#18131 - 6:56:00 PM; Day 7 of the European Road Trip and another day to explore Budapest. Noticed this cache wasn't too far from the wharf where we had set off on a river cruise, so when we returned, I set off to collect the required information for this cache. Answers have been sent off to the CO to get the OK. Greetings from Australia. TFTE DINO
During my trip to Budapest, I also explored this earthcache. Flood is always horrific- then and now. It‘s a destroying force of nature. All answers are sent to the owner.
Thanks for working this out!

This week I am in the beautiful Budapest for a Dutch-Hungarian exchange. In between activities, I found a few caches in this great city. I wanted to find an Earthcache as well, and before I hopped into a boat for a trip on the Danube I answered the questions needed for this Earthcache. DlNO, thanks for teaching me about these happenings in the history of Budapest!
THE CACHE:
Found @ 14:18
One of the geocaches logged during today's walk around Donau.
Have sent in answers for both LHCper and Kråkan.

THE TRIP:
Me and Kråkan travelled from Sweden down to Budapest for a 5 day Easter Geocaching vacation. Took a WizzAir flight from Stockholm Skavsta to Budapest. Did arrive on good Friday evening and went back home the same way on Wednesday 12th.
We did stay at central hotel (Silver Hotel Budapest City Center) and had various subtrips planned, including the Challenge trail, the Puzzle trail and the Earth Cache trail. Also walked around a lot in central Budapest - mainly the Pest part - and close to Donau, and logged caches and ALC steps.
Budapest is a nice city - grand is a good word to describe it - although the weight of the history is a bit heavy at times. It does have an excellent systems of trams, metro and busses, and the Budapest Go app worked well. Did seldom have to wait more than just a few minutes at any stop. Scenic views are plenty on the Buda side.
The weather was a bit cold. According to a Swede living here claimed it was the coldest Easter he had experienced. Did warm a bit in the end. At least the flowers and plants had come a bit further along, compared to home where there was still snow when we left.

Found during my 5-day trip to Budapest Hungary. I decided to spent my Easter holiday in this beautiful town. I like visiting other cities and countries.
This was one of my stop in day 3. Easy and quick find, no problem. Thank you for the cache. Answers sent to the owner.

Druhý den našeho velikonocního výletu do Budapešti. Zastavili jsme se pro pár vybraných kousku.
Když jsme procházeli kolem Dunaje, tak jsme si nemohli tuhle EC nechat ujít. U nás máme taky stopy po záplavách. Vltava i Labe se párkrát vylili z brehu docela vysoko.
Díky za zemekeš!

The second day of our Easter trip to Budapest. We stopped to pick up a few choice pieces.
Thanks for the cache!

Húsvéti budapesti kirándulásunk második napja. Megálltunk, hogy felvegyünk néhány válogatott darabot.
Köszönjük a rejtekhelyet!

I really enjoyed learning about the flooding from the Danube and seeing the markers of the water levels. I have sent the answers to the CO and attached a picture of me near GZ.
