On our Australian trip . After started for some days in Darwin we are on the road to Perth now .On the Road after Katherine we have seen Edith Falls, Kunnurra and Bungles Bungle. Finally we cross the Pentecost-river to enter the Gibb RiverRoad . A lot to see like Emma Falls, El Questro, Mitchel Falls, Manning Gorge, Galvans Gorge, Bell Gorge, Tunnel Creek and Windjana Gorge .Now return on the sealed road again . Further over Derby, Broome, Port Hedland, Karratha, Karijini NP and now to Exmouth also for some overnights .We spent some days here and went today for snorkeling, relaxing and diving .Looked for this one after a overnight somewhere on the beach outside the town... everything full here .Special place, but the sign isn ot there anymore!TFTC# 17'235
WA Big Trip Winter 2024. Day 99 - Exmouth to Onslow via Nanutarra Road house. I spent the morning doing some caches just outside of Exmouth, including a dramatic gorge road into the ranges. Then the driving really began, and the day was a little longer than most I have been doing recently, but there were not many option on where to stop. I had a brief afternoon stop at the road house, but so was everyone else and the line for fuel was impressive. The last stint into Onslow was a lot quieter on the road and ended at a fantastic little town, with all the amenities you could want to do very little for awhile. I went for a late afternoon walk and headed back to the van to cook dinner. Tomorrow is a day around this region.I stoped here to have a look into this huge gully and have a go at answering the questions. There is no sign here anymore. The view is very dramatic and not something I expected from the highway. I have put together some answers and sent them off. Thanks for the cache Ms Maddy48735.3 TNLNVisited: World Traveling Gold GC A#6 & 17000 Finds A#286**Albida**
We had a great time in this area today, exploring, filming and caching. This EC topped it all off by giving a great explanation of the forces that formed the surrounding scenery. Thank you very much.
The sign is gone, just the base plate remains. What a view. This place is so grounding. Nature is beautiful ????
Wow, such a great location! I loved the views, both coastal and the valleys of the ranges. The valleys were stunning and the rock formations so great to experience. I'm really pleased I got to visit. Thanks for highlighting it.
We headed out of exmouth today, dropped the caravan at the end of the road and headed up. What a spectacular place and we didn't expect so many canyons/gorges. It was well worth the drive. Thanks for putting this earth cache together
Back on holidays chasing the sun, travelling around and collecting a few caches on our way. Found your cache easily and it was in good condition. Thanks for adding to the enjoyment of holiday.
Found on our last morning in Exmouth - a great tour up the canyon with spectacular views
We all enjoyed the vista from GZ although it's always a bit scary when there's a steep drop !
Thanks for the cache, Ms Maddy !

Exploring Cape Range today and all we can say is wow... driving into exmouth over the last few days and these ranges look so much different from the road. Tftc
We are in Exmouth for a few days on our way to Darwin, and to find some caches of course.
We always enjoy a good EarthCache and this one didn't disappoint, the view is stunning in all directions, Thanks Ms Maddy for enticing us back up here.

Fantastic views, it’s our own little Grand Canyon…. Love seeing gorges like these… thank you for this earth cache…. Answers sent, although I’m not sure how correct I am
We really enjoyed coming out here today to see these magnificent views and see more of the history of this area. We were out at this canyon more than 30 years ago and the road was gravel, windy and rough back then so it was a pleasant drive for us today. The views are just spectacular and we had a great day picking up a couple of caches. Answers sent. TFTC
Staying up in Exmouth for a few days after enjoying the amazing eclipse. Today *LE4SKY* and *Igotdraggedhere* started their drive back south, whereas I had an extra night, so I took the opportunity to explore some more and pick up a few extra caches around the wider area. This was one that I stopped off at. We had actually been up here for sunrise, but we only collected the nearby trad... completely forgetting there was also this EC up here. So I came back later in the day Such a perfect spot for an earthcache! The (presumed) warning sign is missing, only the base remains, however all information was collected and answers sent to the CO for validation. Thanks for giving me another reason to come back here today and enjoy this scenery some more TFTEC
After enjoying the scenery on the Badjirrajirra walk, I headed back to our camp at Exmouth but not before stopping for this earthcache. I can't get enough of the views around here!

Love these gorges hidden in a very flat landscape. Great spot.

On our journey to Exmouth, following the recent bushfires and heavy rains in the area we were unsure if we would be able to take the turn and go up the range to Charles Knife Canyon... Luckily, the winding road was opened, making a neat separation between the contrasting colors of the green leafy side and the black ashy side. We managed to go up till the 1st carpark, located shortly after the end of the seal road. Then road was closed to due large puddles of water. We walked till the GZ and further admiring the breathtaking views on both sides of the road. The colors between the plateaus, the cliffs, the caves and the valleys are gorgeous; and while looking desolated the burnt side with its dark trunks contributed to some even more color striking contrast. Thank you Ms Maddy to have set up an Earthcache there, it definitely deserve it.

Got to the lookout no problems in the wee Mazda. Enjoyed the view and the lesson. Thanks for bringing us up this way. We probably wouldn’t have come up the road without the caches up here. Glad we did though!! TFTC
Part of an afternoon spent hiking around the gorges and collecting the caches in the area. Thanks for the cache!
Enjoyed the amazing scenery in Cape Range National Park. Thanks Maddy for the cache.
Thanks Ms Maddy a great EC!
Behind with logs again, ( Suprise! Suprise!) a combination of laziness, lack of time (there are so many cool things to see and do!), low data and a broken phone have meant I have found myself very behind with logs again, making an attempt to catch up while I have some downtime in airconditioned comfort and suprisingly good internet while out in the Pilbra. Now to remember them all... Aghh!
Thanks for being one of the caches we found sorry once again for the generic log, Cheers TT

Beautiful view! Kids got a good grasp of the geological processes that formed the karst scenery. TFTC!
A great time heading to the North West on a little wander out yonder holiday. Travel from Perth to Exmouth and back staying at many different locations and accomodation styles.
Thanks to all the cache owners for adding a little extra to the trip and taking us to some very magical locations.
Found this one in the army hours of the morning today prior to the placing warning up, amazing views in every direction, answers sent and off we went to the next.

I didn't come up this road last year when geo-hubby did another cache in this area, so I had no idea what sights awaited me. OMG I was completely blown away - we have our own version of the Grand Canyon right here in WA - breath taking. Made the necessary observations and sent our answers to the CO. Thanks Ms Maddy
Stunning spot! Thank you for bringing us here, answers sent to CO!Have a favourite point from us!

We drove out here early in the morning but were still hassled by muggles...well a few. These views were very impressive and feel positive we would not have bothered to come here as we were on a tight schedule. thanks for placing this interesting and informative earthcache here.
Stopped here many of times but with a 4 year old in tow its always hard to actually get out of the car and enjoy it. Luckily for me this day he was sound asleep in his carseat allowing Mumma to get the info and pics required.... its just taken me 6 months to remember to post it ?????
A really nice location this canyon. We liked it to discover and of course we visited this Earth Cache location.
Great view.

Pulled into Exmouth today from Karratha and while the wife slept off a headache I gave her some peace and quiet and collected a bunch of caches around town. A beautiful afternoon with temperatures around 30 degrees and a nice breeze. A welcome break from the mid-40s I had been experiencing throughout the kimberley.
Had three weeks holiday so decided on a massive road trip to the most northern part of the state - the Kimberley. An area we have never explored, but had always been on the to do list. We travelled through the towns of Mount Magnet, Newman, Port Hedland, Broome, Halls Creek, Kununurra, back to Broome, Karratha, Exmouth, Denham, Geraldton and back home to Perth. It certainly was a very quick trip for the distance covered, over 8,000 kilometres in total, we saw a lot in such a short space of time, but barely scratched the surface of what’s out in these parts.

I will be visiting Exmouth quite a bit over coming weeks and months and was checking out the cache options that I could spread over the planned trips. Imagine my surprise to see a new cache, placed by a fellow QLD'er, that was yet to be found... Ooh, could I snare *FTF* I wondered. [?]
As I flew into Perth yesterday, I checked the cache and noted still no finds. Excellent... Another check just before boarding my flight North suggested the same situation, so I made a beeline for GZ once I got off the plane. [^]
As I was scanning the area gleaning my answers, I was joined by a british couple who were enjoying the area. I asked if they were Geocaching in case they wanted to share FTF, but they were simply taking in the sights from the same location. Fair enough.
With my interpretations noted, I decided to head across the road for the high terrain cache. Not a brilliant move in the hotest part of the day, but I headed off anyway.
Cheers Ms Maddy, I love visiting this area when in town, thanks for giving me a second reason for doing so.
