We were running a little bit early for dinner so we stopped in this suburb to grab two caches. A quick find and onto the next!Thankyou for placing and maintaining these caches, OCW irondale on a windy but sunny and warm Christchurch evening. TFTC
I am in Christchurch visiting a fellow geocacher, for an extra long long weekend. But they are decidedly NOT morning people so after the three S's and some breakfast I grabbed the keys and headed out for some adventuring. Stopped near here and went for a short walk, as the CO says, to see where the path goes. It's a cold morning. No one is up although it is past dawn. There is a fine mist lifting off the creek, and I am quite impressed with the planting along it. I should have taken a photo - it was quite beautiful.I don't normally give favourites for micros, but the beauty here really stuck me. I bet in two hours it would be ho-hum. But right now, it's favourite material!
Was a little tricky to lever out but got it this time. Had to deconstruct trackable inserted to fit.
Deconstructed trackable to leave behind, please connect when you take to replace.
Found it by following the hint to the letter and having a good feel around. Thanks for placing!
Walk past here daily and still havent found it yet. Were 0/5 finds with mr 6 today so will try another day without him
Early start so I came down to have a look, as I need 2 today for the 4 a day challenge just out of Richmond. As it's still dark, I had a feel around and soon had the nice little sneaky hide in my hands. Walking back to the car I saw a decent sized eel just chilling right by the bridge. TFTC StreetWalkerNZ, the cache was found in good order . Signed, sealed and returned to GZ. Find #4752
Our family moved to Christchurch a few months back, and since then we have had the privilege of hosting some of my Wellington Puzzlers group members for caching weekends. This weekend was TwigNZ's turn for a visit. It's fish and chip Friday. An adventure just to get to a F & C shop that it open for some reason, 3rd time lucky! It must be a good chipper as we were told it was a 25min wait. What to do while waiting!! *light bulb moment* Let's go geocaching! This was the second cache on our whirlwind mission. By the time we got here it was drizzling quite substantially. Luckily it didn't take long for me to locate, sign and replace, then off to the next one. Thanks for the cache.
I very much love getting to visit the South Island. Until recently it wasn't something I got to do very often, but in the last year I've managed a series of mini-trips for geocaching, and here we are at the start of 2024 with another one. Just like my first SI trip in 2023, I've come to Christchurch to target a few specific caches to help with my Jasmer Grid, and qualification for a few challenges I'm currently working on.This is Day 2, and it's been raining (mostly) all day. I've still managed to get out and find a reasonable number of caches so I'm happy. Tonight I offered to get Fish 'n' Chips for my hosts, and having ordered them we were told we'd have to wait about 25 minutes. Well, that sounds like good caching time right there, so we jumped back into the car and found 3 caches of which this was the second.ThatDarnBear made the find here, as we tried to keep out of the worst of the rain. No issues to report with this cache, and we soon added our names to the log and then replaced everything as found before heading back to the car again. Thanks for setting this one up.
TFTC. Visiting a friend in this recent subdivision and look there a few caches.
Hanging around near here so decided to do a quick hunt. Didn't get there immediately but the muggles working in the house going up across the stream didn't pay me any attention so that was handy

On a rather cold windy morning, one last holiday in memory of good old QEII, thought I'd get some in. Here's to Liz, long live Chuck the Third.... Cheers

Accidentally video chatted with a mate, so he helped me find it. Thanks. Some cool houses around here
Easy Cache. hint is very helpful, lots of people walking through in my experience so be careful
Bit tricky to retrieve but perseverance and my pen were helpful.
Builders on a new house overlooking the site were slightly suspicious
Cool hide in a lovely, out of the way location

I went out this morning to find the two closest caches to where I am staying this weekend. Both within a couple of hundred metres, so it was a nice stroll checking out the neighbourhood and finding these.
This was not where I first looked, but once reading the hint it became clear it was just a couple of metres away. I could sight it before having a feel for it, and it was a quick retrieval. No issues here, I am enjoying the walk around the subdivision. TFTC StreetWalkerNZ.

I was down in Chch for a few days and had a small list of caches to visit while i was there. This is all a new housing area and after a short amble along the track i came to the G Z and after a short search and getting the hint correct i had the cache in hand, signed and replaced without any muggle passing by. All was well with cache and i took a couple of photos of the housing and stream etc .
thank you for this cache .

17:57 01-01-22 another souvenir for another year caching. TFTC it was good to change a green dot to turn into a smilie within walking distance of home.
Off visiting the location of a lifetime. Nice area, a bit far from the city center from us, still building going on around GZ. Massive houses (none of us wanted to do the cleaning of one). Easy find using the hint, nobody around, this looks really quiet. Both container and logbook were in good condition. Thanks for the hide!
I got to GZ and was immediately joined by Moon, a fluffy black cat. She was very friendly and just wanted lots of attention. I had to steal away a few minutes to pay attention to the cache, too. TFTC.
Had some time to spare and really wanted to have a go with a new device supplied by TrackMe NZ. Nice little walk and easy find after a methodical search. Loged signed and I realized it was the 11/11 so a good day to de outside. Oh and made a couple of Tiktoks too.

Coming home from a day's Caching at Rakaia We thought we had better have another look at this one and....Yay Gotch ya....So please to finally have it of our list..TFTH
Hint was very specific and made for a QEF. TFTC - a lovely spot for a Sunday morning stroll.
walked over in the dark. Had a search, read the hint, searched some more, reread the hint, searched a bit more, read the hint correctly, found the cache.
Came back with a selection of screwdrivers to pry the cache out, and the biggest did the trick. Have replaced the cache nearby (as per hint) in the same type of hide, but one where the cache is not (quite) so snug.
Cache is still there, but I wasn't able to extract it. Will return with some more appropriate tools to see if I can free it.
We were having a big day out with Little Horrible and knew she had found this one,so we made use of her knowledge and thought she'd find it for us,and she too as well couldn't find it..
Sadly no Smilie It might pay for you to check it out..
