Was dropping something off nearby at a friend's place just up the road tonight. I've loved the Ginger Meg's comics since I was a child and have a few pictures signed and drawn by James Kemsley that I cherish. I always wanted to come to this park, albeit during the day, but alas I'm here at night and could make the find tonight. Thanks and I'll be sure to come back when visiting my friend in daylight hours to see the park now I know it's so close to their place.
Found with Scotttiew and Ally while visiting from Melbourne for Ally’s baptism - also test driving a new VW Station Wagon- TBs paid a visit:
An easy find, whilst trying to find a way to the Florence Cotton cache, thanks
Quick find on a walk through the area, stopped as I almost tripped over GZ. TFTC!
It’s survived all the water but I couldn’t open the lid, it was stuck on fast. I needed a cache for my calendar day so I chose this one.
Stocked with Woolworths swag, although I’m unsure if the Woolies mini’s holding real lollies. Really can’t miss this with the tell tale stacked rock in front, thanks Rama497

Found Fast because it was really easy to find. We had our first COVID safe picnic with the Grandparents. Geo Kids went looking this time and found it in no time.
Thanks for the cache.
Thanks for the cache.
Found it! TFTC. It was fully uncovered and there were no goodies inside. We put some stuff in though!
Found with Ella_June in this busy park way down the bottom of the valley.
Great history and legacy
Thanks Rama497

Found quickly because it was fully exposed. We left it as far under as we could with a bit of cover thrown on. TftC!
Awesome hiding spot and great park for the kids to enjoy. My son found it using the hint.

Ginger Meggs is well known and Eagle Eyed Monkey Girl remininsced on the mural cache in Hornsby we did two years ago.
This was a very easy cache, but nice to see where Jimmy Bancks spend his early years.

I found this cache back in Sept last year, but for some reason, forgot to log it!!
So claimed the actual find today.
Log was a bit damp, so phoned the CO and brought it home with me to do a better dryout. CO now has the Cache

First find in a while! Had to use the hint. Very nice container for it too. Loads of fun!
This is just our second day of geocaching. So we were very excited to find that there is a cache in Ginger Meggs, a place we often come to and love. Loved reading the write-up about the park and how it came to be named in the cache listing. The cache is in great condition with some nice labelling TFTC! Dropping off Travel Bug Shake Me here. (which we found in our very first cache yesterday!)
A day of hiking around the hills. This one just happened to be within striking range on our map as a drive by in between walks. TNLN TFTC
It would of been better if the hint was a clue for you to find instead of where it is exactly.
Today we took an afternoon drive up to Hornsby to have a go at the Adventure Lab, visit the SideTracked MultiCache, and collect a few Traditionals in the area. This was the 2nd of 10 finds for the afternoon.
Arrived at a deserted Ginger Meggs Park and made a nice quick find at GZ. TNLNSL, and then replaced as found. Looks like lots of construction work going on nearby. TFTC Rama497.

I missed this one a few weeks ago, and was very happy to see it had since been replaced. I did my last visit on foot from Hornsby station - as part of a morning's geo-trail hike which seemed a long way at the time, especially back up that hill. But, driving it today, I was amazed to see how long it in fact was... and yet I made it!!
Found easily today. In Ginger Meggs Park. Not another soul about this time.
Thank you, Rama497

Found after cache replaced by Rama497. Thought I might be the FTF on the new log but was beaten by another cacher. Thanks CO for your prompt attention. TNLN TFTC.
The cache container has now been replaced.
It is already for the next finder.
Please make sure you cover the cache with the camo once you have found it.

Unfortunately the cache has gone.
I will have to make a new container to place back.
I hope to have it back soon.

After a few days of heavy rain and cabin fever, it was great to get out today and do a decent sized walk. (The steep up-hill return to Hornsby Station from Ginger Meggs Park was perhaps a little too much... although seen in reverse, it would make a fine black ski slope).
I love Ginger Meggs and this is a neat park. With the specific hint, it was pretty obvious where this cache had to be, and I'm afraid it wasn't there. Or at least, I couldn't find it. It's over a month since the last log, so maybe a bush turkey carried it off... or a dreaded drop bear from the surrounding forests.
Anyway, I'll put this on my watch list and hope to get back (perhaps by car next time)....
Cheers Rama497 and thank you for some fun exercise.

Ducked down to the park with MrSmith00 after school pickup.
His daughter provided the perfect cover, whilst I quickly discovered the cache.
Managed the signing and replacement just before the park was overrun with other kids and parents.

Tftc, with Azzepious today and he needed a cache to keep his impressive streak going. This was my closest unfound. Picked up the geokid from school and took her to the park for a play while we made the find.
Decided to head out and grab this one this afternoon, it's not that far from home but would be a nuisance walking or by bike with the hill involved to get back out. Much easier now I have a car again. Nice and easy find, with not that many people in the playground and none of them looking my way. Thanks Rama497.

Woohoo!!!!! My longest geocaching slump of 68 days, due to the Covid-19 restrictions, has been broken with this hide from Rama497. I actually came here last Saturday but was muggled out by some bloke near the entrance to the park that appeared to be camping out of his car. He was watching me so I thought it best not to compromise the cache. It's great to be back in the saddle again. The cache location was easily spotted and when I returned the container, I added some extra natural camouflage to help conceal the cache. Thanks for a fun little hunt Rama497.

Doing the Blue Gums walk and decided to stop by to find our first geocache ever! Thanks
I brought geodog up to Hornsby for a walk today. These bushwalks are not what he is used to as our local streets are too crowded with muggles these days, used to just be me and geodog walking around.
Once I arrived here I realised I'd been to this park for a cache once before and we met another dog of the same breed here.
I used to read Ginger Meggs, good old fashioned fun comics unlike the weird stuff these days with all sorts hidden undertones. Bring back the good oldies!
There's no problem about spreading viruses with this cache. The container was so greased up with hand sanitizer that I thought I'd never be able to open it. Finally managed to get inside and sign the log. Washing hands afterwards, tricky as you need to bring your own tap top in this park.

Collected this while on the hunt the for another, nevermind its name.
Thanks for the hide!

I went for a bushwalking with dad today and he suggested I try to find this cache before we went home. I found it without any trouble, and I really liked the container. I hid it again very well. TFTC.
Quick find with Ris768 thanks Rama497 for placing this cache

Just the one today, and a return to a familiar park, where I've previously made a find.
As I noted in my log then, I went to school with the son of Lloyd Piper, the third cartoonist to pen the strip.
Quick find here today. Signed the log in the shelter, then back for the replace.

I needed to fill a calendar spot today, so I snuck out after dinner to make this find. First attempt was abandoned because of muggles in the park, but a bit later it was a nice easy find. I know this park well as it's near the start and finish of some pleasant local bush walks. TFTC.

Companions: None
Muggles: None
Weather: Wet, cool and smokey summer afternoon

After damaging the credit-card balance at Westfield I decided to find this cache on the way home. The park was empty due to the ordinary weather so I was able to search in peace and make a quick find - TNLNSL, TFTC
