It was time for a return trip to Tassie to explore the southern part of the state. I paired up with OzHockeyChick for a 5 day caching blitz with some sightseeing in between. Today was Day 3 and it was time to head east towards Port Arthur.

A simple puzzle turned to a smiley. Thanks!

Thanks 63ROOS for adding this cache to the worldwide collection for us all to enjoy.

We are visiting Australia from Florida, USA for a multi-week vacation which will have us visiting two states in Australia (Tasmania and the ACT) we missed in 2014 followed by 28 days on the Ovation of the Seas including New Zealand and a Transpacific to Honolulu, Hawaii, USA.

Today was our fourth day of the trip and our first full day in Tasmania, with the forecast of a beautiful day we set up a routing to the Port Arthur area and back to Hobart. We had eight Multicaches, three Earthcaches, three Virtual caches, six Unknown caches, four+ Adventure Lab sets on our to-do list, we would also surpass the 1900 Multicache finds milestone today.

We would end up with six caches in the Nubeena area, since this was solved prior to our trip it was a speedy C&D. Thanks for a fun puzzle. tftc!!

Today our group of 11 kiwi cachers picked up our 4 rental cars, and headed for a visit to Port Arthur. Of course we did a little caching along the way, and took the opportunity after the Port Arthur visit to explore the Tasman Peninsula.
After travelling south to the South Tasmania Virtual we completed the clockwise loop through Nubeena from Port Arthur. No problems solving this one, and a nice easy pick up too. Thanks.

On a road trip from Hobart to Stanley with my mum over 2 weeks. We visited a number of towns and we were mainly targeting Virtuals and Earthcaches due to the amazing locations they take one to. We did pick up the random traditional, multi, puzzle, wherigo and even a couple letterbox caches whilst travelling.

Today is the first day of the actual road trip as prior days were spending time with family. After checking into our accommodation for the evening, we had some daylight left, so decided we would go for a drive around the Port Arthur penninsular area. Worked our way around collecting caches until we lost sunlight. Had this one solved prior to our visit.

Thanks for placing and mainting this geocache 63ROOS Big Grin

Solved in a jiffy the night before i came down here to this lovely picturesque part of Tassie with 97.7FM on all the way whilst i was driving Wink

Pulled up to make a swift find of what i initially (for a very brief moment) didn't think was the cache. I must admit it is the 1st of it's kind i've ever seen. Nice apparatus indeed [^]

Caching is guiding our travels as we enjoy a range of hides highlighting interesting places on our Tasmania holiday. Today we traveled from Sorell to the Historic Coal Mines site at Saltwater River. So many amazing views and places to explore.
Thank you for your mystery cache along the way. This was an interesting container hide.

15-Dec-20
This was a straightforward puzzle and we soon had a set of coordinates which pleased the coordinate checker. Accurate coordinates led to a quick find of an interesting cache holder. We have come across these on the northern island but this is the first we have seen in Tassie. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks 63ROOS for the puzzle and the cache.

Decided a few days ago to head to Port Arthur after an early morning appointment for Lady membsec, to do a maintenance run for the geofamily and also get a few newly released caches since our last visit. Turned out we chose a good day!

Coords worked out quickly and GZ was a challenge for one member but we managed to retrieve and sign. Nice construction.

Cool cache gadget! Thanks for the cache!

21-Feb-20
Suscoe was wandering the roads of the Tasman Peninsular today.
It was a lovely day with some drizzly rain in the morning, some sunshine as well and a solid South Easterly wind.
The roads were quiet down here today which made the wandering quite pleasant.
We did a lap and a bit which showed us the range of the countryside from farm lands to bushland and everything inbetween, we were also amazed at the number of homes located around the delightful bays.

Thanks to 63ROOS for this puzzle and cache.
A nice placement too.
A favourite.

Thanks for the mystery 63ROOS.

Today, RLD4963 and I went for a drive on the peninsula whilst my son and his girlfriend were visiting the Port Arthur Historic site.

Great to see some new caches on the peninsula, and great to see a few different types published as part of this series. Must say that we were very impressed with your cache holder for this one!!! Very cool.

Thanks for the puzzle, and for us, it was a nice quick find at GZ.

15-Dec-19
It had been drizzling at home before we left and then seemed to clear so we decided to head towards the Tasman Peninsula to locate 10 new caches and this was one of them. As we left home the drizzle returned but we had packed the raincoats so decided to keep going. An interesting personalised holder. The cute locals kept an eye on us. TFTP

Hello 63ROOS thank you for the cache.

The puzzle was easy enough to solve.
At GZ I got out of the car and looked at a likely stump and first thought that is a BIG blue tongue lizard, at the same time calling out to EeePees to come and have a look, realised it was a large snake. It very quickly started down a hole in the stump. I was very tempted to grab it tail and pull it out but very quickly thought that is a very stupid idea so left it alone and got the camera instead.

Found with EeePees while having a great day caching.

We had been warned about the nearly snake earlier in the day but the cache was found high and dry some distance from 'snake GZ'. The snake was either right in the hole or had moved on as it was nowhere to be seen. A quick find, great holder!! Now back to town (Nubeena) for a an attempt at lunch which, like round 2 at Premaydena, was pretty awful.
Thanks for the puzzle cache 63ROOS

We grabbed this one before we went to hunt out some lunch, what a very good cache holder/container I like your work on this one 63roos

thanks for the puzzle.

First proper day caching since I got back from the Mega on the big island, great to be back out caching on common ground.
Today it was down to the Tasman peninsula to find some new caches and some old ones I had missed in my past visits, but as just about always I leave something for the next time Smile

Hi 63ROOS, We were relaxing watching the News when the familiar dings came through for eight new caches from yourself and with all FTF's there is a bit of luck involved and with the first of seven only 20kms from my doorstep it was time to take off and see how many we could get. Luckily Mrs PC hadn't started tea so after working out the puzzle coordinates for Nubeena #1 we set off in bright sunshine and the wind which had been blowing quite blustery all day subsided and it was a great night for caching. This little puzzle had me thinking I even typed in the Toolbox address but then the light came on and away I went and with the tick of approval we had GZ mapped. Just down the road from this one some Alpacas were grazing so we stopped and said Hi to the kids that were feeding them. At GZ this one had me stumped for a while and I was looking for a hanger for sure and oh yes I was right there it is. Nicely hidden that one 63ROOS FP from me on this one, Signed the log as FTF for my fifth in a row, really on a roll and beaming. Thanks again 63ROOS for a great series.
