Day 2 of our trip to WA to attend WAGB and touristy stuff and finding caches in LGA's we haven't previously cached in.Unless otherwise noted, cache is in good condition. We couldn't open this one, but contacted CO who will check it.TFTC SL TB's visited
by the thousands and play with no 6 . Thanks Deputy Washawa for this adventure Tftc
TFTC 1st one for today were enjoying going around the area, but sadly we cant buy any fresh fruit as were going back to SA tomorrow. They would be so fresh not like in the shops
No sign of fruit fly here today, but lots of ants have made their home here instead. That is probably considerably better than fruit fly!Just a few caches today in the local area as re recover from big days on the Paddle Steamer.Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache Washawa.**SKI Pair****
Thanks to Washawa for this cache. The container is overloaded with ants busy making their next in the container. Thanks for this hide. The ants are loving it by the looks.
TFTC out on the geoscooter with Algae on his geoeuc grabbing some smilies in the Mildura area. Decided to have breakfast in Mildura then hit some caches. A great day out. Thousands of ant guardians in those one. Watch out.
Stopped by to get this cache as i was leaving Mildura and on my way to Millicent. Thank you for placing and maintaining this cache.
Ugh. Ants have taken over. What do you expect when you invite them to a picnic! Very clever cache. Nicely done. Here with kiwisteve2 on our way home after an epic road trip that included the Ballarat Geotour and the Adelaide Great Leap Forward event plus some other sightseeing along the way. Stopped into the Flinders Ranges and spotted some yellow footed rock wallabies just as we stopped for a cache!TFTC
Tftc Deputy Washawa, on our way through to SA we made a stop here to look for your cache. All was in good condition.
Stopped for the amount of fav points. Nice to see a field puzzle. quick find/solve.Out with Mogni for a 3 day weekend, leaving friday morning and coming back sunday night. The plan was to go to Cowangie in Victoria and then head in to Murray-Sunset National Park then head on to Mildura and come back via Rufus River road ( in New South Wales ) to South Australia. Night 1 was in the Murray-Sunset National Park at Mopoke Hut camp ground and Night 2 at Mildura then going back to Adelaide. It must have rained recently in Murray-Sunset since the sand wasn't like fine power as expected and other sections of the National park had bypass tracks around the water filled ruts in the main track. Going around one of the bypass tracks i staked a tyre on the friday but didn't notice it to saturday morning. The stake went right beside the tread and the inside wall of the tyre, the stake was the size of my finger tip. Also turns out that i got a screw in my rear tyre thrusday night leaving work. There was alot of reinflating tyres this trip. The flora change in the national park was surprising but i figured that is due to weather or not the ground was sandy or muddy. When we got to Mildura we targeted the 2 multi's mogni wanted to do and of course they were the ones with 7 and 11 stages. After that we targeted the caches with high amount of favourite points and then left the next day via New South Wales so we could get the virtual at Lake Victoria and some of the older 2003 around the border track. A good weekend away 4x4ing.
Sir_spectre and I decided we needed to get away for a few days, so off to Murray Sunset NP and Mildura we went. Not a huge number of caches were found, but we had a great time exploring the NP. We fixed anything we could. Thanks to Washawa from mogni
On our way to Mildura and noticed the signs reminding us to dispose of any fruit we had on board. Its been over two decades since either of us had been in this neck of the woods and thought you only needed to do this when crossing the border. Nevertheless, we pulled over at the designated drop zone and bid farewell to our beautiful Roma tomatoes.By pure coincidence, this cache happened to be the next on our to-do list! Great cache which made up for the loss of our tomatoes:)Thanks Washawa.
So where are all the old bins? Nice stand.
Found on a sojourn all around on the way to QOGM 2023. A fun jaunt with lots of dust, mud and starry skies.

Southern Autumn adventure Day 50. Mid North section of SA trip Day 21. Mount Barker 1. Today and the next two days are really transitional to me getting to Mildura in time to do the Paddle Steamer with friends from Canberra. In the meantime I had a day around Mount Barker area today. There was light rain on and off, but it was not much of a problem. I tried to find the multi's I worked out the numbers for yesterday and had a load more caches on the list that went from smoothly to very problematic. I had to skip a whole section as the only access road we being re-surfaced. It was a long and quite difficult day at times, but with that comes a sense of achievement with what was found. I finished the day with dinner in the pub in town and had a great night !
Thanks for the cache Washawa

Another cache find on our 2022 South Australian Adventure, yes I know we have wandered over the border. Never mind, It is a wonderful day and we have joined forces with FelixII so we are off to see what we can find. And we found a very nicely constructed cache. Thanks to all the COs for taking us on this geo-guided tour.
Travelling from Werrimull to Lake Wooroonook, I saw that there was a Washawa cache on the way. I love a nice big cache and this CO puts a lot of work into the cache design. This masterpiece did not disappoint.
If that is what fruit flies do to fruit then I know why we are trying to keep them out of the Riverland. Another fun cache. TFTC
Sprouting from the heart of Victoria's fruit bowl in the Goulburn Valley, catnap777 and I know all about the perils of a fruit fly outbreak.
On close inspection at GZ though, we found no evidence of any such contamination here.
TFT(Large)C Deputy Washawa.
The Generic Bit.....
Leaving for our overnight accomodation in Horsham Thursday arvo straight after work, our loopy loop trip from Tatura to the Community Celebration Event in Mildura had begun. We took the long way.
Cat' and I were chasing a few older caches and a few large ones, but mostly caches in different counties and road map pages for challenges, so we travelled as far West as Bordertown before taking a right and travelling through Pinnaroo and Loxton to get there. Before hitting Mildura though, we made time to tickle the tip of Victoria for it's Northern most cache before taking on the Border Track then on to the event in Mildura and down towards Ouyen before heading for home next morning via SwanHill in time for work Sunday arvo.

Found and signed with dalerious as we were staying in a motel up the road and felt like some night caching before we headed back home tomorrow . This little set of Deputy Washawa caches were a treat . Loved the novel containers. Thanks for the fun on a beautiful winters night.
The Trip
We talked about planning this odyssey months ago, but put the finishing touches to the plan in the last couple of weeks.
We were hoping to undertake two challenges. One was to log a cache in as many counties in Victoria, South Australia and New South Wales as we possibly could, as well as logging caches that were placed on the pages of the UBD Victorian Road Atlas as well.
dalerious got to work strategically picking caches that we needed. No easy task, but he is so adept at it. I get the car and supplies ready, and drive.
We had only 2 full days to do all this in, as well as an event to attend to in Mildura.
Quite an ask, but yet again dalerious and I not only marked of all the caches we had on our list, but we were lucky enough to add more.
We had an awesome time away travelling around hop, skipping and jumping from one state to the next. With the exception of hitting one Kangaroo, no damage to the Hilux or us thank goodness, I loved driving around this beautiful area.
Next big trip Tasmania........ Bring it on!

This is a great cache but there is a huge ants nest in the middle and probably needs maintenance
I see the CO has been here last week, but the cache was almost impossible to touch!
I’m having this week off as others at work had the Easter break off so it was my turn and another trip up North to Mildura was planned.
I was able to leave Melbourne nice and early to get a few caches in on the way up to Culgoa.
So after a great feed and a couple of beers and of course great accomodation at the Kaneira Hotel I headed up towards Mildura to see how many I could find in the Paddle Steamer series.
I managed to find 115 and 165 in the last couple days but the uni joint in my right knee has finally said enough is enough with all of the getting in and out of the Geocruiser so it is time to spend a casual day around Mildura.
I got up nice and early to attend the Dawn Service at the park and it was great to see so many people there paying their respects.
After a wander around town and then completing the Turtle series which was the second reason why I came back up to Mildura it was time to keep my wandering around.
So after crossing the mighty Murray river for a few and then crossing back again so now I’m back on home soil.
So this will definitely be the last cache for the day as the sun was setting and after such a big day I was getting hungry but I don’t think that I will be eating any fruit from near here.
Plenty of other bugs have made this cache their home.
Another great cache container from this very talented CO.
Thanks Deputy Washawa TFTC

A very impressive cache. It took me a day to work out what really happened.
The cache was found in the first place we looked. Thanks for placing a fun cache guys. We do love your work. We signed the logbook. Of course we did that is way we play this game. Cache in pretty good condition for the cache age.
I will apologize right now, because everything from here on is here solely for the purpose of padding the word count.

Well apparently it is no longer a FF free zone!
A nice set up and a nice surprise when opened - looks like there is more than just FF activity in there as there are some other insects that have left their mark!
Thanks Washawa.

#12982 - 5:31:00 PM; Day 3 of the Wang Mega tour with Sol de lune. We didn't quite get to Echuca last night, but we did enjoy comfortable accommodation and a great meal at the Falcon Hotel on the highway right next door to the Downunder Dunny. After collecting that cache, we set off for Echuca and a spot of caching in and around the town, avenging a couple of GCA DNFs from our previous visit. We then hit the Murray Valley Highway again as we headed west before turning onto the Mallee Highway near Piangil, then the Calder Highway at Ouyen for our next overnight destination, Mildura. No problems getting our names into the log of this good sized cache, before continuing on our mission. TFTC Deputy Washawa
After a couple of great days in and around Wang at the Mega, followed by a drive to Echuca, LuckyL10n and I were now on the road from Echuca to Mildura. The plan today was to stop for a few selected caches...those that looked good, those with a few favourtie points..as well all the regular and large caches we could find.
Left Echuca around 9.30am, arriving in Mildura around 6.00pm. All caches we attempted were found, apart from the one that was completely burnt out, so all up a good road trip. Now home
and it's time to log.
Thanks to all owners the along the way, and apologies for the generic log.
