When we pulled up there was a herd of about 20 cows meandering right next to the car and also standing on the cache. We thought about just driving on but before we knew it we were in a Mexican stand-off.They werent moving and neither were we. Finally I mustered the courage to get out of the car and they shifted just enough for us to grab the hide. tftc

Dora the Explorer! and I whilst passing through Kilkivan we decided to find several caches that were placed on the 1st January to meet a Western Australia challenge. The challenge required the finding of 20 caches on the day that they were published or on its anniversary.These caches were handy because they were relatively close together. Most caches were in good order.TFTC

Today was all about efficiency as i embarked on a park and grab drive-by cache adventure along the power trail. The caches were lined up, waiting for eager geocachers like me to log my find. I stopped by this cache as part of a power trail adventure, and it was a quick and easy find. The cache was exactly where I expected it to be, thanks to the accurate coordinates. Thanks to the cache owner for placing this cache along the trail. It's a great addition to the power trail and made for a convenient stop on our geocaching journey. Trade: We didn't make a trade at this particular cache since it was more about the quick find and go. Trackable: We didn't find any trackables in this cache, but we'll keep an eye out for them as we continue our journey along the power trail. I dropped off a trackable. Quick Stop: This cache made for a perfect quick stop while on the power trail. We appreciate the convenience and the chance to add another find to our geocaching stats. Thanks to the cache owner for maintaining this cache. We're off to the next one along the power trail. Happy caching!

After spending the night in town and dining out at the local pub it was time to get out and do colorectal the local area. I am working on a local challenge at home that requires cache numbers in Local government areas and so I need another 80 or so in the Gympie area.This area is rich with caches so off I go. Arriving at ground zero I found a safe place to park the geowagon and off I go. I quickly found ground zero and located the cache. After extracting the log and making my mark I quickly returned to the geo wagon in search of my next adventure.A big thanks to the cache owner for making this cache available to be found.Cheers

Two from TASSIE out for a 10 week jolly including another stint at the Gympie Muster. Taking our time around the countryside. This looks like a hotspot around Kilkivan, and now the weekend is over the camp is very quiet. We’ll stay and log a few caches ! This is the 4th, although we did do the AdLab in town whilst getting coffee and visiting the butcher this morning. Very appropriate name for this cache although we didn’t twig until Mrs rhubarbroad almost became hung up on this hint. Tftc youngoldfella.

Muggle65 and I are after select caches today to help with a challenge. We are covering many miles and have bitten off more than we can chew. The scenery was beautiful and this is the first time I have been out here and everything is green. We really enjoyed our day out here. Thank you for the fun

Up early this morning & off to find the FTF unleashed by Team JLBL & like all those preceding us ?????? no luck finding this one!!! But we aren’t claiming an DNF, just accepting partial frustration.

?????? & I looked for what seemed forever unmolested by muggles at 8:30am in the morning.

So leaving that location we had more success down the road at the challenge caches ?????? and then off to Tiaro & onward to our main hunting ground in the Kilkivan area.

Starting our day before the sun came up, we finished it a couple of hours prior to the sun coming up the next day, Simply because a FTF opportunity came up just after we arrived home & had started to relax. So at Midnight we set off for a bicycle ride along the gateway to finally claim a FTF for the day?? or was that for tomorrow???
Don’t care!!! Going home to sleep ?? sleep ?? ?? ??.

TFTC. Day 2 of our trip to Kilkivan for the Mid Year event. After completing the caches on MUlo Roda we turned our attention to the other side of town . There was a strip of unfound caches heading up Oakview Rd which beckoned. Again good co-ordinates made the job relatively easy.
Heading back toward town and detoured to find this and the other one close by

Now I get the cache name... a quick find... tftc...

Time to get back down to business, hit the road & rack up some more smilies to spread warmth & happiness throughout the land.
Knocking up the numbers doesn't hurt either!
Kilkivan & surrounds were our target areas this run.

Visiting the area for a few days and took time out to grab a few caches and this was one of them. Good coords and most caches were found easily enough and once the log was signed all was returned as found.

Found on my last day at Kilkivam and the evet held in the show grounds. TFTC.

After an early morning sunrise event it was a drive up to Kilkivan for a weekend event. This is my first event of this type so I am not sure what to expect but I’ve been told they are fun and educational, ok. Today’s kick off was 10am so this gave me a few hours to drive up and get a little caching in before the event started for me.

At the event I teamed up with Willis007 and Ms maddy (who drove) to spend the afternoon collecting a few caches and a few first to finds. Armed with a list and some new coordinates we set off for the afternoon of caching. We had a plan of attack in mind and it turned out to be a good afternoon of caching with a variety of cache sizes, hides and ratings; thank you to the CO’s for the placements of these. Sorry for the generic post for this lot but we did approximately 90 caches around the area.

There were no DNF’s and all caches were found in good order and in close proximity to the given coordinates and or hints. I enjoyed today's caching, thank you.

In Kilkivan for the New Year event, a great opportunity to catch up with caching buddies and meet some new faces.
After setting up at the showgrounds CHAMAD and myself jumped into Ms Maddy's super comfy car and headed out to find some newly published caches along with some tried and true oldies.
A great day spent out and about, enjoying the beautiful country side.
The cache was quickly spotted, log signed and all replaced as found.

We enjoyed the many caches we did along these backroads, the countryside being a lot dryer than we expected.
The caches were generally typically roadside caches.

I found your cache with my Dad, Oddiewan and most of the time, Semik. I am way behind on logging so learned how to use templates so I can catch up. Geocaching with my main squeeze, Oddiewan, my best friend, Moneydork and Oddiewan's sons BitternA4 and occassionally Flash_Cat (he bowed out about halfway, but I didn't mark where we took him back to camp) Oddiewan was on a mission and achieved his 400th and 500th finds on this caching trip. I was happy just to see his excitement of reaching his next milestone.
