Our second fishing cache of the day but was unable to locate. It was blowing a gale which I'm role is supposed to make it easier to spot but not today. Thanks anyway
Day #2. I have had WAGB, and caching in WA, on my todo list for some time. I contemplated booking in earlier in the year but couldnt commit. Two weeks ago I decided I might just be able to make it work. So a mad scramble began. Last minute flights, accommodation and cache plans - tick, tick, tick! After being awake for almost 24hrs yesterday, I enjoyed a good nights rest and it is time to go again. Focusing on some caches and LGAs north of the river today, this is just one of the many great caches found. After the effort to spot some of the previous caches, this was at last an easy one with a super quick retrieval.A big thanks goes to fratra for taking the time to add Suburban 'FISHING' - Green to the geocaching map for us all to find and enjoy.----------------------------------------------------------Wow! The fun just never stops.Have you logged your will attend for Victoria's first ever Block Party? (Think Mega but even more special!)Join us on 22-23 March 2025 in Sunbury to celebrate 25 years of geocaching by logging your will attend at [**GCAP417**](https://coord.info/GCAP417).
Passing through the area on a wet winters day, so why not do some fishing. Zero stealth with all the passing traffic. Cache and log were found in good condition. Performed signing duties and returned cache as found. Thanks @fratra for placing Suburban 'FISHING' - Green for the GC community to find !!
Found and have a fishing pole but large road maintenance crew parked here and watching me. Couldn't sign the log
Oh my gosh. What an effort. Stealth mode=non existent but perseverance level 10/10. We got there in the end after many ant attacks, hot and windy conditions and about 5 million attempts to make our pole long enough. In the end it was a telescopic pole + a modified telescopic back scratcher + our $100 golf umbrella and a strong magnet combined with a shit tonne of tape, standing on the car and a 511 person stretched out to the max. We really had fun doing this one, so many laughs and no doubt gave a lot of muggles something to talk about. Log signed and cache replaced. Thanks for placing this for our enjoyment whilst making memories Tftc.
Met up with ILT for a caching foray south of the river. Beautiful day to be out in the suburbs. Quickly spotted, retrieved, signed and replaced. Thanks fratra
Find 1 of 24 on a bike ride starting at Tom Bateman Reserve, heading along the Canning River including a lunch stop at the cafe then back on a loop through Ferndale and Lynwood, trying to clear the map. Even managed a couple of fishing caches by arranging to have the car nearby. Finished by avenging three pesky PF DNFs. Many thanks to all the COs but especially PF and team FraTra for putting out so many high quality hides.
Parked under this one practically and the light was just right for a quick spot. Mrs O wielded the big stick.
TFTC fratra!

First of all a shout out to fratra for the lending of the appropriate tool for this cache..managed to avoid the threatening clouds and recover the cache here..it was in great condition and the log was signed quickly tftc
Was going past the area and wanted to have a look for this one quickly before getting here and realising that I do not have the tools needed, haha.
I had a quick look to see what I’m dealing with and couldn’t find it. Will have to come back with a pole and a taller friend to have a second look!

Day 1 of serious caching in Perth today. My main task was to find challenge caches which I will check if I qualify when I get home. After this I attacked a few pole caches which I was looking forward to.
Tftc.
Cache has lost its green colour, only a light shade now of green. Luckily I spotted the cache quickly, but had to get around to another spot to grab it down. Tftc.

Today we went on a fishing trip with ilook4geo and scored a good sized catch. There are plenty more still to be caught but this was one that was snagged without any problem. The container was retrieved and both names were added to the log and all was then replaced where it was found. Thanks for this cache go to fratra.
Enjoyed some tree fishing together with goingplaces2, even though the day was very windy. This one was soon located and retrieved. Signing duties were quickly done, all was hoisted up again and it was time to move on. TFTC.
Was passing with The better half so decided to see how we went with this one after failure at the other fishing cache nearby. This one we saw immediately and the cache was soon recovered, the log signed and the cache returned to where it came from.
Thanks fratra for placing this cache for us to find.

Bit of a saga here. Car park was deserted which looked promising. I managed to spot the fish in under 5 minutes which must be a PB for me. I was walking the short distance back to the car when I saw a woman approaching. It was clear she needed assistance. As the story unfolded, I phoned multiple numbers she had written on a scrap of a beer carton trying to get her the help she needed. No one seemed willing or able to help. I got full disclosure from her…one number was for a lady who’d let her sleep in her car the other day, another for someone from her mob, …. the *insert bad word* man from the servo who wouldn’t help…..you get the idea. She wanted to be driven somewhere but I declined giving her a lift. The weather looked like it was going to turn so I suggested she take cover near the baseball entry and I jumped in my car and drove off. After a lengthy fishing expedition down the road (which saw me constantly looking over my shoulder in case she was following me!), I returned here. There was a work van parked near the entry to the baseball and no sign of the woman so I returned to my parking spot and got my rod ready. Just as I was about to fish the woman reappeared!!…. thankfully for me she headed to the house looking structure nearby. I hooked the fish, and got it back up on record time, jumped back in my car and fled the scene. I may be a self proclaimed snob, but I am pleased that I have never had such an experience where I live since I lack confidence in difficult situations. Had MDV been present, I would gladly have transported her but I’m too much of a weakling to offer defence if needed. Anyway, thanks for the hide and the easy hook.
Needed to get the twins out of the house for a bit today so decided to head fishing again as they missed out getting a find last week.
It was Mr T who spotted this cache and I undertook the retrieval explaining what I was doing so each of the boys could have a go later in the day.
—————
What was initially intended to be a morning out caching ended up being a whole day out with the two-twins collecting a number of fishing caches before heading to Freo to end our day out.
We managed 10 finds and 0 DNF’s today.
—————
Thanks fratra for placing this cache for me to find, this is find number 2665 for me.

We saw this one and knew exactly what we needed. Out came the pole and we got it down, logged and back up in record time.
We don't this end ( photo)works a treat as it doesn't hook or jam itself in the tree.

Some of the fishing ones have been a bit tricky to spot. No such problem here. Nice and quiet, made a quick catch and signed the log. It was too small so i put it back. TFTH
Today was the day to find the unfound fishing caches in the Home zone.
After finding the right tree Mr.x made a quick cache.
Thanks for the fun team fratra

We had seen a number of these new style fishing caching so on the next trip to town we organised to borrow a fishing pole. (Thanks Everlasting!). We soon got the hang of this fishing type with a joint FTF at the new Rural Fishing.
Some of the hides where certainly hard to spot and a few difficult to get down through the other branches. A couple even had us on our tippy toes.
We completed the signing duties and re hid. TFTC.

Today I headed out with the geoson and Kapelula in the aim of collecting solved puzzles and some fishing Pole caches.
This one took us longer to put back then retrieve but we got there in the end. Tftc

Headed out early with Mr OOH YEH to try and clear up a pile of caches waiting to be found on the map. Started the day off with a spot of fishing and after a lot of neck stretching all fish were found except one that we just couldnt spot. Continued on to do the Jurrassic park series and a few other traditionals, a multi and a couple of puzzle caches. All in all a good day with only 1 DNF and some very novel containers. TFTC
Not being the proud owners of requisite tott, we had no choice but to let these elevated caches go begging. Then, upon retirement(technically holidays and LSL until June), the first task on the agenda was to declutter the house. During this process, a golf ball retriever was discovered in a back room closet. (a birthday present never used so was in the OUT pile until discovery that it actually extends to at least 5m. A plan was hatched and with a little fiddling, an extra 1 + half m was added. Yes. These caches were now within reach and have been dutifully signed. Beautifully crafted and actually fun to find with a very wobbly tool. This was number one. TFTC, Fratra
Visiting Perth for the weekend and decided an early morning fish would be rewarding. TFTC
Was sitting at home this arvo wondering if I should try and get the Goodbye 2019 souvenir when I remembered that I had got a 'fishing pole' for Christmas. Well that settled 2 'Suburban Fishing' caches less than 3 k's from home and the decision was made.
Spotted quickly but still needed the step ladder to make the retrieval. Not sure what the passing motorists thought I was up to.
fratra I found your cache at 6:24pm, this was the 2nd of 2 finds for me today and brings my total find count to 5905. The cache was in good order and I replaced it as found.

Chauffeuring neva2old around as she has broken her ankle, forgot how much the kids like to treasure hunt and how much I like driving mums 4wd. Getting the hang of these types of caches but they are still hard to retrieve with a 6 year old wanting to help tftc
This one didn’t take to long to find and dkla.vk did the honors of retrieving the cache and preforming signing duties. Thanks Frsnk and Tracy fit the hide and keeping us entertained ,
With iluvtrekking for the day - start early morning before getting hot.
We enjoyed search, found and signed the log as EV + ILT.
Thanks for the cache and hunt.

With a forecast of 40degrees, we limited our caching trip with Everlasting to the park and dash type of cache. We parked in the very convenient carpark and looked up. It was not long before the cache was spotted and retrieved. Thanks, for the cache fratra.
Once the weather cooled down a bit, C10 gave me a ring as he wanted to try a few of the local suburban fishing caches.
I had just woken from a nap and decided to that we would leave the puzzle ones for another day but would grab the four traditionals that had been published.
Made short work of three and had a bit of a catastrophe at the other. Got there in the end.
Thanks fratra.

I was desperate to nab a December FTF before leaving the country, and a bunch got published today, but they were all fishing caches. I ended up driving 30mins to Kelmscott to grab B12’s rod so I could grab these caches. Met up with Tiger777 and away we went.
