After over seven weeks on the road, I'm back home and finally catching up on all my logging.Caching in South Australia was fantastic, so many good hides to find, and we found ourselves zigzagging all over the place doing lots of geoart but of course ran out of time to get everything done on our to-do list. The majority of caches we found were in great condition and well maintained, which is a credit to all the CO's who placed them, so thank you.Our logs were mostly signed as 5 for QLD to save room on the log sheets, and no doubt, we'll be back again in the near future.
An early morning start after our overnight stay. I am traveling with my friends, hatzofff, RoddyC, Snickersallan and grannysmith1947. We are signing all logs as "5 for QLD" to save space. All caches were found, signed and replaced as foundAfter some early caches and an event we headed off to some special geoart and an overnight stay before heading back to Adelaide for the start of the Mega. Today has been one of the hottest and windiest we have had so far. [:(!] Here's hoping Adelaide will be a bit cooler tomorrow.
TFTC smile 18754 Out and about on a lovely day Having a great time finding a few caches heading to Adelaide for a few weeks then on our way to Canberra . Signing as 5 for QLD - Hatzofff Snickersallan RoddyC Imbunda. What a great team we made and lots of laughter and fun. Lots of caches to get today, and it was hot and windy at the geo art Thank you JJ52 for placing this cache for our enjoyment [:X]
A Leap Year Mega draws us to Adelaide. Today's our intrepid group has our second day in South AustraliaWe are using the Acronym 6 for QLD to sign the log sheets. Most of the caches this day were nice quick finds. And so happily I say that the logs were signed and caches replaced as found on this day, 27th February 2024. TFTC, JJ52.
On our way through to the Great Leap Mega Event and grabbing caches as we go. Had to check out Port Broughton as its where my brother said he is retiring to in a few years.Nice little town.TFTC

Darwin to Adelaide Road Trip
Day Nine: Port Augusta to Gumeracha
Weather: perfect, but windy
My first time in Port Broughton, including the precaching years.
I’m not sure if that’s meant to be a pentagram on the front door or not.
The cache was found quickly and is in good condition.
Thanks for the cache JJ52.
It’s officially a mega - GCA1DNA “The Great Leap Forward”

Staying in Port Broughton for a few days and had to come into town for dinner, and this was close by. So while the meal was being made, I went for a walk. Arrived at GZ and quickly spotted the hide and uncovered the cache. Extracted the log and signed it and then replaced all as found. Now back to see if dinner is ready.

While staying in Wallaroo for a short visit we decided to head north and grab a few caches along the way.
Today was the first day we’ve come across any flies since last Autumn, not in thick numbers but I’m sure they’ll build up quickly.
We also came across a large brown snake sunning himself on some rocks at one of the caches we visited. We promptly abandoned the search for that one very quickly
Many thanks for the hide JJ52
