Found a little while back, with Punga and Paua, on our way back from Rotorua. TFTC!
#2747. Day 6 of a road trip from Wellington to Morrinsville (& back) to attend the 100th birthday party of a distant cousin.Yesterday, I travelled down from Te Aroha to Rotorua, and this morning continued my trip south. This wetland looked like a nice place to take a break, and hey there's a cache here too. Found it in the first place I looked.Tftc rosmar.
Enjoyed seeing the Wetlands which we would have otherwise driven past thank you
Coords are accurate. I'm sure the hint should be the opposite compass point. TFTC
Nice stop on our way to Taupo. Coords are spot on. A thorough search helps.#2273 - Mar 8, 2024TFTC rosmar
On our fivth day in New Zealand we travel from Rotorua to Turangi. This nice cache lay on our way.TFTCHennesAt the end comes the poem of the day.New Zealand By James K. Baxter (for Monte Holcroft)These unshaped islands, on the sawyers bench,Wait for the chisel of the mind,Green canyons to the south, immense and passive,Penetrated rarely, seeded onlyBy the deer-cullers shot, or else in the northTribes of the shark and the octopus,Mangroves, black hair on a boxers hand. The founding fathers with their guns and bibles,Botanist, whaler, added bones and namesTo the land, to us a bridleAs if the id were a horse: the swampy townsLike dreamers that struggle to wake,Longing for the poets truthAnd the lovers pride. Something new and oldExplores its own pain, hearingThe rains choir on curtains of grey mossOr fingers of the Tasman pressingOn breasts of hardening sand, as actorsFind their own solitude in mirrors,As one who has buried his dead,Able at last to give with an open hand.
A wet start to the day again. Today mainly Roturoa and Taupe to discover. Lots of caches and adventures! TFTC Wilbert67
We are visiting New Zealand from Australia with Wilbert67.We have seen some new interesting places and picking up caches along the way.Thank you to all the COs for their hides
No, tak to m do vody nikdo nedostane. Bahno stkalo a do pl metru. Pak jsem to vzala siln vedlej silnic kolem trailu s kekami a njak si odlovila. Kolem opt zvlnn kopekov zelen krajina, ovce a krvy. In the morning I went to the river for an earth cache and then set off in the direction of Rotorua. Along the way, I made stops at attractions and also at caches. It was beautiful, up to 25C in the afternoon. The path is scenic and leads past lakes and various geothermal features. I visited hot streams and a mud lake and in the evening I arrived at Lake Rotorua, where I will stay for 2 nights. Thanks to everyone for their caches and greetings from the Czech Republic.
4-week family trip through NZ - Find #82!The hint confused us quite a bit, because it gets the compass direction wrong . In the end, we simply did a thorough search at the coordinates, and after a few minutes we found the box .TFTC!
Heading north with tmann421 for a few days. This was day two with plenty of miles for us to cover.Enjoyed the hide here Signed log tm/ww NZTFTC

On our long term trip from Germany to Western Australia / Tasmania / New Zealand for about 3,5 month, we arrived New Zealand and on our way across NZ, we pick up some caches. On the way from Rotorua to the Tongariro National Park, we made a short stop and searched for the cache.
#14,475. A quick exploration in Tahorakur Forest. Parked for a short walk to the GZ, which was fortunately all quiet at the time of our visit. Relatively quick find. The cache was in good condition, all nice and dry inside. After years on our bucket list and three cancellations due to Covid, we are thrilled to finally be here. Following several cruises we flew from Sydney, Australia to Wellington, New Zealand to begin our next adventure. Picked up our rental vehicle and will be driving, exploring, hiking, and caching both islands for 3.5 weeks. A lovely park where we enjoyed a picnic lunch and grabbing two smilies. This was a nice walk to GZ where we immediately had our hands on the container. Soon our ink was on the log. The park was muggle free during our stop, but we had fun watching three different types of birds flying by while feeding their babies in nearby trees. Thanks for adding to our adventure today, Nukeworker and Racquetball Girl, Arkansas, USA
It's day twenty-one of this months Wheel of Challenges challenge, the streak, and today I needed to find a cache. So I found this one.
Having spent the night in Mt Maunganui, today I was heading south and home. I had a handful of specific caches marked to find along the way for various reasons.
This one was on my list as the coordinates help me with a challenge cache I am trying to complete. All good here, log was signed and everything returned as it should be.
---
Thanks to rosmar for placing and maintaining this cache. I enjoy each and every cache I find, and it is only with CO's like this creating them and placing them out in the world that this wonderful game continues.
[DGSc-Bulk] tagging to help me generate a list for GC30AD8 - DGSc Challenge.

I stopped off here for breakfast. A nice stroll to find the cache between passing showers. TFTC
Found during a lunch break. Found with the help of the hint. Thanks for showing us this place.
TFTC. On my way home from volunteering at the Ironman event in Taupo and saw these cache pop up. So I went to grab em.
Starting towards home today and stopped for this one on our way south. I recall doing the nearby cache at an earlier stage. This was a relatively quick find although I missed it on first glance! #5981. TFTC.
Made a quick pit stop here to stretch the legs while driving North today. After finding the cache beside the rest area, I wandered over to briefly explore some of the wetland trails, and check out this cache before continuing on my way. A great spot to have a cache, thanks for placing, cheers
On the way home with FMZ from another cache at Ohaaki, passing by and this time we actually stopped to search for this one, so many times we've driven past without stopping but this time we stopped!!! I don't know why I thought it was a longer walk, took my bag and drink bottle and off we went and suddenly we were there, not far at all! Well, that was a quick find and a quick but pleasant little nature stroll, on a quiet grey day as we wait for the Cyclone to arrive. No wind, no rain, just lots of traffic about. TFTC.
Short stop on our way to Rotorua. Nice walk in the wetlands.
Thank you for the cache

Found on the way south after spending Christmas with my family in Rotorua. Should be able to get to Palmerston North in two days. hopefully.
While driving up to the Bay of Plenty from Wellington, I stopped in the nearby rest area in hope of finding the two geocaches located here. This was the first find of the two and fourth find for the day overall. I intended to find the other cache first, but as I hopped out of my car and started approaching it, a muggle unexpectedly arrived and parked very close to GZ. Therefore, I decided to instead take the small walk around the wetland and find this one first.
I have occasionally stopped in this rest area during my drives up north in the past, but this was the first time I got out of my car to explore the wetland. Personally, I'm not the biggest fan of walking around wetlands, they just make me think about mosquitos and bad smells. This one however, was a very enjoyable little walk. The sun was out shining, it was great to stretch my legs and, more importantly, no mosquitos or bad smells.
I soon arrived at GZ to begin searching for the cache. I had read a previous log stating a DNF so was slightly concerned this seemingly easy cache could be missing. Fortunately, the cache is still there and I was able to sign the logsheet with no difficulty at all. Replaced as I found it.
Many thanks for bringing me out here

Today I am driving from Taupo to Rotorua, so this cx was right on the way. I'm not too sure about the direction in the hint, but I found it anyways. TFTC.
Nice easy park and short walk. TFTC log paper is over flowing so paper needed asap. Thanks
Thanks rosmar for bringing us to this pleasant location. Good to see protection and restoration of this wetland area. The container is dry but the log sheet is full. TFTC.
School Holidays so time for a tiki tour and some caching. Heading down to an event in Sanson, Winter Warmer IX. Great place for a cup of tea and two caches. Never noticed the wetlands before so thanks for bringing us here. Cache and log all fine. Happy to add to the favourites. Thanks rosmar for the smiley.
Nice to see the development of the wetland. Nice distraction on the way home from Rotorua. #1988

NZ MEGA 2020 (in 2022) road trip - Day 10
After spending a wonderful week in Auckland, with so many highlights, it was the final day of my break. Day 2 of the long trip home, having chosen to break it up over 2 days as i would end up driving about 900km in order to try to visit a whole host of caches that I've wanted to try to find for ages.
The pair of caches found near this rest stop would end up being my last caches for the day. After this it was head down and bum up for a solid session of driving back home.
No issues making a quick find here today. No problem with the container or the log, which soon had my name in it before I placed it back as found ready for the next seeker
Thanks for bringing me here today.
