soft spot for Waverley Road given it's straight length and very respectable traffic flow. Back to Jells Park and the extolling of its benefits. I appreciate its size, variety of landscapes and blend of both established services (paved paths, central cafe with toilets, easy parking) combined with the sheer amount of vegetation and numerous paths. So I thought I'd string together three unfound trad caches with the one over FTG and maybe a couple on the Eastlink bike trail. Unfortunately I ran out of time and didn't reach the furthest Eastlink caches but I got all the exercise I needed and found 3 out of 4 caches attempted. Many thanks to jupiterpearl for putting these out.My logs will include this standard blurb and then a comment or two about each cache separated from this blurb by a dividing line. ---A nemesis cache for me. I remember wandering around for quite some time on my last (and thankfully only) attempt. Arriving at what I thought was GZ, I glanced at my GPSr which seemed to indicate the other side of the fence as true GZ so off I went, reversing my path and going back into the stand on the other side of the fence. After fruitlessly searching I took another look at my GPSr and well, it seemed to indicate I needed to be on the original side of the fence. Tediously retracing my path I took my time in judging whether my GPSr had actually settled and I could start a proper search. Finally, it seemed to indicate a likely spot and I took a look around, trying to match the vegetation with the hint. Well, two likely looking candidates proved incorrect. I then read the cache page again and noticed something. I shifted my search area and then found an indicator that I was in the right area. I turned around and spied the merest hint of plastic. Ah! Finally! I will never have to search this particular stand of trees again.
Lol, I really had to follow the instructions to find this cache after starting the search on the wrong side ... eventually, I spied the tiniest bit of cache through the camouflage. Indeed a nice little spot for a hide.
Out for a big ride this afternoon so what better than scooping up some caches at same time, whilst taking my mind off my tired legs! This was relatively quick in and out, with loads of muggles wandering past, snooping about!! Took a little while to locate but got there in the end - all in good condition. TFTC
Catching up with an interstate friend and walking my dogs in Jells Park today, found myself in the vicinity of this cache. Handed dog leads to friend and went to find. Found the cache in the open with no camouflage. Signed the log and added appropriate camouflage. All in good order within. TFTC
Heading across town to mind a cat over Easter... and took some time out along the way to chase out some caches in the less familiar (caching) territory of Monash LGA... all for a rather big challenge that I am working on. This was the third stop in a wander around part of Jells Park. A not-so-easy find but I managed it in the end...Thanks **jupiterpearl** for this cache.
Love this mini pine forest! The hint had me wandering round in circles, but after checking a previous log photo, I was able to narrow down the search area and quickly had log in hand.
7 for 7 today as I came to Jells Park to finish an adventure lab. Quick find here.
Really nice area for a bike ride and a cache to finish it off, I wondered if the area floods, as the poor old cache is bound to flaot away, being so close to the water level, but it still sits there in its comfy little nest, thx for bringing us here today.
Found at 13:44Out for a walk and a few caches this afternoon with the first stop here. It took a minute for the good to settle and I could make the find. Thanks jupiterpearl for the cache
TwoEms found the perfect picnic spot nearby, but this trail was something else. A blanket of soft pine needles lay underfoot, while the cool dark wood cloaked us from the main path. The atmosphere was beguiling; the gps was fluctuating; the hint lead us quite astray. We read the description twice, and twice it told us what it was close to. Ignoring the hint, this was suffice to find the right spot, but not the right spot for a picnic. Thank you for the cacheand a lovely hideout.
Took way too long to find ! But I stuck at it as I knew I wasnt far off. Went to pics for a extra hint
Took way longer than it should due to overthinking the Hint. Beautiful little hideaway here. TFTC
Couple of Finnish vanlifers traveling around this beautiful Australia with Matilda the campervan. Stopping here and there to enjoy life without any plans. After getting everything set up and visiting some friends, Mntti1 and I began our travels few weeks ago. It was getting dark once we got here. No luck this time...
With dot558 on our first smile for 2024Took a while but as about to give up, you always do one last look and it surfacedCache damp but otherwise okThanks for the challenge
17:36The Christmas purchase I was sent to collect might not have been in stock, but I got to take a walk in Jells Park.Dunno what the people behind me thought when I ducked into the scrub, but I was well out of sight for the search which, thankfully, didn't take long. Thanks, jupiterpearl.#8061
Found it, thanks for the cache. 5m off the pinpoint. On the left side of the fence facing the river under one of the trees on the left.
GPS was drifting heaps! Couldnt tell which area the hint was referring to, because the GPS was drifting so much
Fixing my own cache on a sunny public holiday Friday. Decided to walk in around the lake with heaps of people about. Try to find this one again. This time a bit of a stop and think and I had it in about 5 mins. Hint is still accurate and cache in good condition. Easy to sign and replace as no one comes in here. Thanks Ibis make a racket though!
Dad and I looked and looked on both sides of the fence. The last finder had done a great job of concealing this one! I looked up a previous log that had a photo and not long after that narrowed down the spot and revealed the cache. Really enjoyed the lovely Spring walk today. The park was really popular. Will have to come back for the multis. Didn't want to push my luck with a non-caching parent.Thank you jupiterpearl for the cache.
Thanks, nice little spot.
Took a long time to find due to the needles.
Almost gave up

Had the entire morning to myself and I started looking at the geocaching map to work out where I wanted to go. Then I remembered that I needed an old geocache in the Jells Park area. Lots of Multicaches too, which I'm trying to collect more of. Only problem with doing all the Multicaches at the same time is trying to organise the order to minimise the walking distance required.
Took too long to find this one as my GPSr just couldn't decide where it wanted to send me. But after checking every spot available, I found it. Very wet inside, tipped the water out, but not really going to help.
Thanks for the cache Jupiter Pearl

In Melbourne to drop one son at the airport and help mow the lawn at my others sons accommodation. Only 6 minutes from Jells Park so will pick up a couple there today. Only just found them before it started to rain.
Nice hide, cache found and still damp inside. Logged and returned.
Thanks for the cache jupiterpearl

Another nice hide. However the container is wet inside. Not sure if it's rain or an overflowing lake. TFTC
Tftc. The log and cache are wet. Great little spot though. Enjoyed the surroundings.
Hurrah! Hunting Multi caches and was within cooee of this container, so I did a couple of laps around the trees while I searched … eventually found the hint and the cache at same time.
Container and log are a little
Wet but still able to make my mark. Tftc

Found it but confused because cache was 10 meters off coordinates but we replaced zip lock bag
I must admit this has been somewhat of a nemesis cache for me, two visits, the second of which being a very long two person hunt in the dark, but no luck.
It seems it was the dreaded cache creep that was the problem, this time it was a nice quick find after grabbing the newly published rejuvenation replacement cache. Log signed and replaced as found.
Happy to report that the cache is in good condition and the logbook nice and dry.

Did a maintenance run today. This cache has had creep. Replaced in original spot. Hint now makes sense. In play
Had to resort to past logged photos for clues because this turned out to be trickier than estimated! Geohusband found it, signed and placed back. Cache us about 6 meters off course though... cache creep?
Anyway nice to hear the birds.

TFTC. We have tried a couple of time to find this one. Staying with my daughter in Wheelers Hill had the opportunity to swing passed here on the way back to the car after finding the multi. Persisted and this time success.
Couldn’t find but only had a couple minutes so I’ll give it a proper search another time.
Needing a Multi today for a personal challenge we headed off to this park to try our luck as well as get some post surgery exercise.
We were continuing our walk around the very pleasant lake watching the may birds a we went.
We were talking too much and missed the side track so had to go back a bit but were soon on our way to GZ. This one took us the longest to locate as we were using phones in overcast weather and tree cover. But we did get there with only 6m difference so all good in the end.
After adding our name to the log we replaced everything as it was and headed back to the main track.
Once more our thanks jupiterpearl for a very enjoyable walk around the lake and some nice hides.

Lovely spot. Cache 8m from position shown on iphone gps. Signs of muggle activity beside cache. Lovely in hot sun.
Spent so long searching the area, only to discover it was hiding at the very first place we suspected! Cool little spot, thanks jupiterspearl!

This was our last today as we were cycling around. Walked in off the path and we followed the gps reading , but this gave us more trouble as it just wasn't settling under the tree cover. Back on the path to get some more direction. After a good 20 mins and with the hint in mind we used some geo sense logic. Eventually I spotted a likely target. Over we went and then the cache was finally discovered out of sight.
Cache is in good order. Log signed and all back safe as found.
Thanks for your caches in this lovely park,

Catching up with Rebel Acts for a few hours and hopefully some smiles on the map.
Weather was starting to cold and wet , so happy for a fast find.
Cheers for the cache.

Just a couple of hours out caching today as I slowly get back on my feet after surgery, we were keen to do a few of the new side tracked caches and a few Multi's we had not done in the area.
This is one of the caches found today. I am never keen on wondering down some of these tracks in this area, first thing we see as we get out the car was a used condom, thankfully we had a quick find here.
Thanks jupiterpearl for the cache.

Harder than i first thought. Spent 10 mins looking for this. Had to find the tree first (checked photos from activity log)- spend a good 5 mins looking around the tree. Then I realised that it's buried under the nettle that is by the tree.
Checked today. In place and dry. Replaced pencil misty morning with lots of bird activity.
The hint made sense after I found it! A photo from a previous finder was quit helpful. Thank you jupiterpearl for placing and maintaining JELLS PARK PICNIC for us to find today.

It seemed like it had been ages since we had been out caching so we decided to head over to Jells Park to enjoy the last breath of summer. It was fairly busy however it was great to see so many people out and about.
This one took a bit of hunting as the GPSr would not settle. Eventually I found the cache. TNLN. TFTC.

A last moment trip to town after a period of non travel. Given the day we tried to get a minimum of two of a number of cache types. A nice walk around the lake and some good hides which took a little to find but we did. We completed the signing duties and re hid. TFTC
Went for a stroll here as GT37 needed a cache today and we had to drive right past. The walk was nice but as suggested, it did take quite a while for the GPS to settle. Once it did, we made the find and were on our way. Thanks for the cache.
This was my cache for today. We had to go to Mt Waverley so went past here to do so. It was a lovely day for a stroll and after my phone and Papi's GPS eventually settled, we made the find. Thanks for the cache and bringing us here.
With the new year upon us (and a public holiday to be appropriately made use of), buhfuhguh and I made an impromptu trip to kick off a year of caching in an area ranging all the way from Scoresby to Officer.
There were plenty of finds with lots of walking to accompany them, though plenty of fun was had as always, notwithstanding the fact that I foolishly didn't apply sunscreen and ended up with a less-than-pleasant sunburn afterwards!
I was a little hesitant coming into this traditional, as there were plenty of hiding spots and even more pine needles (with whom I do not have a fantastic working relationship).
Luckily, we took only a short walk from the trail and I managed to spy the hide without much hassle at all!
Thanks to jupiterpearl for placing this one here!

Another day out and about with Brainiac03 today as we go out for a very impromptu and sporadic day out caching with no real plan or guide to tell us where we are going. Just picking caches that we're nearby or interesting to keep up going. With roughly 24 found including a couple fun multis we were happy with today's work with no DNF's. A nice cool day after some swelters all in all had fun, Thanks for the cache and the little adventure

What a lovely lake, we sure have been enjoying our time up in Melbourne. It was a relief to take shelter among these trees as the hot afternoon sun shone down on us. Thanks to some searching through the past logs we were able to track the cache down in such a large area. TFTC
