Another night spent in Cudgewa after helping the old man with a job his working on. I was not feeling too good this trip, so instead of climbing a mountain, I decided to spend the following day caching around Corryong. I had a great day whizzing around town, completing AdLabs, puzzles, mutlis, and trads. The highlight of my day was the local lookout, I haven't been up here in years and was quite impressed with the works that have been done since. Interesting history, once at wp2 took a couple of recounts before I had what I needed. Then not to long after I found what I was looking for. Librarians clearly knew what I was up too!TFTC!
That was the most complicated multi we have done in a long time. Well done on a great challenge. Put the key back where we think it should have been as per description as it was on a much higher shelf. TFTH
3.6 deg. overnight in Khancban, but a beautiful clear sunny day for caching. Kept out of the way of the crowds for the MfSM Festival, and had a great day AdLabing and caching. made a silly mistake at the last WP for this one, but enlisted the staff here to help. What a beaut idea these library caches are. Other good ones exist at Wagga Wagga and Wangaratta, to name a couple. Thanks SciFiRulz for your work here. Favourite for sure !
Did all the legwork for the cache only to find last location is closed till 2 Jan. Looks like I may never find cache.
Find # 10732Looking at my stats I have a personal goal to meet before year end and its not an altogether small one. BUT when Im on a mission anything could happen. So, on a brief work trip to NE VIC and I have a long list of caches to collect so no time for spinning the wheels Picked up the trusty SUV hire car and off I go. Making the most of the opportunity for a few hours of caching fun. Via Piccadilly Circus at long last, its been a long time since Ive been up here. Pre-C in fact. Seeking out the occasional challenge or two, or trying to mop up as many solves as I can to keep that long list under control. Seems to increase faster than it decreases Fantastic multi, just loved this, wish I could give it more than one Quick easy find at Elyne Mitchell Library Corryong here today. Cache container and log in good condition, unless otherwise stated. Thanks so much for the many caches SciFiRulz and of course for giving me a reason and incentive to get out here, and to experience this part of the world in a different light
So much fun, this multi! We always enjoy the adventure and challenge of multis, and this one did not disappoint! From cemetery to beautiful library (cooler in the heat) we had fun collecting the information and numbers. Beautifully themed and lovely final. Thanks SciFiRulz. Of course we add a FPDomsky
Lucky me is on a multi mission so very happy and you could say curious to find out what the CO might conjure up! A nice connection between WP1 and 2 and a nice opportunity to escape the humidity. I love libraries too so a fave from me for this ‘project’ TFTC AND THE FUN
A very well thought out multi, paying homage to a famous local author.
We thoroughly enjoyed doing this cache and were thankful that GZ was indoors out of the sun.

We loved this multi and were glad that we were able to complete the cache before leaving Corryong this morning. It was a nice location to sit under a tree before the Library opened. This was a great themed cache with some interesting history and an excellent final stage. A favourite from us, thanks SciFiRulz
Taking some time after the Wangaratta Mega to travel around and grab some caches with The_Tritonz.
We collected some of the information for this one yesterday whilst doing the lab cache and the rest of it last night whilst waiting for our pizza's for tea. Now we are back for the smiley. The staff were lovely and seemed very pleased that we were here to find the cache.
Thanks for placing the cache for us to find.

We worked out the 2nd waypoint while gathering the labcache at the cemetery. Then while waiting for our pizza to cook we collected the next lot of info but of coarse by now the library was shut.
Today after breaking camp we headed to the library once more to make a quick find.
The staff were very lovely and asked if we needed help…..our reply was no thanks we are geocachers we will find it and we did.
Nicely done, a favourite point added.
Thanks SciFiRulz for the multi placement.

We took the motorhome away for a few days and made a few great finds along the way. Loved stopping off to explore the library and finding out about this very interesting lady.
It took us a bit to come up with the correct numbers but soon had it in hand and enjoyed the experience, so given a fav.
Thanks SciFiRulz for placing the cache and doing the maintenance, so we can enjoy the find.

That was such an amazing cache! I wonder if the library staff knew what we were doing . Located the spot fairly quickly and we’re truly amazed at the ‘container’. Well worthy of a favourite point!!!! TFTC
We spent the night in Wodonga with the plan of going out to Corryong to grab the Adventure Lab and what ever else came up along the way. Unfortunately we awoke to quite a miserable day and we didn't get quite as many as we planned but we still enjoyed the visit to the area.
As we wandered around collecting the information for the lab there was no way that we were going to leave without attempting this one as well. So after finishing the lab we headed off to wpt 2 where unfortunately we found out that we aren't very good at counting rocks so our first look at gz we walked away empty handed. We went back and checked all our answers and found that we had missed a rock, headed back to gz and after searching for a little while the very nice lady in the library must have felt sorry for us and suggested that perhaps we look in "This area".
It turns out that we missed two rocks and what a difference that makes but at least we can happily say that our name has been added to the log.
Thanks once more SciFirulz for a novel cache hide, a favourite point from us.

Day 4 of our NSW road trip and with 2 nights in Tumba we decided to head down to Corryong for the day. Plenty of outstanding scenery and many interesting caches to discover - thanks to the COs for placing and maintaining them.
Thanks for an interesting cache - even meet a part time cacher at GZ who was doing some research work. A FP given.

Out and about caching today travelling between Tumbarumba and Corryong. Thank you to all CO's for placing these caches in the various location. Apart from the great scenery, looking for, find the caches and signing the logs made it a most enjoyable day. TFTC Giving a FP for the set up of the cache and its location
Back in Corryong for a holiday. Missed you guys last year! Good to see a few new caches in town. Enjoyed this pne, good to learn about Ms Mitchell. A very clever hide. Thanks, a fav from us.
We started this cache on Saturday at the start of our long weekend birthday trip. We collected all the details, but had to come back today to find GZ when it was open on our way home. Interesting history information. Great creative cache idea. TFTC

An unfound Adventure Lab Cache drew BettyBoo3747 and I to Corryong.
A lovely drive from Beechworth, the areas are so green.
The weather was a bit iffy, but not enough to stop caching.
We had a listing of this cache as we figured we would be going to the cemetery and past the library, so we would collect the numbers we required for another time.
The Adventure Lab took us to a familiar grave, so we dropped in on Elyne as well.
After completing the Lab we were back in town for lunch, and so we dropped in to WP2.
There were books outside, and the council offices were open so we walked in.
I asked the lady if the library was open, and she said yes! (sign book, disinfect,..etc)
There were some areas roped off (public computers, etc) but the important place was open.
So while some guy was arguing about his rates, I accessed the logbook and signed our names.
A very nice cache.
Thanks, Robmc.

#17450. With the lure of a new AdLab cache in Corryong and the freedom to actually use our almost new camper, we decided to head out and have a night away. An early start meant we achieved all that we wanted to do today. Wonderful green pastures everywhere but also the sight of burnt trees and creeks and rivers flowing like thick rich chocolate. An awful sight. So much rebuilding to be done through this area.
It was a nice surprise to be able to sign off on this one as we fully expected the library to still be closed. As we were gathering all the information from the front gardens we noticed people going inside to the Shire Office so once we had all our numbers sorted Rob decided to go in and see if he could get to GZ, He came out with a big smile and success was ours. Now time to get some lunch and enjoy the gardens some more.
Elyne Mitchell was a favourite author when I was young - I loved the Silver Brumby series.
Thanks SciFiRulz

Due to the Covid situation the library isn't actually open at this current time I have been unable to find this cache
Thanks SciFiRulz for this cache. Staying in town for a few days and grabbing the odd cache here and there. Back from a trip to Geehi today and read through this one. Decided to skip stage one and pick it up at stage 2. Unable to get numbers that matched the checksum I felt I was close enough to make the find. So excited to find the book I had failed to read all the details. Nice cover by the way, good work there. I read the remainder and got the final piece to sign the book. Thanks for the adventure. FP for you
Perchance Mr Harrowang had a job to look at in Corryong and Mrs Harrowang, having Mondays off, was able to accompany him. The work part being taken care of, we were free to check out this latest multi. So sad to see all the devastation of the recent bushfires in parts of the Town and in the surrounding area. Fortunately all waypoints were unaffected and the prize was soon in hand. SL at 12 noon. Left: vintage hat PT. #6919 TFTC SciFiRulz
Mr Winglen tends to turn down his mouth at a multi but I was very keen to do this one, and it is absolutely worth doing - a lovely hide. As a little girl I remember Mrs Mitchell getting about the town in her old Landrover, going up to the cemetery each week to her son’s grave.
I had a nice chat with the library staff, after one of them asked to know more about caching. And now we are once again down to no unfound caches in Corryong . Thanks for the fun SciFiRulz and a favourite point for this one.

There's a little country town that I like and it's called Corryong [^]
OK so it may have something to do with an A. B. Patterson poem too and also books about a Silver Brumby [^]
So when an unexpected opportunity of time off work for medical reasons [|)][xx(] and a possible FTF at Corryong occur simultaneously.... it's road trip time!! [^]
Four days, over 1,500km and the chance to turn a previous DNF in Orbost into a smiley while also finding the last lonely unfound cache in a series in Crinigan Reserve near Morwell [^] and overall 34 cache finds including the long forgotten map 23 area [^] which I'd missed on my last trip to the NE corner of Victoria
We camped and drove, walked and wandered in rain then sunshine and saw snow on the mountains in NSW in summer [?] We saw gum trees as high as the sky , searched in rainforests and passed through amazing countryside
A huge trip and an all night drive to get home so that I could attend the movie 'Happy Sad Man' in Shepparton on the 5th December. A good movie about men's mental health and worth seeing if you get the chance [^][^]
I do like a multi and when it is based on books that I loved as child [^] and in a town that I like then I had to take a chance and drive up here to be at the library doors at 9am on Monday morning!! [^]
Seems CO's like to turn up when they think a FTF of their cache is about to happen
I made the find, after having my mathematical errors pointed to me , and then was handed the 1st FTF prize hand made by the CO [^]
Now off to the Community Bakery for my breakfast and coffee with the lovely CO [^]
Oh yeah Woohoo! *FTF* although it was a VERY hushed FTF dance and yell because after all, we were in a library!
