Interest, lucky, quick find. A large piece of rubbish drew my attention to a familiar cache container. TFTC
Tftc. Quick find once at the right level. Iffy parked near the front door of this beautiful old building and made our way around.
Found it thanks to a muggle friend who saw us from their bedroom acting sus and knows about geocaching... tftc.
A bit pressed for time on a morning run so couldn't do this justice unfortunately.
Caching around Canberra for a while longer. TFTC. Tried to find in the dark but just couldn't. Today in the daylight found in 5 seconds .
all the clues make perfect sense once you actually know where to look. done slightly too into the night for it to be particularly easy TFTC!!
Over here for Capital GeoBash Mega. One of many hidden caches all over the city and surrounds for Mega Day weekend. Night caching of 11 finds & one AL set. This could be quite an awkward find in such a spot - good thing that muggles are fast asleep, TFTC
During our weeks trip with Bare Foot Guru, Infoferret and Trinity to the Canberra Mega we logged as a combination of "BFG, CF, BIC, BITC" depending on who we were caching with at the time. The trip took us on a flight to Melbourne first, then a drive to Canberra, followed by a drive to Sydney before flying out again. Where possible I will add commentary to each find about the cache. Thanks for all the caches, hides and effort put into hiding and maintaining them.First cache of the day and nicely hidden.
I'm sure we looked very suspicious frolicking in the bushes at 11pm! Glad we did though as we found this cache. The log is completely full but we have added a few pieces of fresh paper to keep it going for a bit longer. *The generic bit*Travelled up form Northern Victoria to attend the GeoBash Mega in Canberra. We started geocaching just before the Easter Mega event in Rutherglen last year and will celebrate our 1000th find at this Mega. Thanks to the organisers, sponsors, volunteers and all the COs who make these events a great success.
*** draft log for stats tracking, more later ***GC8H765 Havelock's Haunt31 March 2024T08:30:34 AEDTTFTC ecoathleteThe boys are off on the trams. Quick find of the random placement beside a discarded armchair. Log full.
Unfortunately, we did not find this cache during the Mega event, as it was the last one of the day and it was dark. I think it's time to stop looking for more caches, and rest and recover for the next day. To The Farmers 5, thank you so much for placing it for everyone to enjoy and for highlighting this area. ??
Tried a couple of GZ options before realising where I should be. Tricky use of camouflage. TFTC!
Not a quick find but got there eventually after a PAF. Thanks, ecoathlete!
( geowife) just a quick find but was a little lost had to call up my geofriend for a little help then found at the end RIP little bunny that was few metres from GZ TFTC
A bit of a search here, which took longer than we thought it would.Previous logs were worth reading and helped with the find. Thanks ecoathleteDomsky
#4363 Began my search in a particular area but I had a hunch which I followed and proved to be correct. Not to say that I spotted it straight away but it did turn out to be right there looking out at me.Thanks ecoathlete for the cache.
DNF for this one, trying to do some caches around the ACT Area, down for short break from Newcastle We looked at all the likely spots you would/could hide a cache around near GZ, also looked at previous logs for any hints. . ecoathlete. Attempted to find this at 7:15PM on this Tuesday the 10th of October in the year 2023
A lot of flies and a sneaky cache I wasnt expecting but pleasantly surprising to find. Tftc
This was part of the evening caching hunt. Our day could be sliced into three sections: morning Geo bash tour, afternoon scooter-caching around lake burley griffin, and then night caching after dinner.
OCW cherryfromtheblock.
This was one I had looked for before but did not find and I know why. I had the complete wrong idea. Today we read some previous logs that had us in exactly the right spot and cherryfromtheblock found it immediately. Nice to check this one off the map TFTC

This one took my muggle friend and me two trips and a good 20 minutes of searching! Nicely hidden! TfTC
Doing some caching in the area, but was unable to make the find. There just seemed to be too many hiding spots, and couldn’t really have a good look as a few people starting gathering around the entrance. Will definitely be back to avenge this one!
Couldn’t find it yesterday after 15 minutes of peering and prodding.
Today, two minutes and the cache was in hand.

Found It!
I tried this one from both sides before realising there was a third option. That soon resulted in a find!

I had an appointment for vaccinations at the travel doctor in Civic this afternoon and knowing that parking can be a pain, I took a scooter an e-scooter. After the appointment, and suffering from the significant disappointment that only kids get a lolly-pop, I decided to check out a nearby cache.
On arrival at GZ I looked at a couple of options but felt very conspicuous. I paused to read a few logs and soon realised I was in the wrong location. Once that was corrected, I very soon had the cache in hand. There are a few 'hints' in previous logs that I found misleading, so beware!

We used to visit this place with my mum when she would visit a friend that lived here. We would enjoy a meal and then get lost in the corridors playing hide and seek. Great memories. Thanks for hiding and maintaining this cache ecoathlete
Thanks to Runner5ive for sneaking around to do the hunt. Hints helped but still took a little while.
In the area for caching with Aramil_au, thinking it would be quiet on Good Friday. It was actually quite busy at Lonsdale, despite public holiday - most places were still open for food. Went past here, I got between the hedges and searched for longer than I feel I should’ve… the cache was located but not quite where the coords had me. Maybe the cache moved, maybe it’s my phone, but it was there. TFTC
Found on 70 day of finding caches in a row.
Found where we thought it would be, decrypted the clue. Found cache soon after. Cool hide. Nice hint.

Second time here, through the bushes but still no find. The coords had me over the bike shed. Time for help while in CBR for a few days and staying up tye strèt.
I’ve tried this one before and failed to find it as I was in the wrong place.
This time we read the description and the hint and that greatly increased our chances before my muggle friend put his hand on the cache.
Love these types.

After some hard finds in Alice Springs I came straight to this one. Nice sneaky cache .... it’s all there in the clues. TFTC.
A few caches after work on the way home, very fun in nice weather but I regretted not going straight this time. .
Quick find being back and it helped that I knew what kinds of container I was looking for, all in good order. I had missed this one last time I guess as I was not tuned to look for such.
Thank you ecoathlete for putting the cache out and maintaining it.

Great hide!
Enjoyed the hunt for this while trying not to look suspicious!
(Forgot to bring a pen, pic to log)

Had a great day with Aquilus1 meandering around Canberra finishing multi's, grabbing new trads, even got a few FTFs along the way. The rain stayed away as well, bonus.
I used to work just up the road, but never found it until today

Not quite sure what I was looking for but couldn't find. Pretty sure I accented to the right level but still no lick.
Took a while to figure out where exactly I was meant to be, but found it after that. Very sneaky hide though! TFTC!
21,275. Found during a caching meander around Canberra with albida33.
Today we headed out targeting a few select caches covering off various challenges that we are all trying to qualify for. This one I had tried before with no luck, but with a nice quiet Sunday arvo available I stayed until I found the little blighter.
Thanks ecoathlete !!

Ran out of time to look today,I'm pretty sure I was in the right spot but just couldn't find the sneaky little thing for the life of me, I'll be back soon to try again
Found with Contesta, MASEK786, Marmaduke and Betty Rothschild on a chilly Canberra morning. TFTC
Found to-day whist doing a puzzle cache with Contesta, Masek786 and Magilla71. TFTC.
Before having dinner in Braddon with my best mate, we decided to try out this nearby cache. Funnily enough, we both tried it after dinner back in summer on a night where the smoke was terrible; we had one of the residents speak to us that night about what we were doing and we had a nice chat about geocaching. Tonight, after another very lengthy search with no luck, we decided to message the CO for a hint - let's just say, like a previous finder, we got very quick and very *direct* help! I can't believe we didn't figure out this hide much earlier, very clever and very funny; the hints and logs all make sense now! What a fun night - TFTC ecoathlete!
Codawives and I were at our wits end trying to find this little bugger. Message sent to CO and we got a very quick and helpful reply. All is good with the cache. Favourite point from me for ingenuity
Crystal Warrior and I headed out to finish a Lab Cache that took us from the City to Mitchell. With that done we focused on some interesting caches in the area.
Thankfully the description and hint were helpful in narrowing down the location and reducing our "dwell time" here! Nice find after seeing 2 DNFs! Thanks....

Couldn’t find it! Followed the hints and thought we were in the right place but no luck this time. Will have to come back!
IMO this deserves at least a D2 or 2.5 rating as it is quite a sneaky little GZ location, and the cache is also well hidden an camouflaged!
Searched in the wrong spot for about 5-10 minutes before doing further investigation. Was soon in a better looking location but still spent another 5 minutes until I spotted the hide!
Thanks ecoathlete, quite an interesting little location and hide, never even knew this building existed either. It is very hidden from Northbourne with the hedges, and is also at a lower elevation which conceals it even more! So thanks for bringing me here!

Ah ha, the mottled sunlight made this a tad difficult to spot but there it was. Tftc Now back to waitng for the geogranny
#9974 - 12:39:00 PM; After spending most of January on an island to the south, it was time to catch up on a few newer caches closer to home. Dropped the geohoney off in the city for some retail therapy and set off in search of a cache or two. After grabbing a couople of caches in Dickson, I headed back closer to the city for this cache. Parked the geomobile and headed off for GZ. I was on the right track and a quick bit of revision of the cache description saw me with cache in hand. TFTC ecoathlete
Had a couple of cracks at this. Made my way to GZ using the recommended route but was interrupted by a couple of residents during my initial search, so decided to return later.
Returned 30 minutes later and spotted the container fairly quickly, despite the many hiding options, but not quite what I was expecting. Hint didn't help initially but made sense after the find. TFTC ecoathlete.

Thanks for placing the cache ecoathlete. It was a nice easy find - and a building that doesn't usually get a lot of notice as one drives down Northbourne.
We just missed the tram leaving Civic, so instead of waiting for the next we took the quicker option and walked here. It took us about 15 minutes of searching, as the hint wasn't a great deal of help, and we searched in the wrong place for much of the time. There are many hiding places in this area. Finally when we began to search the correct area we guessed what the cache might be and were proved correct. We both agreed this was (in our opinion) more a 3D, because of the MANY places a cache could be hidden here. Then we continued walking to the next cache. I found the old furniture in the cage interesting. Not my taste, but I can imagine there would people out there who would love it to restore. TFTC ecoathlete.

A quick find, on the wander between dropping off a hire care and work. TFTC.

Gosh. Looking in the wrong place for ages. The CO came out and gave us a huge nudge. Didn't understand the hint and Coolducky which I was searching with said he found it but that was a lie. Had a idea where it was but Coolducky said it wasn't there. Went to proper coordinates and found a container which I had only found once. Fav form me.
TFTC from the Kayakviking!
Quick walk from my hotel. Had just arrived and scoping the scene when the very friendly occupants started to lean out the top windows and offer advice and insisted on location.
A pleasant chat though and still need to look for GZ!
Cheers all good

I headed out after work to complete a few caches to complete the number caches per day challenge. I had five planned but did one more. I had to come here twice, as some people were out the from smoking when I first came by. On my second visit I soon found the secret way to the cache and had it in hand without too many problems.
Thanks.
