Visiting this stunning area for the day for a 4wd club Christmas in July event. It was my second time here and I had a few hours to spare, so thought I'd stop for a couple of caches and introduce one of my friends to the boys of caching. After a quick stop, some quick pics as cars were approaching, the cache was soon in hand, signed and replaced. TFTC.
Just when I was convinced there was no where to hide a geocache here, I opened my eyes, and found it. tftc
Today I joined forces with chamad and geopup to collect some caches in 2 LGAs for a couple of challenges and to enjoy this beautiful part of our country.A quick find here, log signed, cache replaced as found. Thanks LizBeth1998 for the cache.
Today was a fun caching day with Willis007 and geodog bella. The plan was to grab a few target caches around the scenic rim area and then continue to head off to the northern rivers area and grab a few numbers. With just a few on the list, it was easy to fill the day in further with a few extra caches as we passed by. The run for the target caches were for challenge caches in Brisbane that willis007 was working on. For me it was a nice day for a drive and a couple of interesting caches to collect along the way. While there was no pressure for the day's outing, we still managed to grab a few interesting caches and a nice tally for the day. We signed all logs and returned caches as we found them.It is a very interesting area around here and I enjoy just driving around and the views, awesome.Thank you for placing the cache here and bringing me to this area.
We enjoyed the tour around the country roads today . The cache here was soon found, log signed and replaced as found. Thanks LizBeth1998
Tftc. This took too long because I had set my brains for one certain type of container and could not let it go but tried to find just that type. After all, I gave up and found another familiar type of container. Thank you.
Bit hard to park the Big Geo-Mobile but found it. Hardest part was then turning around
Yesterday we spent doing NRRT caches with a large group. This morning the numbers had dwindled with only Brother Colin and myself setting out early to pick up caches on a return ride to Tyalgum for coffee and scones.
We missed the turn into town so kept peddling to this cache. Looking at the hilly terrain ahead we decided coffee was a better option than continuing on to the next caches along this road.

Teamdfl & I had planned to ride the Northern Rivers Rail Trail (NRRT) last weekend and then Ruzzelz started organizing another of his group rides, so we changed our trip to join the bigger group.
In the end there was about a dozen people (and two dogs) in the group.
On the return ride we did stop at Burringbar Pub for a meal and drinks. I would recommend a stop here.
Overall, a great day out. I ended up cycling a little over 60km.
That was yesterday. Today Ruzzlez and I cycled out to Tyalgum because the road is closed to vehicular traffic due to a section being destroyed by flood waters.
We found a few caches, had scones and a drink at Tyalgum and had a great ride.
Today I cycled a little under 60km.
Thanks for the adventure Ruzzelz.

It’s a strange day today… we dropped our dog at the Ekka this morning at 6:30… we can’t even watch… so to take our mind off the drama of the Ekka Dog Show, Blkthunder and I are caching through the Tweed Valley…
The vague plan was to work our way from Murwillumbah to Tyalgum along Tyalgum Road… that fell apart when I came across a road closed…
We’re now heading back out of Tyalgum… after enjoying a bite to eat and gawking at the High Tea facilities… currently there’s an automated traffic control point at GZ which meant we could hunt the cache unobserved…

Most of Ankh-Morpork's business is done in Morpork. The centers of power at the palace and the university, most of the industry and commerce, apart from the Phedre Road area and the docks rimward, are across the river. Ankh comprises mostly mansions, parks, homes of the upper-middle class and the theater district of the Isle of Gods. It can afford such frivolous uses of land as Hide Park, the Tump, Mort Lake and the racetrack.
Our and about around the Tweed and stopped here to find this cache. Quick find. Great views. TFTC
Found with nene2313. Make sure you call into Flutterbies Cottage Cafe whilst in Tyalgum. We had an amazing meal here. TFTC
Murwillumbah Day 2
Our caching companions today were the Snakepitters, We planned a circular route that took us out along farming country side, with amazing mountain views, & flowing creek beds.
It was a good day out with some great cache hides in some wonderful locations
Thankyou LizBeth1998 for placing this cache.

The clouds are low and there's some rain gently falling making the grass so lush and green. We checked out the local campground for a return visit. Thanks for bringing us out here. Cache nice and dry. TFTC
After spending the day with the cousin in Tyalgum, I felt like I needed to get at least some caching in while in the area and went for an hour long caching mission to find 12 caches and see more of the pretty area and sunset views.
Quick find, nice cache, all in good order.
Thank you LizBeth1998 for putting the cache out and maintaining it.

On the way to dong an AL I passed through here and had to stop at the welcome sign. A beautiful town and felt very welcome. TFTC!
Another trip south of the border to finish off an Adventure Lab and to catch some smiles. Make a list of the caches, print out some new border passes, pack the hand sanitizer, hoh hum!
It is 42C and we are flagging a bit after a couple of hours of solid caching! Thankfully in the full blazing sun this was a quick find. Nice view of the valley. TFTC LizBeth1998

Walked here from the village and luckily I was familiar with the type of container. Found it quickly. Thanks
Found at 12:46 PM GAFF1.
Such a picturesque area - looks like the village is in the middle of a caldera with those mountains surrounding it.
Started checking the obvious spot for something magnetic and - yes I did poke the old wasps nest just in case [:o)]
Looked in a new location and there it was.
Thanks LizBeth1998.

Had an afternoon free so thought I would go to a couple of spots to look for birds got my annual list and also attempt a few of the caches that had been placed since my last visit a year ago - good to see a range of new caches around Murwillumbah. Such a pleasant drive and most of the caches were quick finds - and even got a FTF to boot.
Next one on my way to Tyalgum (where I got a good coffee) and a quick park and grab. Looked high and hoped the wasp nest wasn’t the camo, but looked a bit harder and the familiar container was found. Log signed and on my way.

Great to see the Lolly Bag Loop caches coming back! You're doing a great job of maintaining a great set of caches on picturesque drive through Murwillumbah to Tyalgum and back again. It was so nice to visit the area and have heaps of caches to go any find again. Took me back from when I was out here caching last - which I think was 2011! There was actually 2 of the original Lolly Bag caches I found today, that I missed on my last trip.
Love Tyalgum, such a pretty spot with the best mountainous backdrop of any Aussie town. Great work Lizzie!

We were supposed to be here for lunch but morning tea sounds good but no lets continue to our goal and come back for lunch to celebrate our *FTF* and my birthday. TFTF
This place has been a favourite place with Dad Rusty85 my whole life as I think I first visited before I was born and I know we bought Rusty85 while she was a babe in arms. TFTC
Taking a drive around the Tweed Valley to collect a few new caches. Quick find at GZ. Thanks.
