Today we decided to head down the Tasman Peninsular and spend the day down there exploring the area and collecting the many new and outstanding geocaches in the region that we have not yet found. We always enjoy this area no matter what the weather it is always lovely. We set off early being mindful of the tide times for those coastal caches that are preferable at low tide. It was overcast and blustery but pleasant all the same.

This time we came armed with the right equipment to get this cache after choosing not to get it last time In summer when the blackberry bushes were on steroids and the thorns extra ferocious. This time we were armed with secateurs and gloves , we were probably over equipped because the bushes are not as bad in winter and we think other geocachers have done lots of pruning over the last few months. We did do a bit more pruning ready for the next person but all in all the cache was easily accessed, signed and replaced. TFTC we are happy to finally have a yellow smiley on this cache.

While caching in the area we found your cache along the way.

Once we worked out where to attack those prickles we made a quick find as Mrs "T" held back those prickly thorns, cache and contents were in good condition.

Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

When i arrived at this one i initially could see it. Read hint, find pole... ah there you are. This is gonna be tricky but someone so conveniently left a nice sized stick. Bit of the ol' swish and then press a foot on the base of the stick and it magically pushed those 'pricks' down to size enough for me to reach in and undo the cache and sign the log.
Did that at 10:42 on Wednesday 7 April 2021.

A Smile emoji for me here today was on my face Smile till i felt the inevitable upon returning the cache... uh... yeah, there went the smile emoji ha ha [:o] more like the [B)] emoji for me.

Even with the unwanted "jab" i still got the Smile booty Wink

When we arrived at gz we took a look at the blackberry bushes and decided not to torture ourselves. They are seriously well grown and the cache is in the middle of them.

Haha prick of a spot alright, blackberry plants have taken over this one. Otherwise an easy find TFTC

When we arrived at this location, we knew immediately that we were in for a battle. The recent wet and warm weather has made the blackberries grow like triffids - we are sure that we could see growth during our visit. It took a little while to locate the cache, even longer to extract the logbook as we had to fight the blackberries and then we had to put it back. All in all, it wasn't a pleasant experience. Although we got a smilie for the find, if we included an emojis in our log, there would not be happy faces. Thanks 63ROOS for the cache (we think).

An excellent series of traditional, multi and mystery caches to find.
We enjoyed the scenic drive on such a beautiful sunny day on the peninsula. Thanks, 63ROOS for all the effort you went to in creating this cache and the series.

Suscoe was wandering the roads of the Tasman Peninsular today.
It was a lovely day with some drizzly rain in the morning, some sunshine as well and a solid South Easterly wind.
The roads were quiet down here today which made the wandering quite pleasant.
We did a lap and a bit which showed us the range of the countryside from farm lands to bushland and everything inbetween, we were also amazed at the number of homes located around the delightful bays.

Thanks to 63ROOS for this hide, the blakcberries are looking close to being ripe.

We were looking on the wrong side of the road to start with but once we'd found the hint item, it was a quick find.

Thanks for the cache 63ROOS.

Today, RLD4963 and I went for a drive on the peninsula whilst my son and his girlfriend were visiting the Port Arthur Historic site.

Great to see some new caches on the peninsula, and great to see a few different types published as part of this series.

We pulled up next to GZ and the cache was very quickly spotted. Thanks for the series 63ROOS, enjoyed the drive!

Gpsr was showing +/- 70m which hindered the search for a while. When it settled down, and the search area reduced from several acres, the cache was soon in hand. Back in the 1960's I rode my bicycle about 2km down this road each weekday and parked it very close to gz so I could catch the school bus to Nubeena. The uphill ride back up the road in the afternoon wasn't always eagerly anticipated. TNLN. TFTC.

A rainy Day in Tasmania, but we found some Caches. This give us a little Sunshine !
Thank you for the Cache.

It had been drizzling at home before we left and then seemed to clear so we decided to head towards the Tasman Peninsula to locate 10 new caches and this was one of them. As we left home the drizzle returned but we had packed the raincoats so decided to keep going. The cache was easily located according to the hint. We hope the blackberries don't get too much bigger. Last cache for the day. It was time to get home and ready for dinner. Cache quickly spotted and signed. The creek was flowing well after the small amount of rain. Lets hope we get some more to help out the farmers.
Thanks for all the new caches 63ROOS

I didnt even notice the smile emoji tbh, the cache on the other had was soon spotted and our names added to the log.

Thanks for the cache.

First proper day caching since I got back from the Mega on the big island, great to be back out caching on common ground.
Today it was down to the Tasman peninsula to find some new caches and some old ones I had missed in my past visits, but as just about always I leave something for the next time Smile

Hi 63ROOS, We were relaxing watching the News when the familiar dings came through for eight new caches from yourself and with all FTF's there is a bit of luck involved and with the first of seven only 20kms from my doorstep it was time to take off and see how many we could get. Luckily Mrs PC hadn't started tea so after working out the puzzle coordinates for Nubeena #1 we set off in bright sunshine and the wind which had been blowing quite blustery all day subsided and it was a great night for caching. This one was the first of seven FTF's and I am sorry for being greedy but once you are in the zone it is very hard to stop. This one was interesting I was wandering around a bit but then I saw a possibility and yes there it is so signed the log at 7.02pm FTF, thanks 63ROOS, accurate coordinates as usual with your hides. Traffic was quite light tonight which was of great benefit too.
