Not many places to hide here so a quick circumnavigation revealed what I was looking for in reasonably short order. Getting to the end of a long ride now and having relatively few "evil" hides has made for quite a successful day. TFTC.

GAR not long joined me after spending a couple of hours at the local store of our workplace and so we shifted the caching to the river (after grabbing a bite to eat) so that the dog could stretch her leg somewhere nice. This was the first find after parking nearby. GAR went back for his raincoat while I searched as it started spitting and nothing worse than a walk in the rain without any protection. Straight forward find and I was already onto the next cache by the time he caught up. Thanks for placing PJMacNZ.

Another riverside cache and a nice hide here. Picked the right side to start and after getting down to foot level soon spotted the cache and signed in. T F T C PJMacNZ.

After a whistle-stop trip to Hawkes Bay on Saturday for a couple of Geotour placements, followed by a day in the garden with chores to be completed and some lawn enhancements begun, which may yet turn out to be bigger than the chariot driving Benjamin Hurr. I was determined to attend an Anzac Day service too, and picked Colyton as being a viable destination, and my attendance in the improving weather was both moving and solemn.
Followed this observance with a trip to a call the troops event in Palmy and after that I picked off a few random caches, as well as completing stages on three previously started Ad Labs, and beginning and ending a fourth one. So just the one left in Palmy, for now. Thanks to all COs fore their hides today, the weather was awesome and a good day to be out and about.

Moved to Palmy for a few months and thought I would get a streak going. Now day 54. Well today was a challenge as it’s cold and raining. Just had an hour of daylight after work so headed to two sad faces that have been replaced since I was last here. At least I didn’t have to worry about muggles and after a very damp search managed to feel the cache. Thanks for the maintenance and a smiley.

I was due to spend some time in Palmy today, doing research for an upcoming cache and a maintenance run to replace another cache of mine that had been muggled, and seeing that today was a dot day it was also an excuse to take an extended walk along the path here and pickup this cache if it was quiet enough to have a search.

On arriving at GZ I was a bit surprised to find the whole area free of other humans, so I was able to look without interruption and made the find after a few minutes of systematic searching. All is fine with with cache, which was signed and replaced exactly as found.

Thanks for placing this cache.

And Found it is. I've decided to restart my streak of consecutive daily geocache finds to go better than my previous effort of 186 days.
When I've achieved my goal of 366 days I hope to have have at least three caches every day of the 365-day Challenge.
So having found one today I needed a second. I chose this cache as it fills a hole in my Jasmer Grid Challenge - November last year! Only three more months to get then I'll have to head over to USA to get the last four!
Straight forward find fills that gloating hole. All good here. Also I believe this geocache may be my 2400th find. So thank you for placing it when you did; and maintaining it.

#11,606. A good walk in Hokowhitu, Palmerston North. Quite a number of people were cycling or walking the tracks. Fortunately, GZ itself was all quiet at the time of our visit. Quick find. The cache was in good condition, all nice and dry inside. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log.

18-Dec-19
Was in Palmerston North for work and was spending the night, after finishing work, I decided that I might as well go out and grab some dinner, but I was running a bit early and the weather had just cleared up a bit better than it was earlier when it was trying very hard to rain.

I spotted this cache here and decided that since it wasnt too far from where I was, I would go and check it out, was able to find a safe parking spot just off Ruahine Street, and from there it was going to be a easy walk to GZ.

I was glad that I decided to o it when I did as it was still a bit early so the muggles were still at work, as I was in my work clothes I decided that I would stay on the paths that were provided where I could, and was able to get near GZ before having to go off it for the last few metres, but that wasnt too bad.

As I was making my way towards GZ I decided to read the hint and soon realised where I needed to look and it only took a few seconds to spot and I soon spotted something and I soon realised that it was the cache.

Managed to retrieve the cache, opened, and signed the logsheet and then it was time to return the cache back to where I got it from. Thanks PJMacNZ for placing this cache here and for bringing me to this spot. TFTC TNLNSL (15040). Now it is time to go back to the car and go and get some dinner.

I haven’t been down this end of the Bridle Track in a while.

Certainly easy to spot the Rocks!
Cache dry and in good condition

03-Dec-19
My last day over at the very nearby school so once I'd finished I set out. A few spots started as I began and I hoped it would stay off. Found and signed but as I made my way back the spots became real rain and as I got back into the car it really started to rain, and heavily, so I was pleased to get this newer cache.
Thanks for this new cache. All was well.

Thanks PJMacNZ for placing this cache

I had been thinking that this area deserved a few more caches... as I love biking along here or dog-walking.

Quick find today with no muggles in sight... TNLNSL on my way to the GIFF event

It’s always good to have an added incentive for a walk along the river and a new cache certainly fulfills that idea.
As we neared the cache area the reason for its name became obvious, and at GZ the coordinates proved very accurate at leading us to the cache itself.
Up to now all was straightforward until we went to sign the log - Mrs G hadn’t thought to bring her bag ( with a pen in it) and Mr G couldn’t find his usual pencil-in-the-pocket. Rain was threatening and the car was quite a distance away. Be resourceful... Mr G managed to find a bit of burnt stick so we signed the log using that. We just put 12 for the date and then geodatum, but it is smudgy and a bit indistinct - apologies for that. We’ll tidy it up next time we come that way - as long as we remember to bring a pen! Thanks for bringing us here PJMacNZ.
