After being summoned to the area with instructions to bring a ladder for a nearby cache, we headed back towards home, collecting caches along the way.Quick find here
Thanks for a fun find, the kids found it no problems. Thanks for a great cache. Had to head home so we'll need to come back another day to hit them all.
Find # 16084Down in Melton to hit up some caches and Adventure Labs. But main reason was to go motorbike helmet shopping. After checking out a couple of bike shops in Melton, I headed around town grabbing ad labs. But then decided to head to Keilor to check out a few more bike shops... With shopping done I headed back to my original plan, "cache around Melton", hitting up The Toolern Vale Triangle and the Merry Bush Christmas trails and what ever other caches came up on the GPS. All caches found had no issues. It was great to be on some back tracks and make finds in an area I've had my eye on for some time now. TFTC Benjamin Screamer
Out on the road with Mrs Cogs in the PeuGEOt to do a series of caches in the Toolern Vale area. TFTC

Another great series in this area. Collected all these today. Great fun containers and hides. Thanks.
A beautiful evening to check on my caches in the Merry Bush Christmas series, and to visit with a Christmassy TB. Happy travels!
Another good quick find and I was soon signing the log. A good drive along here, very peaceful.Thank again Benjamin Screamer. TB dropped.
Found by Mary and David at 12:50. In recent years we have had a Secret Santa arrangement for the family adults. This one snug and dry. Our thanks to Benjamin Screamer.
Team_Riley taking our kids for the first time in years. Our 6yr old sons first geocaching experience.TFTC
12:28"Intervening Days" the pause between Christmas and New Year! After attending The Intervening days CITO 2023 and Intervening Days (Revisited) XV Events, we had the time to seek out a number of Bush Christmas caches we had previously missed.Satellites today had our GZ 6m south of where we found the cache. Thanks to Benjamin Screamer for hiding caches for significant dates. 36269
After a day hiking around Mount Sugarloaf we stopped off at this series on the way home. Merry Christmas and thanks for the cache!
Drove up to Ballarat for a Double Significant Morning tea, some AdLabs, and a few Xmas caches on the way home. A lovely day to be out caching..I just noticed this little run of caches when the TDOC23 cache was put out. Today I made a clean sweep of them, a nice Xmas present.I was hoping this wasn't one up the tree! Fortunately it was easily found. Thanks, Robmc.
We set off for a half day of TDOC23 caches over west which ended up being a full day of including other caches and we didn't get home till 7pm lol As we were heading this way we decided to look up to see what COTY22 nominees were in the area as well. We saw this series was on the way to the TDOC23 cache so we stobbed to grab these too.

I had a number of plans for today's geocaching run. They included :-
20 caches in Macedon Ranges LGA.
12+ caches in Moorabool LGA.
12+ caches in Melton LGA.
CITO, Event and Tree Attribute in new LGA.
2002 old geocache.
And most importantly - Geodetic Survey Way Point.
Not sure about Melton & Moorabool LGA numbers, will have to recheck LGA borders but had a great day with 41 finds in total, in lots of different environments. Highlight would have to be Mt Macedon.
Thanks for the cache Benjamin Screamer

had run out of time on my last trip in the area and decided to return today to complete this series. With Cachemas on the way it was the perfect time to get into the spirit.
The road was a little busier than expected, but I suspect there was a gathering occurring at a nearby property.
2019 was the year I had properly started geocaching and if I recall correctly I even swung past one of the local skate parks after lunch to grab a sneaky cache.
Thanks Benjamin Screamer for adding this cache to the worldwide collection for us all to enjoy.

We just got back from overseas yesterday and the countries visited had hardly any caches, so we are well behind in this month's wheel of challenge. So, a huge day of caching: ad labs, trads and of course hunting out those with lots of favourite points. A great series down a quiet and safe road.
I was only just made aware of this series so it was great to be in the area and able to find them all . . . . so far. It is a rather wet day but we managed to find everything without getting wet. It is a really lovely area that you have brought us to. Thanks for showing us this lovely are with these caches.
Headed out west with Geoturtle37 to attend a cito and to do a bit of scooter caching. The day started with black clouds and heavy rain en route, but soon turned into sunshine, albeit a tad chilly.
Thanks for bringing us here by placing this cache, Benjamin Screamer

Out with Boabtree, we had a lovely day caching in the Toolern Vale area.
Happy Christmas to all. A quick find here. Thanks Benjamin Screamer.

A nice hide for this one, i did the series a little out of order to avoid a couple of dog walkers so this is the last of it for me. I am so glad a swung past and found them all. Thanks for your work.
The Trip
I think the stars have finally aligned for a two night trip, caching and camping along the Great Dividing Range. It seems that every time i have planned a caching trip in the last six months something has come up to thwart my plans or cut my trip short. I have high hopes that this week it will be perfect.
I started at Moorabool Reservoir and will be collecting caches from there in the direction of Riddells Creek although i have a lot to find so am unlikely to make it that far. The weather is glorious and there is a cool lilt in the air which makes for a pleasant change from home, and the shady forests are vibrant.
Champagne caching!

Find #2945 for me. Found at 12:33 pm with my dog Bonnie after attending the Intervening Days event in Melton. This was another quick find along the trail. Thanks for the festive series and the cache Benjamin Screamer!

I had headed to Melton today to attend the Intervening Days (Revisited) XIV event but with a bit of time up my sleeve, I decided to go a little bit further North to find a few other caches in the area, this being one of them.
**Thanks to Benjamin Screamer for placing this cache.**

Watch out for the swarm of mozzie living in the gz nook! Wondering if they are hiding out here from the heat today.
Decided to take a Christmas trip through the years along this long dirt road. Judging by the length of it, you've got another 20 + on it. I look forward to starting a tradition of returning every christmas to nab the next iteration.
I'm continuing to enjoy all the hiding spots you seem to find and I'm honestly blessed to have these long arms of mine.
6 quick park and grabs for all the years but I found myself chilling out at times admiring how beautiful this part of greater Melton is. Would love myself to have a property out here one day.
Thanks BenjaminScreamer.

We have arrived in Melbourne to attend the MEGA Event at Whittlesea, so of course we came over a few days before to do some geocaching first!
woolwood9 and I had a good time and this was a cache we located.
This area had seen a lot of rain, all the grass was wet and some large areas of flooding.

On my north via Melton towards Gisborne as there seems to be quite a few caches for me to find so heading via the Merry Bush Christmas series and the Triangular ones. Really enjoyed my detour through this area TFTC Benjamin Screamer
