Thank you for hosting this geocaching event! The date of the event has passed. We automatically archive events after 30 days (60 days for Mega- and Giga-Events). Attendees can still log archived events, log trackables, and share their experiences.
Very good turn out for the first day of the new decade. Those cookies were yummy too. Thanks for the event surefoot24.
I had been out finding a few caches further to the east in the morning and made a pretty late call to come by this event. Meant a fair bit of driving for the day but I knew I'd be able to get a hint for a cache near here than I DNF'd previously. I'd never made the New Year events in recent years so nice to tick this one off. Great to see a few familiar faces and meet some others that I hadn't bumped into before. Some great chats and yes, I did manage to tick off that nearby nemesis. Thanks for organising this event surefoot24.
01/01/2020 - 2.56pm to 4.00ish pm - No. 1045 - 1st & only for the day (although I was there with someone else who found 6 more that I had already found). Attended with You Can Do It 2 & her Non-Geo-husband.
Got where we needed to be & were pulling just as the CO & co were walking across from there car . We chatted, signed log, snacked, did some more chatting, commisserated with Zoe after her mishap on the bridge, did photos & the other 'normal' event stuff then headed back home via Woolamai & some more hunting for YKDI2 Thanks for another event at this location

Find #10817 {FTF}
Headed out again today with beckNmonts a little later than normal due to a later night last night. Aim was the event in Bass and anything we liked the look of along the way.
Finally got there, a little later than anticipated. I was lucky enough to win the FTF prize which was a bonus.
Happy New Year
Many thanks to surefoot24 for the cache. TNLN.

Another great tradition to start off the geocaching year! And a good time to start our New Year's resolution/challenge. 1000 caches in 1 year!

It had to expand its Search Radius!

I contacted Ceebee2013 after lunch and we decided we would head out to this event, with my hubby in tow. Lucky he came or who else would have taken event photos of all those geocachers present. A lovely quiet spot at Bass and an extremely pleasant day weather wise. I even one one of the raffle prizes, so a good day all around. TFTC Surefoot 24
I attended at 3:40 PM
A bit late to arrive as there were a couple of caches that I wanted to do and then found that there was no direct route to Bass! Also there was a little accident when Zoe fell off her bike while trying to going over the nearby bridge!
Another nice little gathering and nice to catch up with a few of the locals.
Thanks surefoot24

I was surprised and pleased at the number of teams that turned up to celebrate New Year and souvenir. These are great you live in an area which you’ve cached out! Particularly rural areas. Four rode in on bikes. I must put that attribute on the cache page for next year. I met another Phillip Island resident cacher, and a few friends from further away drove down from Melbourne. Thanks all for attending. Looks like it’ll be on again next year!
So can't make living in The eastern suburbs of Melbourne make some events on the eastern suburbs plz but I am very sry
