Had a good poke around for ages, unfortunately not there for us today. Thanks anyway, hopefully will be back at some other time.
River bank protection work has been done and this one has disappeared. Will look for or replace asap
Parked by the factory, gosh it smells today, and walked the tram line section. Enjoyed and nice to see a green corridor developing alongside the river.
We walked the track this afternoon for our geocaching adventure. Staying in Hokitika with Mr C's cousin for a break. Learn't a new word and meaning today. Clever cache thanks for this maitahisteve.
A quick check and one I had previously thought was muggled has turned up.
Only 1 cache here now.

Found it not like some of the others we found today. We found d two logs here pretty sure one does not belong
Day 2 on the Wilderness cycle trail. We were cycling from the Dorothy Falls to Hokitika on a very hot sunny day. We had time to stop for a few caches and this was one of them. We actually found TWO caches here - but only signed one of them. Tftc
Not for us today. Could not even see a cabbage tree (Ti Kouka) in the area. Hunted through all the bushes and cordylines
Unfortunately all Geocaching through level 3 MUST STOP.

Sorry for late logging, we spent a weekend in Hokitika at an AirBnB walking distance to here (on Dalton St) and I did some running in the morning on Saturday and Sunday. I always prefer to write the logs later on the PC to avoid super short "TFTC" logs, but to be honest it often makes me logging them late, so not sure what's better. Anyway, enjoyed me smiles in Hokitika and catching up with friends.
On holiday in Hokitika for a few days and looking forward to getting a few smileys while we are here. Good start today finding this cache as we didn't read the description at first, which made it harder than it needed to be. Cache is all good. TFTC
While SoBad watched the preliminary races for the Americas Cup, Mrs cycled this small trail of 4 caches. This was the first and found when she followed the GPS. It is usually a good method!!
Thanks.
Thanks.
Thanks for putting out this cache for woolwood9 and I to find!
SL **tm/ww NZ** (may just be a black smudge on the many wet or plastic logs)
*We soon had another good cache located!*
Nice walkway, good caches.

Out on a brief afternoon cyclocache ride around Hokitika. Nice quick find. Thanks for the placement Maitahisteve.
Hope we didn’t startle either is watching the security can this late at night. Hehe
Nice the rain has just stopped again, although it was a pretty poor attempt at rain, and for the west coast it probably did not even rate as something worth mentioning. certainly we did not wear raincoats. I think. That was a few days ago and already my mind is turning to jello! (say that in an increasingly higher pitch and you will get what I mean!)
Taybeedragon and I are off on another weekend's exploring - again! This time to the West Coast. The company owes me some time so I took Friday off. Lots of rain on the way down, but after that it was a nice cloudy-but-not-rainy weekend. It never rains on the West Coast when I come to visit! Parked Zara in Greymouth and on Saturday came down this way in Toby. Taybeedragon had an excellent trip planned - two cycle trips, some TMGTs and adventure labs, 74 caches all up today.

#18420. There were a few objects that fitted the cache name. Quick find by Troodles once we worked out how to interpret the hint. TFTC.
Found with StreetWalkerNZ on the second day of our 3 day trip to Hokitika. We have our bikes with us this trip so are keen to bike some more bike trails on a lovely spring like day.
Lots of Ti Koukas here and searched a few before I had another think about the hint, after that it was a quick find. End of the tram line for us, time to turn back. TFTC.

Found on a three day caching journey over to the West Coast. We really enjoyed the challenging hours spent in solving the many puzzle caches and now the signing off on the log books. We had a great spell of weather as we traveled along the many roads in the area. Many thanks to the various cache owners for placing and maintaining their caches. TFTC
Had a great day traveling from Oamaru to the West Coast, grabbed heaps of caches, and had a lot of fun. Many Thanks Bitsprayer

After what we thought was our last find for the day and cruising home suddenly the notifications of new placements started rolling in. A quick check showed them all in Hoki so we just couldn't let these go. We would be just about passing them! After checking the lay of the land with looking for the last cache along the track we started here. We're learning stuff and it made for a real easy find. Awesome! Thank you maitahisteve
Well done IvyJ on your FTF.
How's that for timing! We were just south of Hokitika heading north when a flurry of new caches in Hokitika were published.
Although we are not FTF hounds we couldn't ignore these. We pulled in to the layby at the southern end of the Hokitika Bridge to save them offline and plan where we had to go.
After a long boring walk along half of the Ross to Ruatapu section of the Wilderness Trail it was a real pleasure to walk this track, the shade was very welcome too.
This was the only one of the new caches we didn't get FTF but very happy to see a newbie take podium honours.
Thank you maitahisteve for adding to our cache total for the day (20) steps (18000+) walking distance (12km) and the excellent timing.
