I can't believe I got this one!!!!!The four of us ventured down into the depths and found a private deck for launching a kayak. Then we stopped the huge stump. As we looked at it we wondered how anyone could find anything here as its thick with gorse. As I made my way around I spotted the cache but how on earth to get it. I had to take couple of minutes to decide if I was dedicated enough to go in for it. It took me a few minutes to get my courage. My leggings were completely covered in them by the end. But I got it!!!TFTC
**20,811**Loved the cache container, had a good laugh Mrs Geckoh was more into the original Batman than Mr Geckoh. Thanks for an enjoyable cache find. TFTC
So, we learnt today that there are 2 different paths to get to GZ. One a lot easier than the other. How did we find that, because Mrs HeMaLuDy didn't like the look of the path Mr H was taking so decided to see if there was another way. We arrived at GZ at around the same time, but one had a much nicer journey. GZ is quite overgrown and it is not comfortable retrieving the cache. Happy to have found this.
Needs a higher terrain rating imo, this was the most pain I've had while getting a cache lol (anything for the find though)TFTC, cool container
Found him.
I thought i came down the hardway and when back up the other way which was no better.
The terrain might need adjustment.
Thanks G-2 for today's adventure

I came to New Zealand with my wife on honeymoon
It is hard to log all the caches, I found here in New Zealand, so excuse my mass log for caches around Orewa, please
At first i started with caches around Estuary Cycleway, then to Red Beach, Hatfield´s Beach, Millwater and Silverdale. Some of the caches are now disabled as i can see, and some of them were disabled, but were on place.
After consulting with owner I made maintanance on some of disabled and missing caches.
I found many really nice caches...it was awesome, but i think, that some of them (for example Bison caches) have too low D/T combos...but owners are really helpful, so I managed to find each of them. I usually borrowed bike from my brother in law and then in the early morning, or in evening went geocaching. I really liked that routine. So I´m really thankful for all the caches on/near Estuary
I need to write here, that I really like nature in NZ...its a big difference between Europe :/
So – TFTC, guys, and especially The Wonder Stuff for placing and G-2 for placing and hints...and sry for mistakes in my poor English...have a nice day(s) there and u should come to find some caches here in Slovak Republic

Holy moly. I picked my way through thick & thin, soft & mucky footing nearly all the way. Finally found the hint item & nice find there. Had a laugh at the container. TFTC
We are caching around Millwater today to add a few more finds. We made our way down from the eastern end of the retaining wall and began a search for the cache. It took a little while to zero in, but eventually we were looking down on the cache. Thanks.
Dipping a travel bug for a quick visit.

Very cool spot, but tricky to navigate. My youngest (4.5) thought it was cool but lots of gorse
Anzac weekend. Long weekend away been arranged staying at Orewa Camp Ground, with my parents, we have a cabin each and my sis and bro-in-law are staying at Manly beach camp ground. It’ll be a weekend of eating, walks and chatting. Now I’m caching in my van, picking out caches that I can’t safely leave my bike at while going bush as such.
Another cache I have been wanting to do, I read Rafajaw's log, and it nearly scared me to death imagining him climbing down that vertical wall! Why on earth did he do that!! He's a young man that loved danger.
I certainly took the easier route, starting at the far eastern side of the wall and slithered down that way. Oh man... why did I not bring shoes... anyway, after getting to the bottom, I took a hard left and crashed thru, I found myself at a huge stump! But co-ords were well out, so after searching the beast and not coming up with anything, I realised it was the wrong stump, it was a good 1.3m across, but nevertheless wrong stump, I looked at the phone and GZ was still 10m or so away.
So after bush crashing more I found myself out in the open long grass, co-ords sharpened themselves in the open, and I was able to get straight to another large stump and this time, found the cache easy peasey. Not so easy peasey was getting my jandals wet, and having to slip and slide around in them trying to get back up to the road....
Never mind, I had fun, and now it's starting to get dark, still more caching to get done including 2 more WP's of the C.O's adventure lab in town and at the lookout.

Thought about copying Rafajaw but decided that as I am old enough to be his much more sensible mother decided to bush bash instead. We left Daddypig at road level just in case. Wow that stump is big and there was a useful rock to hold the gorse back so that I could reach in. Now to find a way out.
Haven't ventured to this one in the past but it doing the ad lab.
Definitely off road.

This area is beautiful when the tide is in, giving us ideas to kayak all through thia estuary system.

Some amazing views up the top, but how to get down to GZ?? Well, I love a bit of an adventure and so I carefully climbed down the GINORMOUS rock wall (It was a little scary, with a big drop below if I fell), but fortunately I made it all in one piece. Found the cool cache container very quickly despite the annoying presence of gorse... And spotted a cute homemade ladder which led to the sea just below. Luckily I found a different way out, as climbing the rock wall would've been a no-go! Fp given for the neat cache setting and container. TFTC G-2! (See attached photos)
A beautiful, sunny day enticed me to head outside on a caching trip where I ended up walking around Orewa, Millwater and Silverdale for 8 hours between 11:30am and 7:30pm! In total I made 40 finds including 30 traditional's and 10 AL's... Thanks very much to all CO's who placed caches around this lovely area!

A bit more challenging than the previous ones along this trail but luckily Robin put a smile on the boys' faces and made it worthwhile. TFTC.
Found whilst out exploring with keylev, cragger, NZ Iceman and NZ Travellers.

Headed out to explore this area with the family and NZ Travellers. Optimistically we brought a picnic along even though the weather was not looking like it was going to play ball but in the end it was hot, sunny and quite humid so a great day for a walk and a picnic!!
Another awesome spot!! Found a way in and then followed what looked like an old path which lead us straight to the cache - yay!
Thanks for the cache - signed log as SEAC - fav point for the location.

After a few days rain, the weather finally cleared on Labour day for a much needed outing to stretch the legs and grab a few caches. Had a picnic in Orewa with fellow caching bubble mates Keylev, NZIceman, Laval and Cragger and enjoyed a walk in the sun to a few caches.
MrNZT and Keylev went off-path to find this one while the rest of the SEAC crew kept watch.
Quick find and we all admired the nice cache container. TFTC!

My first Geostash, very cool thanks, left a trinket. One side of the sign in is full.
Time to head off piste and down the way to GZ. Soon arrived as should be and holy smokes -there's the cache. All good and replaced as found, thanks Pow, Boom, Chur.
Moved the car to make the next piece nice and easy, a loop walk around Arran Point. I ended up getting all 7 on offer and that was nice. I parked near the 'flag it' cache and had a quick feed before setting off on the loop.
Another weekend day with mrs c out of town and just some modest local-ish goals to achieve. I had intended to do most of my outstanding Millwater/Orewa caches but a persistent drizzle and then a proper spell of rain meant that it was just Millwater. The afternoon was all about collected a TB that had been located amongst a swag-haul dumped in a park near Manakau City, facilitated by a UK cacher on FB. Quite the mission but I rescued the TB and declined the accompanying swag (stolen goods probably)

Lol understood the title when you find it. Saw a couple skinks down by the cache too. Tftc
Out and about today enjoying this pleasant day of spring to find some geocaches. I parked up on the new road and made my way down the bank and along through the new vegetation. I soon found the likely GZ and was rewarded with a quick find. The cache has been letting in water however. Though I tried my best to sign the waterproof log sheet. This one may need some TLC, as Ron mentioned previously. Cheers for the cache placement!
There are lots of things here that could have come from a cache, but are just packed alongside the cache. May need a little TLC to sort it out. While you are at it, extend the trail to here. TFTC.
Bit of a scramble to get here but eventually found Robin. It is a bit exposed so suspect this one could deteriorate.
Made my way across to this one whilst leaving my partner at the top.Plenty of rubbish about which was why I got slightly worried when I spotted what I thought was the cache but manage to find robin hidden there too.Managed to find an easier way back.Nice location.
Good location but shame about rubbish in the area. And also I am glad to read cache description before approach

Little bit spooky at sunset, looks like maybe someone building things down here.
Found this geocache pretty fast. It was an easy find except that it was a bit of a walk to get there.
Made plans with TheWonderStuff for a little caching out in Millwater this morning. A muggle nearby wasn't taking much heed of the water restrictions in the area, as he was hosing all the geese poop off his driveway. We snuck down the hill and followed our GPS to GZ. It looks like someone has been setting up home down here. Didn't take too long before TWS uncovered the cache.
Nice find while in the area with tmann421 today
Enjoying the trip and the caches

*We enjoyed the drive / walk around the area.*
Stamped logs as tm/ww NZ which may just look like a black smudge on plastic logs!

What a bush crash, long way down. Some homeless person nearby but he didn’t notice me. Kept my boy on the road as lookout (also bit too difficult to traverse with crutches). TFTC
Headed off towards GZ from the previous cache. Actually found the area around here quite creepy with the presence of the suitcase, imagination doing overtime as to what could be inside and the blue strapping tape sticking out didn't help (binding up dead bodies maybe) anyway very happy that GZ was a little way away from there so a quick find, sign and replacement. TFTC
We had no problems with the prickles here and soon found Robin in the Tardis. Obvious signs of a rough sleeper around here or if not it's become a dumping ground which is a shame
Once at gz we saw the suitcase mentioned in a previous log so knew we were in the correct area. After checking out a few items matching the hint, we soon spotted the hiding spot and the interesting cache container. The cache also had an interesting note left by a muggle!

I saw this published yesterday while I was out hiking the Puhoi trail so sadly missed a chance at FTF which would have been just perfect for me given my caching name. I just had to get this one however so headed over this morning. I approached it from the forgotten trail then headed "off road" to find my way to GZ which I reached after battling through the vegetation. Host spotted after a quick look around, as other finders have said it does appear there are signs of people sleeping rough here but fortunately no-one in evidence to bother me. When I retrieved the TARDIS however it seems to have morphed into a different kind of phone box - either this is the effect of Batman and Robin or perhaps something more sinister such as my arch nemesis The Master! Anyway great idea for a cache and thanks to G-2 for setting me a Doctor Who themed cache to come and look for. TFTC and FP awarded. Picked up TB and will move it on.

Easy find on my enjoyable drive up here today to find some newish caches!
Funny container...and great to meet Master Robin.
Saw suitcase nearby, so didn't linger....

As we were driving to Millwater to start a bike track & mop up some unfound caches we got this new cache notification. Seeing it was where we were heading we decided to stop off & maybe be first. On entering the gardens we saw a man at an area which could be GZ. He wasn't a Cacher but a resident, with his bed & luggage within 5 metres of GZ !

Didn't immediately spot the correct hint item, but when I turned around there it was, and an interesting cache as well, dropped a TB, cheers
