There was no log in the cache but think I replaced it Usually I’d make a note of that.

On my drive from Murgon to Hervey Bay this morning, I wanted this cache for a particular attribute.

The container is quite weak on this one. The inner container holding the log book is cracked and the log was very wet. I was still able to sign though.

Cache all good. Left our mark.

Our journey south begins, somewhat reluctantly as we have been enjoying the warm weather and we know it is still cold and wet in Victoria.
It was only a short journey from Maryborough to Kilkivan but some well placed caches with good parking enabled us to collect caches on the way. There was only one we had to pass as we could not find a place to pull up. Lots of traditionals, but good sizes and in great condition.
On arrival at Kilkivan we set up camp and had some lunch before heading off to complete the Adventure Lab in town. Then is was off up one of the trails on Mudlo Road through the National Park and beyond. Some great countryside and worth the trip. Again good sized caches in the main in good condition. We got to use our TOTT we are becoming more proficient with but missed one that seemed to be gone.
A big day again, so we both should sleep well tonight!

No 4G so cache disappeared from app. Still had the distance to zero in on. Found.

I think I found the correct cache... it doesn’t quite line up with the description... and here is where the app stopped working... luckily I had Geepeers loaded up and ready to go...

Because of the D/T combo I think I was expecting something different... tftc...

Time to get back down to business, hit the road & rack up some more smilies to spread warmth & happiness throughout the land.

We found ample parking just past the dead kangaroo.
A quick find for Mrs VC after face planting a large cobweb & having a bug fly into her face.

In the area today enjoying the drive along some country roads and to pick up a few more caches in the area and this was the first one of them.

I parked nearby and it was a short search and the cache was soon in hand and once the log was signed all was returned as found.

Found Travelling to Kilkivan for an overnight trip to attend the New Year event, this cache was collected on the way to the camp grounds.

After an early morning sunrise event it was a drive up to Kilkivan for a weekend event.
This will be my first event of this type so I am not sure what to expect but I’ve been told they are fun and educational, OK.
Today’s kick off was 10am so this gave me a few hours to drive up and get a little caching in before the event started for me.

Driving along Wide bay highway I saw there was about 6 or so I could get to fill in some time before the event, this was one of those.

Thanks for the hide and with the log signed and cache replaced as found, I was onto the next one.

Found while on my way to ilKivan for the Newbie event. A nice easy find with enough parking for a Motorhome and trailer. TFTC.

My husband and I are on the way to carnorvan gorge and today our first stop was gayndah and on the way we were collecting some smileys. At gz it was a quick find. Thanks for taking me here and for placing this cache here for us to enjoy

Hervey Bay - Kilkevin
It was pouring with rain as we left Hevey Bay, as we moved from the coast the skys cleared & turned into a great day for caching.
Todays round trip was approximately 150ks, all in very quiet farming country side.
All had good co-ords which meant for easy finds.

Attending the Kilkivan event finding mostly newer caches with a few older ones in between. It was an early start after a peaceful sleep in the swag and awaking to a rowdy chorus of birds.

Possibly FTF? Lots of logs in the log book but many date before it was published. Some (the most recent in the book) listed as a beta tester.
Not sure if all previous logs were beta testers or if one of them is claiming FTF.

Visiting Kilkivan for the annual Cache-up event. Sweet-Sour kindly offered to chauffeur me around for the day. Who was I to refuse? My caching buddy is the CO, so I set about finding this one on my own. The cache was quickly located and the log signed. TFTC

A great opportunity to cache around Kilkivan. A selection of hides kept things interesting. Thanks to for hiding this cache and adding to our enjoyment of the area.

Heading home to Widgee with Selva Girls, forgot my meds when I went to the event at Kilkivan, good opportunity to collect them.
