No luck finding this one. No container in the obvious spot. Though there is a monster hole in the road which looks big enough to hold a cache container!

Found Ok

Today's long drive back to work I decided to take the inland way which means a big detour but many caches on the way, less roadworks and trucks.

The cache could be located easily and is in good condition.

Thanks.,

We do enjoy driving these country roads out here finding the caches along the way and want to thank the CO’s for placing all the hidden treasures. This is one we found today. Log signed and replaced as found. Thanks Sweet-Sour for another one.

A great drive along here. A great spot on top of the hill among the hills. A good smoko spot. Thanks SS.

Out for a country drive towards Biggenden and then back to Kilkivan along Booubyjan Rd. Great location and it was very quiet as I ambled along finding the caches. Good coords always help and nice size containers too.

No problems finding the caches and once the logs were signed all were returned as found.

If a cache needed attention that was done too.

Thanks to the CO's for placing a great series in this area.

started this trail late in the evening and it was dark by the time i hit the western end. Not too many cars but a few cattle that did not want to get out of the way. Even saw a baby deer and mother close to one of the caches. Thankyou for a great trail. Dropped a TB

Hi there Sweet-Sour.

We found your cache **"Thomsen's Gap"** today. (This makes our find count 25648).

Today's plan was to head north up along Booubyjan Road and then continue back on to Brooweena - Woolooga Road. Also today we cursed the Garmin Drive Smart, because it has a habit of not showing caches on its map. So we probably missed a couple today and picked up a few we blindly drove past the other day.[:(!]

It was a really nice drive today, made even better by not having to wade through long grass to find the caches. Our tally today was 34 caches & 0 DNF's.

**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found your cache within a few metres of where our GPS said we should be looking.
**Cache Condition:** The container and log book are in good shape.
**Took:** Nothing
**Left:** Either a smiley badge or a gold coin

Thank you for adding to our adventure.

Regards

Ian & Penny

This Day in Music
14 Jan 2003 Linda Gail Lewis the sister of Jerry Lee Lewis, dropped a claim of sex discrimination against Van Morrison. Lewis had claimed that Morrison had 'publicly humiliated' her on stage and had tried to ruin her life by asking her for sex. She withdrew her claim after discussions with her lawyer. Morrison denied all the allegations.

So for the generic post. Because I always find to many caches
Thank you Youngoldfella and Sweet-sour for running these events

Came up to Kilkivan for the New Years event, tidying up the caches placed since I was here earlier in the year, and finding a few of the new ones mixed in along the way.

Great spot with a nice breeze, have an FP.

Hervey Bay - Kilkevin
It was pouring with rain as we left Hevey Bay, as we moved from the coast the skys cleared & turned into a great day for caching.
Todays round trip was approximately 150ks, all in very quiet farming country side.
All had good co-ords which meant for easy finds.
Thanks for placing this amazing series Sweet-Sour

I found your cache with my Dad, Oddiewan and most of the time, Semik. I am way behind on logging so learned how to use templates so I can catch up. Sorry this is not a detailed log, but I will do better with my logging now that I have the ability to log caches on a mobile phone. Thanks for the cache Sweet-Sour

Joint **FTF** with DiamonJS, patrol14, echocage1 and Grey Parrots.
After a nice mid year catch event up at the showgrounds with some familiar faces and meeting some new cachers we casually ventured off in a small convoy of two cars hoping to nab a couple of FTF's. Along the way it was a mad rush to put in the WP's so we knew where we had to go, starting from the bottom up.

Another nice size container, a quick find and clean log, you beauty.

Joint #FTF# We came to Kilkivan for 2 nights to attend Sweet-Sour’s unofficial event. Great to get away in our van after being grounded for months due to COVID-19. Went out this morning with Patrol14, Snickersallan, DiamonJS & Echocage1 and were very excited to get this FTF. Thanks Sweet-Sour for the event and the cache.

Decided I needed a visit to Qld for a day of caching, wow what a day with some fabulous caching pals old and new. Enjoyed the trip through the countryside and feel I need to come back and have a better look.

I do not chase *FTF* in my hometown as I think it is great when a newbie gets one and it gets them addicted to the game but was honoured that we get a few up here. TFTC

Kilkivan Caching Time again!! Whoohoo! Four of us journeyed together and arrived at around ten to 9. I then joined forces with my best caching buddy Youngoldfella, who had doscrapbooking and Tricia2C in the geobeast with him. Most admirable company for a geocaching venture! And there maybe a few First to Find caches as well? Oh good.

Well, we are at the top of our game here.

Log signed at 11.45am and cache replaced as found. TFTC, Sweet-Sour

Joint #FTF# with Grey Parrots, Snickersallan, DiamonJS & Echocage1. A whirlwind trip to Kilkivan and back to Brisbane in a day. Definitely deserves a return visit and stay for a few days. Do not chase FTF's and were very excited to get this one.
Thanks Sweet-Sour for the event and these good-sized caches. We will be back.

Camping at Kilkivan for the weekend when the CO released these. I had three other geocachers in the geo mobile with me and we had a good 3.75 hour adventure gathering up these 15. Many thanks for the event and thanks for these new ones. Apologies for the cut and paste logs. TFTC Sweet-Sour.
